To evaluate the psychoemotional state change of people with Parkinson's disease after occupational therapy. 4. To evaluate the quality of life of people with Parkinson‘s disease after occupational therapy. 5. To evaluate the sufficiency employment and psychoemotional state of interfaces with quality of life of people with Parkinson‘s disease. Methods of the study. The subjects, who participated in the study, were randomized into 2 groups of 6 people: I group and II group. Group I occupational therapy groups were applied to study group I, and individual occupational therapy sessions for II. At the first meeting, we introduced the study process, the requirements, the tests that will be completed, the persons signed the consent form. For the study, we selected the Quality of Life SF-36 questionnaire, the Canadian Performance Test, the PHQ-9 Patient Health Questionnaire, which was completed twice before and after the study. Contingent of the study. The study was conducted in 2018. March-May in Jurbarkas city. A total of 12 people with Parkinson's disease were involved, of which 4 men (33%) and 8 women (67%) (see Figure 1) and belong to the Parkinson's Society. The subjects aged 56 to 81 years (mean age of subjects was 72.5 (± 7.85) years). Conclusions. 1. For the user’s comfort in modern programs are created system of means, which are called graphical user interface (GUI). GUI is the window, created by user, with lay out graphical elements: command push button, edit text, list boxes, checkboxes, menu and etc. User graphical interface technology started to implant also in modern computer systems, from which the most advanced one – MATLAB. This work examines two ways of MATLAB graphical user interface creation, looks over graphical elements, MATLAB visual possibilities are compared with one the most popular programming medium C++Builder. In applied example are presented the discrete-time signal examples and real sound “a” signal, witch is possible not even depict, but also to hear out. This example demonstrates graphical user interface created by MATLAB.Švietimo akademijaVytauto Didžiojo universiteta

Why there could not been Found an Acceptable Compromise, while Implementing Lithuanian Police reform 2017? The object of this bachelor thesis is Lithuanian police reform, which impletentation was completed back in August of 2017. Although the reform itself has been fully implemented for around a year, there is still no consensus on it. So the author of this thesis raised the main question – why there was a need for a reform and how did it impact the Lithuanian police? The answer to this question was sought using P. A. Sabatier Advocacy Coalition Framework. There were found three coalitinios in Lithuanian police reform subsystem – policy implementers and policemen that supports them, trade unions and policemen that supports them, and the Silent zone – policemen that are silent because of various reasons. Thesis author tried to find support or deny these hypotheses: H-I: Significant perturbations external to the subsystem (e.g., changes in socioeconomic conditions, public opinion, system-wide governing coalitions, or policy outputs from
other subsystems) are a necessary, but not sufficient, to cause and to make substantial changes regarding Lithuanian police reform. H-II: about the ambitiousness of public policy: the more ambitious the public policy is, the more likely it will face significant resistance and other difficulties, which might result in less successful public policy implementation. H-III: about the police reform implementation management: if the implementation of a public policy initiative involves the implementation of appropriate management tools, including a well-functioning monitoring system, they increase the likelihood of a successful implementation of the policy through better control of implementation or policy learnin within the coalition. It has been said that this reform caused war within a system, to be precise – between the coalitions in the subsystem. The author do not agree or disagree with this saying but makes a conclusion that in this case, where coalition can not productively work together a good mediator who has indepth knowledge about the Police system could help coalitions to have effective discussions. The other way on how to solve the problems might be including the higher authorities in the following policy making processes. This thesis is the first analytical work regarding the police reform subject and hopefully there will be more

Background: Sufficient vaccination coverage among children depends on parents’ knowledge and attitudes towards immunization and their intention to have their children vaccinated. The objective of the study was to evaluate postpartum mothers’ knowledge and attitudes towards children’s immunization. Methods: It was a cross-sectional survey. The anonymous questionnaire was handed out to postpartum mothers selected at random in the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno Klinikos from March to July of 2014. In total, 300 women were surveyed. Results: The majority (63%) of respondents had higher education. The child was the first one for 49.7% of the mothers. The women indicated that their main sources of information about children’s vaccination were the doctor, the Internet and mass media. Most respondents (87.3%) considered vaccine-preventable diseases to be dangerous but only 57.3% of them knew that vaccines provided efficient protection. Only 57% of the respondents considered vaccines to be safe but 75.3% thought that the benefits of vaccines were greater than the risks. We evaluated the knowledge as good in 36.3%, average in 41.3% and poor in 22.3% of mothers. Most of the respondents (81.3%) planned to immunize their child in the future with all the vaccines included in the national immunization program, however, 72.7% were worried about possible adverse events following vaccination. Of the mothers whose knowledge was evaluated as good, 74.8% had never refused or had doubts about having their child immunized ( = 0.198, p < 0.001). The mothers with better knowledge were also less likely to be concerned ( = 0.211, p < 0.001). Conclusions: Evaluation of postpartum mothers’ knowledge and attitudes towards children’s immunization could be the tool for better communication between health professionals and parents leading to increased vaccination rates

Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is an infectious zoonotic disease that is caused by Echinococcus multilocularis. (e disease is generally identified accidentally because of the long asymptomatic period, has a malignant behaviour, and mainly occurs in the liver. Usually it is diagnosed in adults and is very rare in pediatric patients. We report two cases of AE and 1 differential case between AE and cystic echinococcosis (CE) in children: two of them had lesions in the liver and one had rare extrahepatic presentation of a cyst in the spleen. All our patients received chemotherapy with albendazole because surgical treatment was not recommended. (e children were followed-up from 10 to 30 months and no significant improvement was seen. In this report we discuss the difficulties we faced in the treatment and follow-up of these patients. We also review the main clinical manifestations, general diagnostic methods, and treatment options of AE according to the current literature
