The aim of the work to study methods of improving the topology of cognitive radio networks using a genetic algorithm.
The paper deals with the issues related to the advantages of using wireless technologies in the modern world, provides a General description of cognitive radio systems, the principles of design of cognitive radio systems.
The results of the study are the conclusions about the use of genetic algorithms in cognitive radio systems. It is shown that the greater the radius of the cognitive radio system with a constant number of users, the greater the number of iterations necessary to optimize the cognitive radio system by the criterion of "minimum energy". However, the accuracy of the performed experiments is high everywhere, which suggests that the genetic algorithm can be used as an algorithm to improve the topology of cognitive radio networks
