英語語彙におけるゲルマン系二重語(1)
Doublets are defined as the words that are congnates but different in form and/or in current meanings. English doublets can be categorized into Italic-, Germanic-, Greek- and Eastern-derived doublets by their etymological sources. This series aims first to subcategorize, according to the process of their borrowings, the Germanic doublets selected from Allen\u27s list of English doublets, and secound to present categorically the processes of their borrowings into Englsih.
