Outils pour l’identification des paramètres de raideur des robots à l’aide d’un logiciel de CAO
This report proposes a CAD-based approach for identification of the elasto-static parameters of the robotic manipulators. The main contributions are in the areas of virtual experiment planning and algorithmic data processing, which allows to obtain the stiffness matrix with required accuracy. In contrast to previous works, the developed technique operates with the deflection field produced by virtual experiments in a CAD environment. The proposed approach provides high identification accuracy (about 0.1% for the stiffness matrix element) and is able to take into account the real shape of the link, coupling between rotational/translational deflections and joint particularities. To compute the stiffness matrix, the numerical technique has been developed, and some recommendations for optimal settings of the virtual experiments are given. In order to minimize the identification errors, the statistical data processing technique was applied. The advantages of the developed approach have been confirmed by case studies dealing with the links of parallel manipulator of the Orthoglide family, for which the identification errors have been reduced to 0.1%ANR COROUSS
Advanced Strategies for Robot Manipulators
Amongst the robotic systems, robot manipulators have proven themselves to be of increasing importance and are widely adopted to substitute for human in repetitive and/or hazardous tasks. Modern manipulators are designed complicatedly and need to do more precise, crucial and critical tasks. So, the simple traditional control methods cannot be efficient, and advanced control strategies with considering special constraints are needed to establish. In spite of the fact that groundbreaking researches have been carried out in this realm until now, there are still many novel aspects which have to be explored
Design of an Anthropomorphic, Compliant, and Lightweight Dual Arm for Aerial Manipulation
This paper presents an anthropomorphic, compliant and lightweight dual arm manipulator designed and developed for aerial manipulation applications with multi-rotor platforms. Each arm provides four degrees of freedom in a human-like kinematic configuration for end effector positioning: shoulder pitch, roll and yaw, and elbow pitch. The dual arm, weighting 1.3 kg in total, employs smart servo actuators and a customized and carefully designed aluminum frame structure manufactured by laser cut. The proposed
design reduces the manufacturing cost as no computer numerical control machined part is used. Mechanical joint compliance is provided in all the joints, introducing a compact spring-lever transmission mechanism between the servo shaft and the links, integrating a potentiometer for measuring the deflection of the joints.
The servo actuators are partially or fully isolated against impacts and overloads thanks to the ange bearings attached to the frame structure that support the rotation of the links and the deflection of the joints. This simple mechanism increases the robustness of the arms and safety in the physical interactions between the aerial
robot and the environment. The developed manipulator has been validated through different experiments in fixed base test-bench and in outdoor flight tests.Unión Europea H2020-ICT-2014- 644271Ministerio de EconomÃa y Competitividad DPI2015-71524-RMinisterio de EconomÃa y Competitividad DPI2017-89790-

The SwarmItFix Pilot
Abstract The paper presents the integration and experiments with a pilot cell including a traditional machine tool and an innovative robot-swarm cooperative conformable support for aircraft body panels. The pilot was installed and tested in the premises of the aircraft manufacturer Piaggio Aerospace in Italy. An original approach to the support of the panels is realized: robots with soft heads operate from below the panel; they move upward the panel where manufacturing is performed, removing the sagging under gravity and returning it to its nominal geometry; the spindle of amilling machine performs the machining from above
