Relevant data include high-resolution visible and SAR imagery, infrared, passive-microwave and scatterometer measurements, and surface topography information from laser and radar altimeters

    The Use of Translation Tool in Efl Learning: Do Machine Translation Give Positive Impact in Language Learning?

    Translation tools are commonly used for translating a text written in one language (source language) into another language (target language). They are used to help translators in translating big numbers of translation works in effective time. There are three types of translation tools being studied in the article entitled Machine Translation Tools: Tools of the Translator's Trade written by Peter Katsberg published in 2012. They are Fully Automated Machine Translation (or FAMT), Human Aided Machine Translation (or HAMT) and Machine Aided Human Translation (or MAHT). Katsberg analyzed how each translation tool works, the naturality and approriateness of its translation and the compatibility of using it. In this digital era, translation tools are not only popular among translators but also among EFL learners. Beginning with the use of portable dictionary such as Alfalink and expanding to the more sopisticated translation tool such as Google Translate. Some novice learners usually use this translation tools in doing their task without recorrecting the translation result. This happens perhaps because they do not have enough background knowledge to evaluate the translation result. Thus, it will be better when the learners have good mastery in basic English and train them to be aware in evaluating the result from translation tools. On the other words, Human Aided Machine Translation may be the wise choice to do translation task effectively and efficiently particularly in managing the time

    We substantiated the need for searching for, and realization of, fundamentally new approaches, using more efficient physical, heat-mass-exchanging and aerodynamic processes, which will make it possible to improve energy effectiveness and ecological cleanliness of heat generation in the systems for individual and decentralized heat supply.For the heat supply to large cities and industrial regions, we examined the advantages of using highly efficient contact heat-generators of different types, which include compactness due to low metal consumption and, as a result, attractive price.It is proposed to use a heat-generator of contact type of the new generation, with the aid of which it was possible to solve a set of problems on the qualitative combustion of fuel and effective heat exchange of gases with the heated water. The use of tubular technology for the combustion of gas is its special feature. Due to it, quality heat exchanging characteristics are provided.In view of further studies, we presented the relevance of creating heat-generators with the use of highly effective hydrogen technologies, which will make it possible to devise the new energy paradigm of heat supply for residential areas and industrial zones through the possibility of accumulation of electrical energy and accumulation of hydrogen

    . This research was conducted in Level B kindergarten students at TK Kristen Immanuel I Pontianak which is located at JL. Gajah Mada No. 250, Pontianak, Kalimantan Barattoprove that the use of story book “Pee Wee at the Farm” is an effective way to introduce English.In collecting the data, the researcher used qualitative and quantitative assessment by using interview and observation sheet as the qualitative assessment, and oral test as the quantitative assessment where the students were asked some questions and repeated them.In the result it can be found that introducing English to kindergarten students using story book “Pee Wee at the Farm” was an effective way to attract and motivate the students' interest in English.It was shown that all of the 20 students got the extraordinary score, means that the students were able to repeat and understand more than 7 simple sentences taught based on the story book. There were 18 students got the perfect score, means that the students were able to repeat and understand all 10 simple English sentences. There was only one student that was able to repeat and understand 7 sentences and only one student that was able for 8 sentences

    A Study on the Use of Fecal Characteristics for Feed Digestibility Determination in Goat

    This study aimed to explore physical characteristics and its correlation to feed digestibility in goat.Sixteen Ettawah Grade goats in the second milk production periods and in the 4-5th month of lactationwere used in this study. The study was arranged with completely randomized block block design basedon milk production as replications. The goats were fed ration containing 16% of crude protein and 65%of total digestible nutrients (TDN). Some of crude protein content were supplied by urea. The treatmentswere control ration (without urea; T0), ration with 0.4% urea (T1), ration with 0.8% urea (T2), andration with 1.2% urea (T3). Parameters observed were feed digestibility, fecal extended level (FEL), andfecal rough particle distribution (FRPD). Data were analyzed using correlation-regression to find thecorrelation between fecal characteristics and feed digestibility. The results showed that urea content inthe rations up to 1.2% of dry matter did not affect dry mater digestibility, water content and fecalcharacteristics (FEL and FRPD). There were highly negative correlation (r= -0.665) between feeddigestibility and water content of feces as well as feed digestibility and FEL (r= -0.553), whilecorrelation between digestibility and FRDP was positive (r=0.608). The conclusion of this study waswater content, degree of FEL and FRPD can be used to determine the quality of feed. If feces composedof finer texture, dried and small particles indicated having better digestibility, while if feces composed ofrough texture, wet, and large particles indicated having low digestibility

    This study was aimed at investigating the effect of the portfolio in Physics teaching on scientific attitude by controlling prior knowledge. This study was conducted at public senior high schools in Singaraja by using the experimental method with single factor independent group design with the use of covariable. This study involved 152 Class X MIPA students of senior high schools as a sample selected by multistage random sampling technique. Portfolio assessment was made by integrating it with Physics teaching. The implementation of portfolio assessment involved 4 basic elements: the presence of the student\u27s work folder, clear assessment criteria, self-assessment, and teacher and student conference. The data that were needed in this study were students\u27 scientific attitude as the independent variable and prior knowledge as covariate variable

    The use of various strength-power tests as predictors of sprint running performance

    Aim: The aim of the present study was to assess the relationship between various strength-power tests and maximal running velocity parameters. Methods: Nine trained males were tested on four separate occasions. On the first occasion the maximum running velocity (MRV), stride rate (SR) and stride length (SL) were measured over 35 m. On the second occasion maximal vertical jumps (squat jump [SJ], standing broad jump [SBJ], counter movement jump [CMJ] and drop jumps [DJ] from heights of 30, 50 and 80 cm) were performed on a force platform. On the third occasion the maximal bilateral isometric force (MBIF) of leg extensors and the force time characteristics (f-t 10-30%, f-t 10-60% and f-t 10-90%) were determined using a leg extension machine connected to a force plate. On the final fourth occasion peak anaerobic power was measured via repeated 6 sec maximum cycle sprints. Pearson product-moment correlation coefficients were calculated for all the aformentioned parameters. Results: The correlation coefficients showed that MRV correlated significantly with f-t 10-60% and DJ 30 (r=-0.73 and r=0.73, P<0.05 respectively). In addition, SR and SL showed significant relationships with f-t 10-60% (r=-0.82, P<0.01 and r=0.75, P<0.05 respectively). Conclusion: The present findings suggest that the ability to produce force quickly, as measured by the time to achieve 60% of maximum voluntary contraction is related to sprinting performance, with the coefficient of determination accounting for 53% of the variance in the data. These data also show that sprinting ability is linked with DJ performance, especially the drop jump from a height of 30 cm. It is suggested that the above tests may prove useful in preparing and testing the sprinting ability and sprint specific strength levels
