The framework for inspecting education in non-association independent schools

"The framework for inspecting education in independent schools in England under section 162A of the Education Act 2002, as amended by schedule 8 of the Education Act 2005. This framework incorporates the inspection of provision for pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage, taking account of the Statutory Framework and Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage and, where there is registered provision for the care of children from birth to age three, under Section 49(2) of the Childcare Act 2006. It also incorporates the inspection of provision for pupils in independent boarding schools, residential special schools and children’s homes which are registered to provide education, under the Care Standards Act 2000" -- front cover
