Development Of Energy Audit Strategy For Ammonia Plant
This paper addresses the implementation and Development method of an energy audit Strategy in Ammonia plant. Energy audit, as an effective energy-saving and emission-reducing measure, was applied in thousands of high energy-consuming enterprises around the world. In this paper, energy audit concept and purpose is analyzed. Therefore, the main objectives of this projectis to develop an energy Audit Strategy which can serve for different forms of energy, develop an approach/algorithm for conducting an energy audit of Ammonia plant and conduct a case-study to apply the developed approach in ammonia plant. Moreover, the world's average net energy efficiency for ammonia plant is 38.6GJ/MT, in this case
study we found the net energy efficiency of this particular plant is around 30GJ/MT which is in the range of the benchmark. In addition, there is electricity data that we are missing in this calculation that is why it is quite law. As a result, if we had that data the Net Energy Efficiency ofthe plant would have been around 35 GJ/t NH3

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of profit sharing financing and partial sale financing on profitability level -Return On Asset (ROA) - PT Bank Syariah Mandiri Makassar Branch with the purpose To examine the effect of financing the results and partial sale financing to the level of profitability -Return On Asset (ROA) - PT Bank Syariah Mandiri Makassar Branch. Data collection using documentation while the type of data used is quantitative data sourced from company reports. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple regression statistical analysis. Based on the results of partial significance test data processing (Test-t) obtained that the variables of profit sharing (X1) and buying and selling (X2) have a significant influence on the dependent variable (ROA). Meanwhile, based on hypothesis test result simultaneously (F test) where H0 is rejected which means that independent variables (financing of profit sharing and selling pattern) have a significant influence together to dependent variable (ROA)

Lobe-Specific Calcium Binding in Calmodulin Regulates Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase Activation
BACKGROUND: Human endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) requires calcium-bound calmodulin (CaM) for electron transfer but the detailed mechanism remains unclear. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: Using a series of CaM mutants with E to Q substitution at the four calcium-binding sites, we found that single mutation at any calcium-binding site (B1Q, B2Q, B3Q and B4Q) resulted in ∼2-3 fold increase in the CaM concentration necessary for half-maximal activation (EC50) of citrulline formation, indicating that each calcium-binding site of CaM contributed to the association between CaM and eNOS. Citrulline formation and cytochrome c reduction assays revealed that in comparison with nNOS or iNOS, eNOS was less stringent in the requirement of calcium binding to each of four calcium-binding sites. However, lobe-specific disruption with double mutations in calcium-binding sites either at N- (B12Q) or at C-terminal (B34Q) lobes greatly diminished both eNOS oxygenase and reductase activities. Gel mobility shift assay and flavin fluorescence measurement indicated that N- and C-lobes of CaM played distinct roles in regulating eNOS catalysis; the C-terminal EF-hands in its calcium-bound form was responsible for the binding of canonical CaM-binding domain, while N-terminal EF-hands in its calcium-bound form controlled the movement of FMN domain. Limited proteolysis studies further demonstrated that B12Q and B34Q induced different conformational change in eNOS. CONCLUSIONS: Our results clearly demonstrate that CaM controls eNOS electron transfer primarily through its lobe-specific calcium binding
Pooled analysis of WHO Surgical Safety Checklist use and mortality after emergency laparotomy
Background The World Health Organization (WHO) Surgical Safety Checklist has fostered safe practice for 10 years, yet its place in emergency surgery has not been assessed on a global scale. The aim of this study was to evaluate reported checklist use in emergency settings and examine the relationship with perioperative mortality in patients who had emergency laparotomy. Methods In two multinational cohort studies, adults undergoing emergency laparotomy were compared with those having elective gastrointestinal surgery. Relationships between reported checklist use and mortality were determined using multivariable logistic regression and bootstrapped simulation. Results Of 12 296 patients included from 76 countries, 4843 underwent emergency laparotomy. After adjusting for patient and disease factors, checklist use before emergency laparotomy was more common in countries with a high Human Development Index (HDI) (2455 of 2741, 89.6 per cent) compared with that in countries with a middle (753 of 1242, 60.6 per cent; odds ratio (OR) 0.17, 95 per cent c.i. 0.14 to 0.21, P <0001) or low (363 of 860, 422 per cent; OR 008, 007 to 010, P <0.001) HDI. Checklist use was less common in elective surgery than for emergency laparotomy in high-HDI countries (risk difference -94 (95 per cent c.i. -11.9 to -6.9) per cent; P <0001), but the relationship was reversed in low-HDI countries (+121 (+7.0 to +173) per cent; P <0001). In multivariable models, checklist use was associated with a lower 30-day perioperative mortality (OR 0.60, 0.50 to 073; P <0.001). The greatest absolute benefit was seen for emergency surgery in low- and middle-HDI countries. Conclusion Checklist use in emergency laparotomy was associated with a significantly lower perioperative mortality rate. Checklist use in low-HDI countries was half that in high-HDI countries.Peer reviewe
