In recent years, in order to thoroughly implement the “National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Plan,” the construction of art colleges has emphasized the characteristics of disciplines and industries. “Integration of Art and Technology” is not only a contemporary design principle but also the direction and essence of modern design talent cultivation. As the demand for talent in the country continues to rise, versatile talents are currently in short supply. This paper explores the research and practice of talent cultivation in the field of environmental design based on the characteristic of “integration of art and engineering,” using the environmental design major at Qingdao Yellow Sea College as an example. With the rapid development of society and continuous technological progress, the traditional single-discipline training model can no longer meet the complex and changing design requirements. Therefore, this study integrates the fields of art and engineering, constructing a new talent cultivation model aimed at nurturing individuals with both artistic creativity and engineering technical capabilities

The current economic climate has contributed to an increasingly competitive environment among organizations. In order to ensure competitive advantage, they must be able to promote high levels of professional performance. This research is part of this theme and aims to analyze how the job characteristics, professional knowledge, skills, competencies, training and work engagement influence the job evaluation and, consequently, the performance of employees of six public hospitals, China. The sample consists of 546 subjects aged between 21 and 58 years (M = 37.9; SD = 8.73), with the majority being females (55.5%). For the collection of data, such scales were used as the Job Diagnostic Survey (JDS), the Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Personal Characteristics Scale (KSAOS), the Competencies and Training Scale (CTS) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES). The results obtained show that the job characteristics, the professional knowledge, the skills, the training and the work engagement influence the job evaluation. It was also found that the male respondents, those belonging to the older age group, those with higher academic qualifications and those with higher positions present higher average performance in all dimensions under study. It was also possible to verify that Autonomy is the JDS variable with greater effect on the Job evaluation and the bigger the Autonomy, Skill variety and Feedback given to the employees, the more positive their perception of Job evaluation. Data analysis also reveals that KSAO moderate the relations between job characteristics and job evaluation and the dimension with the most effect on Job evaluation is Professional Ethics and Health Law. On the other hand, the higher the competencies and professional training in the area of Organization and finance, the greater the Job evaluation. Finally, it was verified that Vigor is the only variable with significant effect on Job evaluation. It is hoped that these results may inspire further research that contributes to a better understanding of these relationships; and at the practical level, it is intended to alert the justified investment by the organizations in the implementation of a performance evaluation model. Taking into account the current competitiveness at the organizational level, it is considered that the analysis of the relationships between these dimensions is crucial to an organization. In this way, this project is intended to build a new process of performance evaluation in public hospitals in China, based on the competencies identified for each job.

    Get PDF
As the key technology for 5G applications in the future, the Internet of Things (IoT) is developing rapidly, and the demand for the cultivation of engineering talents in the IoT is also expanding. The rise of maker education has brought new teaching inspiration for cultivating innovative technical talents in the IoT. In the IoT maker course, teaching problems include the lack of adequate teaching models, emphasis on products but less emphasis on theory, and letting students imitate practice. Focusing on these problems, this paper proposes a new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) teaching model called Propose, Guide, Design, Comment, Implement, Display and Evaluate (PGDCIDE) for the IoT maker course. The PGDCIDE teaching model is based on STEM teaching and Kolodner's design-based scientific inquiry learning cycle model, and realizes the combination of "theory, practice, and innovation." Finally, this paper designs the IoT maker course to practice the PGDCIDE model. The practical results indicate that students significantly improved their emotional level, knowledge level, and innovation level after studying the course. Therefore, the PGDCIDE teaching model proposed in this paper can improve the effectiveness of the IoT maker course teaching and is conducive to the cultivation of students' sustainable ability in engineering education. It has reference significance for the application of maker courses in engineering education practice

In recent years, China has achieved rapid economic and social development. To keep up with the economic growth, China adopted two-child policy and started to reform the medical system. Against such backdrop, there is a huge increase in the demand for women and children's health services. However, the overall service capacity of the maternal and child care service centers in China cannot satisfy the growing demand. Therefore, it is necessary to update development strategies so as to achieve a sustainable and healthy development. Based on the resource-based view, this thesis studies the core competitiveness of the hospitals. First, we conducted three rounds of Delphi consultation with 32 hospital managers and research experts in public health from eight different institutions to finalize the evaluation index for the core competitiveness specially developed for Chinese maternal and child care service centers. In order to validate the evaluation index, we have proceeded with correlation analysis of core competitiveness with five other maternal and child care service centers of same level in China. An in-depth the case study of Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital. and through SWOT analysis, we have proposed strategies for improving the core competitiveness of Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital to adapt to new situations. Last but not least, through analysis of the key influencing factors of the hospital’s development in the past decade, we have proved the importance of improving the core competitiveness so as to adapt to changes of the environment. This study found that VRIO resources and capabilities, dynamic capabilities and unique hospital culture are the three key factors to ensure excellent performances for Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital. To be more specific, hospitals should adopt specialization strategies, develop a talent team, improve management and service abilities, develop cooperative medical service system, improve abilities to treat critical and difficult diseases and establish a culture that encourages innovation and people-oriented.
