    Three-dimensional ISAR imaging: a review

    Three-dimensional (3D) inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging has been proven feasible by combining traditional ISAR imaging and interferometry. Such technique, namely inteferometric ISAR (In-ISAR), allows for the main target scattering centres to be mapped into a 3D spatial domain as point clouds. Specifically, the use of an In-ISAR system can overcome the main geometrical interpretation issues imposed by the monostatic acquisition geometry as the problem of cross-range scaling and unknown image projection plane (IPP). However, some issues remain such as scatterer scintillation, shadowing effects, poor SNR etc., which limit the effectiveness of 3D imaging. A solution to such unsolved issues can be found in the use of multiple 3D views, which can be obtained exploiting either multi-temporal or multi-perspective configurations or a combination of both. This study aims to review the main concepts to produce multi-view 3D ISAR images by using In-ISAR systems also presenting real data collected with a multi-static In-ISAR system

    A Farey Tail for Attractor Black Holes

    The microstates of 4d BPS black holes in IIA string theory compactified on a Calabi-Yau manifold are counted by a (generalized) elliptic genus of a (0,4) conformal field theory. By exploiting a spectral flow that relates states with different charges, and using the Rademacher formula, we find that the elliptic genus has an exact asymptotic expansion in terms of semi-classical saddle-points of the dual supergravity theory. This generalizes the known "Black Hole Farey Tail" of [1] to the case of attractor black holes.Comment: 36 pages, 3 figures, note adde

    This essay focuses on the fields of architectural documentation and digital representation. We present a research paper concerning the development of an information system at the scale of architecture, taking into account the relationships that can be established between the representation of buildings (shape, dimension, state of conservation, hypothetical restitution) and heterogeneous information about various fields (such as the technical, the documentary or still the historical one). The proposed approach aims to organize multiple representations (and associated information) around a semantic description model with the goal of defining a system for the multi-field analysis of buildings
