La evolución de los pacientes en situación crítica es claramente dependiente de la rapidez en su diagnóstico y de recibir una estabilización y tratamiento ade-cuado de forma precoz. Por otra parte, también es necesario diagnosticar e in-crementar la monitorización o vigilancia de los pacientes en situación potencial-mente crítica con riesgo de deterioro clínico. En la actualidad, se están dise-ñando diferentes estrategias de colaboración con el apoyo de la tecnología que nos permiten una identificación más rápida de estos casos y establecer puentes entre los diferentes profesionales con el fin de mejorar la atención de estos pa-cientes. [EN] Escape Rooms are cooperative games in which players must find clues, solve puzzles, and perform a variety of tasks within a limited time. The goal is usually to escape or leave a room, place, or environment. When the Escape Rooms have a pedagogical purpose, they are usually called Edu-Escape Rooms and can be related to gamification and Game-Based Learning. The potential for student engagement and motivation is one of the main advantages of Edu-Escape Rooms.S

Mapping Role-Playing Games in Ibero-America: An Educational Review

[EN] Role-playing games (RPGs) have a controversial public image in several countries, including Spain. These fears lack a scientific basis, as role-playing games may be useful in education. Educational trends such as gamification are helping to change this perspective, incorporating elements of RPGs in applications like learning management systems (LMS), e.g., Classcraft. Given the increased research interest in this topic, this paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) report on the state-of-the-art related to RPGs in an Ibero-American education research context. In the study, a comprehensive search is carried out for the most relevant research papers indexed in Latindex, founded through the virtual repository Dialnet for papers between 2010 and 2019 in the field of education. The search chain was ‘role-playing games’, erasing those topics not related. Results show that there are several relevant references, even though they do not seem to have had a great impact. It can be concluded that there is an interest in RPGs in education, especially in Spain, but their potential is still to be developed.S

Le panier de biens et services en tant qu’outil de diagnostic territorial: Le cas de la wilaya d’Ain-Témouchent (Algerie)

The model of the territorial-based basket of goods and services explains how valuing a group of specific quality products from a territory and the services related to them, could contribute to the territorial development. This article starts from this perspective and through the case study of the wilaya of Ain Témouchent in Algeria, it tests the applicability and validity of this model in a rural area on the southern shore of the Mediterranean. From the analysis of the different elements of the model, the specific offer of products and services of the territory, the demand generated by consumption linked to the idea of territory and the combination of public and private goods, we study the advantages and limitations in valuing local resources, as well as the necessary processes to configure a basket of territorial goods.El modelo del cesto de bienes y servicios territoriales explica cómo y en qué condiciones la valorización conjunta de productos de calidad específicos de un territorio y los servicios asociados a ellos pueden contribuir al desarrollo territorial. El presente artículo parte de esta perspectiva y a través del caso de estudio de la wilaya de Ain Témouchent en Argelia prueba la aplicabilidad y validez de este modelo en un espacio rural de la orilla sur del mediterráneo. A partir del análisis de los diferentes elementos del modelo, una oferta específica de productos y servicios del territorio, una demanda vinculada al consumo de territorio y una combinación de bienes públicos y privados, se realiza un diagnóstico territorial que verifica ventajas e inconvenientes en la puesta en valor de los recursos y en los procesos necesarios para construir un cesto de bienes territoriales.Le modèle du panier de biens et des services territorialisés explique comment et dans quelles conditions la mise en valeur en commun des produits de qualité liés à un territoire et des services qui leur sont associés peuvent contribuer au développement territorial. Material Behavior and Fatigue Assessment of Old Steel Bridges of the Spanish Conventional Rail Network

[EN] This work presented salient features of the steel behavior of seven metallic bridges close to, or over, 100 years old, among the Spanish conventional rail network as well as the results of a fatigue life expectancy study. A preliminary study of the properties of the constituent materials obtained from the bridges samples was carried out followed by dynamic fatigue tests under service representative loads. Due to the steelmaking techniques in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, disperse fatigue behavior results were obtained. However, the wide safety margins with which these bridges were designed, as well as the mechanical properties of the steel (relatively good mechanical resistance but with low ductility), seem to guarantee a long fatigue life. This estimate decreases sharply with increasing loads.S

Eficacia de un entrenamiento en Funciones Ejecutivas sobre las Habilidades Matemáticas Básicas y la Conciencia Fonológica en niños de Educación Infantil

El objetivo principal del presente estudio fue llevar a cabo un entrenamiento en Funciones Ejecutivas (FE) para comprobar sus efectos sobre las Habilidades Matemáticas Básicas (HMB) y la Conciencia Fonológica (CF) en niños de Educación Infantil (EI). La investigación se realizó a lo largo de tres fases: una de evaluación previa a la intervención, una segunda fase en la que implementó un entrenamiento en FE, y finalmente una fase de evaluación al finalizar el entrenamiento. Este entrenamiento se aplicó por separado a dos grupos de 6 niños de 6º curso de EI (un grupo TIC y un grupo en lápiz y papel) que recibieron igual tratamiento. Los resultados mostraron mejoras tanto en HMB como en CF en ambos grupos

Risk factors associated with the development of delirium in general ICU patients. A prospective observational study.

Objective We aimed to analyze risk factors related to the development of delirium, aiming for early intervention in patients with greater risk. Material and methods Observational study, including prospectively collected patients treated in a single general ICU. These were classified into two groups, according to whether they developed delirium or not (screening performed using CAM-ICU tool). Demographics and clinical data were analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to quantify existing associations. Results 1462 patients were included. 93 developed delirium (incidence: 6.3%). These were older, scored higher on the Clinical Frailty Scale, on the risk scores on admission (SAPS-3 and SOFA), and had a greater number of organ failures (OF). We observed more incidence of delirium in patients who (a) presented more than two OF (20.4%; OR 4.9; CI95%: 2.9–8.2), and (b) were more than 74 years old albeit having <2 OF (8.6%; OR 2.1; CI95%: 1.3–3.5). Patients who developed delirium had longer ICU and hospital length-of-stays and a higher rate of readmission. Conclusions The highest risk observed for developing delirium clustered in patients who presented more than 2 OF and patients over 74 years old. The detection of patients at high risk for developing delirium could imply a change in management and improved quality of care.post-print382 K

Sistema de información geográfica aplicado a la gestión de minas y cuevas turísticas de la Unión Europea

El objetivo principal de este estudio es el de la realización de un SIG de todas las actividades subterráneas turísticas (minas, cuevas, búnkeres, catacumbas,…) de la Unión Europea (UE) en el año 2012, que tienen una página web y/o correo electrónico operativos, de cara a poder facilitar la gestión de distintos parámetros (seguridad y medio ambiente esencialmente) del conjunto de actividades indicadas. La idea de realizar este trabajo surgió a raíz del proyecto europeo Undersafe financiado por la Unión Europea en el 7th Framework Programme, donde el Departamento de Ingeniería Minera y Recursos Naturales (DEMRN) de la Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC) está colaborando desde el año 2011. Uno de los primeros aspectos en qué participó el equipo de profesores del DEMRN fue en el estudio de mercado de las actividades subterráneas turísticas existentes en la UE. Para ello tuvo que recopilar toda la información que había disponible por Internet, así como toda la información que pudo extraer de las encuestas en línea enviadas a través de la hoja de cálculo Google Docs a 862 actividades subterráneas turísticas europeas. A partir de aquí surgió la idea de crear un SIG vectorial que relacionara la información temática de las distintas actividades con su información geográfica o espacial, favoreciendo la gestión de estas actividades a nivel europeo.
