Soft Set Theory: Generalizations, Fixed Point Theorems, and Applications
Tesis por compendioMathematical models have extensively been used in problems related to
engineering, computer sciences, economics, social, natural and medical sciences
etc. It has become very common to use mathematical tools to solve,
study the behavior and different aspects of a system and its different subsystems.
Because of various uncertainties arising in real world situations,
methods of classical mathematics may not be successfully applied to solve
them. Thus, new mathematical theories such as probability theory and fuzzy
set theory have been introduced by mathematicians and computer scientists
to handle the problems associated with the uncertainties of a model. But
there are certain deficiencies pertaining to the parametrization in fuzzy set
theory. Soft set theory aims to provide enough tools in the form of parameters
to deal with the uncertainty in a data and to represent it in a useful
way. The distinguishing attribute of soft set theory is that unlike probability
theory and fuzzy set theory, it does not uphold a precise quantity. This
attribute has facilitated applications in decision making, demand analysis,
forecasting, information sciences, mathematics and other disciplines.
In this thesis we will discuss several algebraic and topological properties
of soft sets and fuzzy soft sets. Since soft sets can be considered as setvalued
maps, the study of fixed point theory for multivalued maps on soft
topological spaces and on other related structures will be also explored.
The contributions of the study carried out in this thesis can be summarized
as follows:
i) Revisit of basic operations in soft set theory and proving some new
results based on these modifications which would certainly set a new
dimension to explore this theory further and would help to extend its
limits further in different directions. Our findings can be applied to
develop and modify the existing literature on soft topological spaces
ii) Defining some new classes of mappings and then proving the existence
and uniqueness of such mappings which can be viewed as a positive
contribution towards an advancement of metric fixed point theory
iii) Initiative of soft fixed point theory in framework of soft metric spaces
and proving the results lying at the intersection of soft set theory and
fixed point theory which would help in establishing a bridge between
these two flourishing areas of research.
iv) This study is also a starting point for the future research in the area of
fuzzy soft fixed point theory.Abbas, M. (2014). Soft Set Theory: Generalizations, Fixed Point Theorems, and Applications [Tesis doctoral no publicada]. Universitat Politècnica de València. https://doi.org/10.4995/Thesis/10251/48470TESISCompendi
Convergence and almost sure T-stability for a random iterative sequence generated by a generalized random operator
The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of generalized φ-weakly contraction
random operators and then to prove the convergence and almost sure T-stability of
Mann and Ishikawa-type random iterative schemes. We also prove that a random
fixed point of such operators is Bochner integrable. Our results generalize, extend and
improve various results in the existing literature including the results in Berinde (Bul.

Fixed points and best approximation in Menger convex metric spaces
summary:We obtain necessary conditions for the existence of fixed point and approximate fixed point of nonexpansive and quasi nonexpansive maps defined on a compact convex subset of a uniformly convex complete metric space. We obtain results on best approximation as a fixed point in a strictly convex metric space
Common fixed point theorems for occasionally weakly compatible mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition
We obtain several fixed point theorems for a class of operators called
occasionally weakly compatible maps defined on a symmetric space satisfying a generalized contractive condition. These results establish some of the most general fixed point theorems for four maps. Our theorem generalizes Theorem 1 of [A. Aliouche, A common fixed point theorem for weakly compatible mappings in symmetric spaces satisfying a contractive condition of integral type, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 322(2006),796-802] and Theorem 1 of [X. Zhang, Common fixed point theorems for some new generalized contractive type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 333(2007), 780-786] and those contained

A Simulation function approach for best proximity point and variational inequality problems
We study sufficient conditions for existence of solutions to the global optimization problem min(x is an element of A) d(x, fx), where A, B are nonempty subsets of a metric space (X, d) and f : A -> B belongs to the class of proximal simulative contraction mappings. Our results unify, improve and generalize various comparable results in the existing literature on this topic. As an application of the obtained theorems, we give some solvability theorems of a variational inequality problem
Fixed point results of enriched interpolative Kannan type operators with applications
[EN] The purpose of this paper is to introduce the class of enriched interpolative Kannan type operators on Banach space that contains theclasses of enriched Kannan operators, interpolative Kannan type contraction operators and some other classes of nonlinear operators. Some examples are presented to support the concepts introduced herein. A convergence theorem for the Krasnoselskij iteration method to approximate fixed point of the enriched interpolative Kannan type operators is proved. We study well-posedness, Ulam-Hyers stability and periodic point property of operators introduced herein. As an application of the main result, variational inequality problems is solved.Abbas, M.; Anjum, R.; Riasat, S. (2022).
