    Using Cloud Services in a Modern Learning Management System

    LMS (Learning Management Systems) today are being widely used in almost every educational facility. In the last years all conceivable use cases that need to be carried out by such LMS have been defined and the features a modern LMS needs to offer are very clear. Rarely do we find something a teacher or student needs that an LMS cannot offer. So the task for LMS developers shifted from offering all tools a teacher or student needs to make these tools as convenient to use as possible. Our goal in this research work is to describe the web services we use in TeachCenter, an LMS that has been widely used for the past years at Graz University of Technology to simplify the use of certain components. It can be pointed out that cloud services have to be an integral part of a modern LMS

    Сучасний процес інформатизації освіти є основою впровадження інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій в навчальний процес, де надзвичайної актуальності набувають тенденції впровадження хмарних технологій організації доступу до програмного забезпечення, яке має місце в різноманітних видах навчальної діяльності. Стаття присвячена проблемі використання одного з засобів ІКТ, а саме системі управління навчанням з відкритим кодом, розміщеної у «хмарі», Canvas від компанії Instructure, наведені відгуки викладачів навчальних закладів США про систему, висвітлені переваги її використання у навчанні та інструменти, з яких вона складається.The modern process of informatization of education is the basis for the introduction of information and communication technologies (ІCT) in the learning process, where cloud technologies becomes the most popular, which takes place in different types of learning activities. These technologies are actively used to transfer information and to provide teacher-student cooperation in modern systems of open and distance education. One means of ICT is a learning management system (LMS). One of the promising ways of using LMS of higher education is a cloud-oriented organization access to the software. So, in these circumstances, the relevance of this problem has led to the choice of research topic summary: clouds oriented learning management system canvas. Currently in the global information space, there are many LMS with clouses source (Blackboard, Coursera, EdX, Desire2Learn, Udacity), where universities can have access to them only after the conclusion of the relevant agreement on collaboration and with open source (Canvas Instructure, Udemy, Moodle, OpenLearning), where Lecturers are free to post their courses. Therefore, the article is devoted to the learning management system Canvas of the company Instructure with open source placed in the «cloud». LMS consists of the following services: management learning activity; management of learning content; content delivery; navigation control on content; testing and evaluation of educational achievements of students; accounting activities and results of the student; keeping the Profiles of Student and Lecturer. To use the LMS Canvas in professional activities teacher must have a computer connected to the Internet browser, the account in Canvas and skills with the Internet and Web applications. It should also be noted that in the article there are different reviews of the US Lecturers where they convince that this system has a lot of possibilities and t is interactive, comfortable, dynamic and designed for the needs of higher education.     The article deals with the problem for development of techers’ information and communication competence and use of cloud computing for it. The analysis of the modern approaches to the use of cloud technologies and projects for professional development of teachers and development of teachers’ information and communication competence have been presented.There are the main characteristics of software as a service on the Internet for education leading companies Google, Microsoft, IBM. There are described some actions of these companies, which are conducted to help teachers to master cloud technology for improving the professional activities and development of teachers’ information and communication competence. The examples of ways of development of teachers’ information and communication competence and training teachers to use modern ICT in the professional activity are given in the paper. The Cloud based model for development of teachers’ information and communication competence has been proposed.Стаття присвячена проблемі розвитку інформаційно-комунікаційної компетентності вчителів за допомогою використання хмарних обчислень. Здійснюється аналіз сучасних підходів до використання хмарних технологій та проектів для професійного розвитку вчителів та розвитку інформаційно-комунікаційної компетентності вчителів. Пропонуються основні характеристики хмарних обчислень провідних компаній Google, Microsoft, IBM, з точки зори їх необхідності для здійснення навчального процесу в мережі Інтернет. Описуються дії цих компаній та інші навчальні проекти, метою яких є розвиток інформаційно-комунікаційної компетентності вчителів за допомогою хмарних обчислень. Наводяться приклади шляхів рішення проблеми розвитку інформаційно-комунікаційної компетентності вчителів за допомогою використання сучасних інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій.     Efficient data uncertainty management for health industrial internet of things using machine learning

    [EN] In modern technologies, the industrial internet of things (IIoT) has gained rapid growth in the fields of medical, transportation, and engineering. It consists of a self-governing configuration and cooperated with sensors to collect, process, and analyze the processes of a real-time system. In the medical system, healthcare IIoT (HIIoT) provides analytics of a huge amount of data and offers low-cost storage systems with the collaboration of cloud systems for the monitoring of patient information. However, it faces certain connectivity, nodes failure, and rapid data delivery challenges in the development of e-health systems. Therefore, to address such concerns, this paper presents an efficient data uncertainty management model for HIIoT using machine learning (EDM-ML) with declining nodes prone and data irregularity. Its aim is to increase the efficacy for the collection and processing of real-time data along with smart functionality against anonymous nodes. It developed an algorithm for improving the health services against disruption of network status and overheads. Also, the multi-objective function decreases the uncertainty in the management of medical data. Furthermore, it expects the routing decisions using a machine learning-based algorithm and increases the uniformity in health operations by balancing the network resources and trust distribution. Finally, it deals with a security algorithm and established control methods to protect the distributed data in the exposed health industry. Extensive simulations are performed, and their results reveal the significant performance of the proposed model in the context of uncertainty and intelligence than benchmark algorithms.This research is supported by Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics Lab (AIDA) CCIS Prince Sultan University, Riyadh Saudi Arabia.     Research and Development Workstation Environment: the new class of Current Research Information Systems

    Against the backdrop of the development of modern technologies in the field of scientific research the new class of Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) and related intelligent information technologies has arisen. It was called - Research and Development Workstation Environment (RDWE) - the comprehensive problem-oriented information systems for scientific research and development lifecycle support. The given paper describes design and development fundamentals of the RDWE class systems. The RDWE class system's generalized information model is represented in the article as a three-tuple composite web service that include: a set of atomic web services, each of them can be designed and developed as a microservice or a desktop application, that allows them to be used as an independent software separately; a set of functions, the functional filling-up of the Research and Development Workstation Environment; a subset of atomic web services that are required to implement function of composite web service. In accordance with the fundamental information model of the RDWE class the system for supporting research in the field of ontology engineering - the automated building of applied ontology in an arbitrary domain area, scientific and technical creativity - the automated preparation of application documents for patenting inventions in Ukraine was developed. It was called - Personal Research Information System. A distinctive feature of such systems is the possibility of their problematic orientation to various types of scientific activities by combining on a variety of functional services and adding new ones within the cloud integrated environment.
