Covert Channels in SIP for VoIP signalling

In this paper, we evaluate available steganographic techniques for SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) that can be used for creating covert channels during signaling phase of VoIP (Voice over IP) call. Apart from characterizing existing steganographic methods we provide new insights by introducing new techniques. We also estimate amount of data that can be transferred in signalling messages for typical IP telephony call.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure

This master thesis describes a conception of standard and advanced eye examination methods used for glaucoma diagnosis in its early stage. According to the theoretical knowledge, a web based information system for ophthalmologists with three main aims is implemented. The first aim is the possibility to share medical data of a concrete patient without sending his personal data through the Internet. The second aim is to create a patient account based on a complete eye examination procedure. The last aim is to improve the HRT diagnostic method with an image registration algorithm for the fundus and intensity images and create an optic nerve head web based 3D visualization. This master thesis is a part of project based on DAAD co-operation between Department of Biomedical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, Eye Clinic in Erlangen and Department of Computer Science, Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen-Nurnberg.

Specification and Implementation of a Light-Weight Internet Content Delivery Platform

The World Wide Web is the largest and most popular hypertext information system in the world. It is used by billions of people primarily to share information between themselves. As more and more features are added to it, modern Web has become a powerful general-purpose application platform. The cost of that complexity is the content itself being obscured behind all the layout, presentation and interaction. This thesis specifies a simple protocol and document format intended to solve the problem of exceeding complexity of using the Web to access content sources without using complicated monolithic applications that require powerful hardware to run. This provides an alternative to the current Web technologies for browsing pages focused on the content itself, while being significantly simpler to implement and use. By using the new technologies, accessing content sources becomes simple, while the current Web remains useful as an application platform. Foremost, this simplifies creation of new browser engines that are easier to implement and need less processing resources to run. At the same time, it enables programmatic access to content that used to be accessible only to human readers

    Security Analysis of HTTP/2 Protocol

abstract: The Internet traffic, today, comprises majorly of Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The first version of HTTP protocol was standardized in 1991, followed by a major upgrade in May 2015. HTTP/2 is the next generation of HTTP protocol that promises to resolve short-comings of HTTP 1.1 and provide features to greatly improve upon its performance. There has been a 1000\% increase in the cyber crimes rate over the past two years. Since HTTP/2 is a relatively new protocol with a very high acceptance rate (around 68\% of all HTTPS traffic), it gives rise to an urgent need of analyzing this protocol from a security vulnerability perspective. In this thesis, I have systematically analyzed the security concerns in HTTP/2 protocol - starting from the specifications, testing all variation of frames (basic entity in HTTP/2 protocol) and every new introduced feature. In this thesis, I also propose the Context Aware fuzz Testing for Binary communication protocols methodology. Using this testing methodology, I was able to discover a serious security susceptibility using which an attacker can carry out a denial-of-service attack on ApacheDissertation/ThesisMasters Thesis Computer Science 201
