Online services are characterized by a separation between service initiation, execution and consumption. This separation presents a problem for retaining users because users with high intention to continue online service use are not necessarily committed to the provider of that service. We use a cognitive social capital explanation to unify two literature streams of use continuance and service commitment. We apply our research model to 245 cloud storage users. We find a significant relationship between mutual understanding, use continuance and relationship commitment. Implications for online service providers are offered

Purpose: The research proceeded to investigate the factors affecting net benefit of google drive adoption decision among Thais living in Bangkok, Thailand. Design/Methodology/Approach: The data were collected from 412 respondents through convenient sampling technique by online questionnaire. Information quality, system quality, service quality, user satisfaction, intention to use and net benefit, validity and reliability of each variables were examined by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM). Findings: The results showed that user satisfaction has the most direct effect on net benefit. Moreover, information quality, system quality and service quality were indirectly affected on net benefit of google drive. Therefore, google drive serve quality system that matches with customer satisfaction and expectation to improve job efficiency. Practical Implications: Although previous studies have identified on the use of google drive in collaborative business operations. However, the factors behind the use of google drive cloud system and the decisions behind the adaptation would provide useful insights for better understanding of the mechanism. Originality/Value: This research provides advanced recommendations to those who concern on the use of efficient google drive features not only to develop its features, but also to strengthen the smooth and flexible work patterns in organizations.peer-reviewe

This article aimed to investigate the critical factors impacting postgraduate students’ satisfaction and continuance intention to use e-learning in the Beijing Film Academy, Beijing, China. The main theories were Information Systems Success Model (ISSM), Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT), and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The conceptual framework contains perceived usefulness, confirmation, satisfaction, system quality, information quality, service quality, and continuance intention. The sample size is 483 participants who completed online questionnaire. The study employed three sampling techniques: purposive sampling, quota sampling, and convenience sampling. To ensure content validity, the index of item-objective congruence (IOC) was utilized, along with a pilot test involving a sample of 50 participants, and the reliability of the measurements was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Additionally, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) were employed to analyze the data and generate the findings. The results showed that confirmation has a significant impact on perceived usefulness. Perceived usefulness, confirmation, system quality, information quality, and service quality significantly impact satisfaction. Perceived usefulness and satisfaction significantly impact continuance intention. In conclusion, educators and e-learning system developers should exploit the benefits of online learning in order to increase students’ learning efficiency

Martins, R., Oliveira, T., Thomas, M., & Tomás, S. (2019). Firms’ continuance intention on SaaS use: an empirical study. Information Technology and People, 32(1), 189-216. https://doi.org/10.1108/ITP-01-2018-0027Purpose: Although studies have investigated reasons for software as a service (SaaS) adoption, it is unclear how firm-level SaaS use impacts future SaaS intentions. The purpose of this paper is to propose a theoretical model that integrates the technology-organization-environment framework, institutional theory, diffusion-of-innovation theory and the opportunity-risk framework to analyze the drivers of SaaS use and its continuance intention. Design/methodology/approach: The authors evaluated the direct, moderating and mediating effects of determinants on SaaS continuance intentions using structural equation modeling and data from 301 firms. Findings: Results found that top management support and normative pressures influenced SaaS use. Cost saving and security concerns were direct predictors of perceived opportunities and perceived risks, respectively. Perceived opportunities and risks and actual SaaS use influenced SaaS continuance. Interestingly, perceived opportunities were found to be a negative moderator on the relationship between SaaS use and SaaS continuance. Originality/value: The results reveal insightful and controversial findings for SaaS research.authorsversionpublishe

Purpose: This study examines what factors affect the satisfaction and continuance intention of college students majoring in English translation and interpreting on cloud-based e-learning. The conceptual framework consists of task-technology fit, learning-technology fit, interactivity, course content quality, course design quality, organizational support, perceived usefulness, satisfaction and continuance intention. Research design, data, and methodology: A quantitative research method was used to distribute questionnaires to three Ningxia universities and perform data analysis. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were applied to analyze the collected results and examine the pre-designed hypotheses' model fit, reliability, and validity. Results: It was found that satisfaction was the strongest predictor of continuance intention, followed by perceived usefulness. In addition to learning-technology fit as an antecedent, task-technology fit, interactivity, course content quality, course design quality, and organizational support showed significant and positive effects on satisfaction and perceived usefulness. Conclusion: Achieving and improving the satisfaction of students to use cloud-based e-learning is the priority for developers, administrators, and teachers. For organizations, adequate support for users and cloud-based e-learning is beneficial to enhance users' perceived usefulness. For developers, updating and ensuring a high degree of technical alignment of the system with the user's mission is an effective approach

KEY FACTORS INCREASING THE TRUST AND INTENTION TO ADOPT STANDARD CLOUD-BASED APPLICATIONS

    Get PDF
A generic standard cloud-based application such as Google Docs are generally among the first to be considered for adoption by end-users. Thus, it is worthy to examine what factors influence trust and the intention of continuing use for such a cloud-based application. Unlike traditional, on-premise applications, familiarity is not an issue for trusting generic, simple cloud-based applications. Moreover, perceived risk is low enough that it has negative, as opposed to the usual positive, impact on trust and the intention of continuing use. The results of this study also imply that the agile adoption of standard cloud-based applications needs to consider factors, including perceived privacy control, system quality, and user satisfaction because these factors can increase the trust of users. Theoretical and practical implications were drawn from the findings of this study
