Viscosity Approximations by the Shrinking Projection Method of Quasi-Nonexpansive Mappings for Generalized Equilibrium Problems

    Get PDF
We introduce viscosity approximations by using the shrinking projection method established by Takahashi, Takeuchi, and Kubota, for finding a common element of the set of solutions of the generalized equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a quasi-nonexpansive mapping. Furthermore, we also consider the viscosity shrinking projection method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of the generalized equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of the super hybrid mappings in Hilbert spaces

Nonlinear Analysis and Optimization with Applications

    Get PDF
Nonlinear analysis has wide and significant applications in many areas of mathematics, including functional analysis, variational analysis, nonlinear optimization, convex analysis, nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations, dynamical system theory, mathematical economics, game theory, signal processing, control theory, data mining, and so forth. Optimization problems have been intensively investigated, and various feasible methods in analyzing convergence of algorithms have been developed over the last half century. In this Special Issue, we will focus on the connection between nonlinear analysis and optimization as well as their applications to integrate basic science into the real world

Strong Convergence Theorems for Mixed Equilibrium Problem and Asymptotically I

    Get PDF
This paper aims to use a hybrid algorithm for finding a common element of a fixed point problem for a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and the set solutions of mixed equilibrium problem in uniformly smooth and uniformly convex Banach space. Then, we prove some strong convergence theorems of the proposed hybrid algorithm to a common element of the above two sets under some suitable conditions

The Hybrid Projection Methods for Pseudocontractive, Nonexpansive Semigroup, and Monotone Mapping

    Get PDF
We modify the three-step iterative schemes to prove the strong convergence theorems by using the hybrid projection methods for finding a common element of the set of solutions of fixed points for a pseudocontractive mapping and a nonexpansive semigroup mapping and the set of solutions of a variational inequality problem for a monotone mapping in a Hilbert space under some appropriate control conditions. Our theorems extend and unify most of the results that have been proved for this class of nonlinear mappings
