    Allelopathic features of 13 aromatic plants of Lamiaceae Lindl. family are studied. Dracocephalum moldavica L., Lavandula vera D.C. and Lophanthus anisatus Adans. are showed the highest phytotoxic effect of aqueous extracts of lifetime emissions of aromatic plants relative to Triticum aestivum Linn., which reduced germination rates, respectively, by 15.6; 4.9 and 1.7 times. Extracts of plant material of Nepeta transcaucasica Grossh showed the stimulating effect, while germination of wheat was around 96.3 % versus 86.0 % on control. Hyssopus officinalis L. and Dracocephalum moldavica resulted in inhibition of growth processes in Zea mays L. by 1.8–2.6 times. Stimulating effect on Zea mays seed (2 to 6%) was found in Salvia sclarea L., S. officinalis L. and Elsholzia cristata Willd. Hyssopus officinalis, Monarda didyma L. and Dracocephalum moldavica are showed the highest phytotoxic effect of aqueous extracts of remains of aromatic plants relative to Triticum aestivum, which reduced germination rates, respectively, by 2.6; 2.0 and 1.8 times. Lophanthus anisatus, Dracocephalum moldavica and Lavandula vera resulted in inhibition of growth processes in Zea mays by 1.7; 1.5 and 1.4 times.Вивчено алелопатичні особливості 13 ароматичних рослин родини Lamiaceae Lindl. Установлено, що найвищий фітотоксичний ефект щодо Triticum aestivum Linn. притаманний водним екстрактам прижиттєвих виділень Dracocephalum moldavica L., Lavandula vera D.C., Lophanthus anisatus Adans., які знизили схожість насіння відповідно у 15,6; 4,9 і 1,7 разу. Стимулювальний вплив виявили витяги з рослинної сировини Nepeta transcaucasica Grossh: схожість насіння Triticum aestivum Linn. становила 96,3 % проти 86,0 % у контрольному варіанті. Hyssopus officinalis L. і Dracocephalum moldavica загальмували ростові процеси у Zea mays L. в 1,8–2,6 разу. Стимулювальний ефект щодо насіння Zea mays (від 2 до 6 %) виявлено у Salvia sclarea L., S. officinalis L. та Elsholzia cristata Willd. Найвищий фітотоксичний ефект щодо Triticum aestivum водних екстрактів рослинних решток зафіксовано у Hyssopus officinalis, Monarda didyma L. та Dracocephalum moldavica, які знизили схожість насіння відповідно у 2,6; 2,0 і 1,8 разу.     THE INFLUENCE OF PLANT EXTRACTS ON MICROALGAE IN CULTURE

    Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti alelopatsko djelovanje juglona te ekstrakata listova pitomog oraha (Juglans regia L.) i čivitnjače (Amorpha fruticosa L.) na rast kultura i koncentraciju pigmenata u stanicama jednostanične zelene alge Monoraphidium cf. contortum. Istraživanjem je utvrđen pozitivan alelopatski učinak biljnih ekstrakata na alge te snažno negativno djelovanje juglona. Daljnja istraživanja alelopatskih biljnih spojeva i nove spoznaje o njihovom utjecaju na alge i vodene ekosustave mogli bi omogućiti korištenje alelokemikalija u kontroli štetnog cvjetanja alga i cijanobakterija te poslužiti kao potencijalna strategija u unaprjeđenju masovnog uzgoja alga.This research aimed at assessing the allelopathic influence of juglone and common walnut (Juglans regia L.) and false indigo bush (Amorpha fruticosa L.) leaf extracts on the growth and pigment concentration of unicellular green alga Monoraphidium cf. contortum. Results showed positive allelopathic effect of plant extracts on algae and strong negative effect of juglone. Further investigations on plant allelopathic compounds and their influence on algae and aquatic ecosystems could provide the use of allochemicals to control harmful algal and cyanobacterial blooms and also serve as potential strategy to improve microalgae cultivation

    Cilj rada bio je utvrditi alelopatski utjecaj vodenih ekstrakata od vrste Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. na klijavost i rast korovnih vrsta bezmirisna kamilica (Tripleurospermum inodorum (L.) C.H. Schultz) i oštrodlakavi šćir (Amaranthus retroflexus L.). Pokus je proveden u laboratorijskim uvjetima u Petrijevim zdjelicama, a istraženi su ekstrakti od svježe mase lista u koncentracijama od 2, 4, 6, 8, i 10%. Rezultati su pokazali da vodeni ekstrakti nemaju značajan alelopatski utjecaj na klijavost i rast klijanaca bezmirisne kamilice. Vodeni ekstrakti nisu imali značajan utjecaj na klijavost, duljinu korijena i suhu masu oštrodlakavog šćira, dok su duljina izdanka i svježa masa klijanaca bile stimulirane, posebice pri višim koncentracijama ekstraktaThe aim of the study was to determine the allelopathic effects of water extracts from Aloe vera (L.) The experiment was carried out in laboratory conditions in Petri dishes, and water extracts from fresh leaves were analysed at concentrations of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10%. The results showed that water extracts had no significant allelopathic effect on germination and growth of scentless mayweed seedlings. Water extracts showed no significant effect on germination, root length and dry weight of redroot pigweed, while the shoot length and fresh seedling weight were stimulated, especially at higher concentrations of the extract

    Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi utjecaj vodenih ekstrakata pripremljenih od svježe mase listova vrste Aloe vera (L.) Burm. f. na klijavost i početni rast matovilca i mrkve. U Petrijevim zdjelicama ispitivani su vodeni ekstrakti u koncentracijama od 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% i 10%. Na klijavost sjemena matovilca i mrkve stimulativno su djelovale više koncentracije vodenog ekstrakta te je povećana do 16,2% odnosno 19% u odnosu na kontrolni tretman. Više koncentracije ekstrakata pokazale su inhibitorni utjecaj na rast klijanaca matovilca, dok su niže koncentracije djelovale stimulativno. S druge strane, ekstrakti su djelovali pozitivno na rast i razvoj klijanaca mrkve te stimulirali duljinu korijena i izdanka te svježu i suhu masu klijanaca. U prosjeku, veći alelopatski utjecaj zabilježen je na klijancima mrkve nego na klijancima matovilca.The aim of this research was to determine allelopathic effect of water extracts prepared from fresh leaves of Aloe vera (L.) Burm. f. on germination and growth of lamb's lettuce and carrot. The water extracts in concentrations of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% were evaluated in experiments conducted in Petri dishes. High concentrations of water extract positively affected lamb's lettuce and carrot, increasing the germination up to 16.2% and 19%, respectively, relative to the control treatment. Higher concentrations of water extract negatively affected the seedling growth of lamb's lettuce, while lower concentrations showed positive effect. On the other hand, the water extracts positively affected the seedling growth and evolvement of carrot, stimulating the root and shoot length, fresh and dry weight of seedlings. In average, higher allelopathic effect was observed on seedlings of carrot than lamb's lettuce
