The Impact of Trust on Acceptance of Online Banking
Major benefits of Online Banking include for banks cost savings, and for customers convenience. Nevertheless, many people perceive Internet banking as risky. This paper introduces a tentative conceptual framework. Trust will be integrated into the Technology Acceptance Model â TAM - (Davis, 1989). Recent research showed that Trust has a striking influence on user willingness to engage in online exchanges of money and personal sensitive information. Detailed literature about Online Banking and Trust is provided. TAM is discussed in depth; external variables that are suitable for the Online Banking context is suggested. In addition the theoretical justification for the conceptual framework integration is discussed. Finally managerial implications and recommendations for Online Banking acceptance are suggested

Security is becoming an increasingly more important concern both at the desktop level and at the network level. This article discusses several approaches to authenticating individuals through the use of biometric devices. While libraries might not implement such devices, they may appear in the near future of desktop computing, particularly for access to institutional computers or for access to sensitive information. Other approaches to computer security focus on protecting the contents of electronic transmissions and verification of individual users. After a brief overview of encryption technologies, the article examines public-key cryptography which is getting a lot of attention in the business world in what is called public key infrastructure. It also examines other efforts, such as IBMâs Cryptolope, the Secure Sockets Layer of Web browsers, and Digital Certificates and Signatures. Secure electronic transmissions are an important condition for conducting business on the Net. These business transactions are not limited to purchase orders, invoices, and contracts. This could become an important tool for information vendors and publishers to control access to the electronic resources they license. As license negotiators and contract administrators, librarians need to be aware of what is happening in these new technologies and the impact that will have on their operations
Effect of Trust and Ease Of Popularity of Interest Transaction System to Improve Online Website PT KAI (A Study on Passenger Train in Semarang Tawang Station)
The purpose of this research is to Investigate the Effects of Trust, Easy of System,
Popularity System and the effect the popularity of the system on an on-line transaction. The
study was conducted at passengers KAI Semarang Tawang Station, the sample size is about
125 passengers. The data is processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)
roomates assisted by the application program of Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS)
version 18.0.
According to the analysis, it is concluded as the followings: easy of system has a
positive effect on the popularity of the system; trust has a positive effect on the popularity of
the system; popularity of the system has a positive effect on the on-line transaction; easy of
sytem has a positive effect on the on-line transaction; trust has a not effect on the on-line
transaction
Internet banking acceptance model: Cross-market examination
This article proposes a revised technology acceptance model to measure consumersâ
acceptance of Internet banking, the Internet Banking Acceptance Model (IBAM). Data
was collected from 618 university students in the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. The
results suggest the importance of attitude, such that attitude and behavioral intentions
emerge as a single factor, denoted as âattitudinal intentionsâ (AI). Structural equation
modeling confirms the fit of the model, in which perceived usefulness and trust fully
mediate the impact of subjective norms and perceived manageability on AI. The
invariance analysis demonstrates the psychometric equivalence of the IBAM
measurements between the two country groups. At the structural level, the influence of
trust and system usefulness on AI vary between the two countries, emphasizing the
potential role of cultures in IS adoption. The IBAM is robust and parsimonious,
explaining over 80% of AI
Value-Oriented Design of Service Coordination Processes: Correctness and Trust
The rapid growth of service coordination languages creates a need for methodological support for coordination design. Coordination design differs from workflow design because a coordination process connects different businesses that can each make design decisions independently from the others, and no business is interested in supporting the business processes of others. In multi-business cooperative design, design decisions are only supported by all businesses if they contribute to the profitability of each participating business. So in order to make coordination design decisions supported by all participating businesses, requirements for a coordination process should be derived from the business model that makes the coordination profitable for each participating business. We claim that this business model is essentially a model of intended value exchanges. We model the intended value exchanges of a business model as e3 -value value models and coordination processes as UML activity diagrams. The contribution of the paper is then to propose and discuss a criterion according to which a service coordination process must be correct with respect to a value exchange model. This correctness is necessary to gain business support for the process. Finally, we discuss methodological consequences of this approach for service coordination process design
Interorganizational Networks : the Issue of Global Sovereignty
One of the most striking phenomena of the past decade has been the internationalisation of service firms (Tersen and Bricout, 1996). Previously considered âun-exportableâ (Segal-Horn, 1993), they have proven day after day that they have the necessary characteristics to undertake an international development, and even a globalization of their offering systems (Vandermerwe, 1989 ; Campbell and Verbeke, 1994 ; Gadrey, 1994 ;). Retail banking and financial services are remarkable illustrations of this phenomenon (Michalet, 1985 ; Andreff, 1995). And bank cards in the first place. However, management scholars have been slow in reacting to this challenge. Focused on industry (and surprisingly enough on the automotive industry), the scholars have rather neglected the emerging field of international service firms. This Research gap has motivated our project on the international deployment of services. The field study we have selected is relative to the bank card organizations. This industry illustrates the functioning of service firms as political institutions. A striking example relates to the emergence and development of international standards bodies, specifically in the area of Internet payments. We are faced here with the construction of a transnational regulation. This paper brings twofold a contribution. On one hand, it enriches the interpretation of a very important, peculiar and potentially generic research object, through the lenses of the translation theory. On the other hand, it has key managerial implications regarding « political » strategies with regard to positioning as a regulatory institution. Discussion follows on the consequences of these agencies' activities for business enterprises.
Recommender Systems
The ongoing rapid expansion of the Internet greatly increases the necessity
of effective recommender systems for filtering the abundant information.
Extensive research for recommender systems is conducted by a broad range of
communities including social and computer scientists, physicists, and
interdisciplinary researchers. Despite substantial theoretical and practical
achievements, unification and comparison of different approaches are lacking,
which impedes further advances. In this article, we review recent developments
in recommender systems and discuss the major challenges. We compare and
evaluate available algorithms and examine their roles in the future
developments. In addition to algorithms, physical aspects are described to
illustrate macroscopic behavior of recommender systems. Potential impacts and
future directions are discussed. We emphasize that recommendation has a great
scientific depth and combines diverse research fields which makes it of
