Purpose. In the mining blasting operation, fragmentation is the most important output. Fly rock, ground vibration, air blast, and environmental effects are detrimental effects of blasting operations. Identifying and ranking the risk of blasting operations is considered as the most important stage in project management. Methods. In this research, the problem of identifying and ranking the factors constituting the risk in blasting operations is considered with the methodology of the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP). Criteria and sub-criteria have been determined based on historical research studies, field studies, and expert opinions for designing a hierarchical process. Findings. Based on FAHP scores, non-control of the sub-criterion of health and safety (C3), blast operation results (C18) and knowledge, and skill and staffing (C2) with a score of 0.377, 0.334, and 0.294 respectively are the most effective sub-criterion for the creation of blasting operations risk. According to the score, the sub-criterion C18 is the most effective sub-criterion in providing the blasting operations risk. Effects and results of blasting operations (D8), with a score of 0.334 as the most effective criterion, and natural hazards (D10), with a score of 0.015, were the last priorities in the factors causing blasting operations risk. Originality. Regarding the risk rating of blasting operations, the control of the sub-criteria C3, C18, and C2, and the D8 criterion, is of particular importance in reducing the risk of blasting operations and improving project management. Practical implications. The evaluation of human resource performance and increase in the level of knowledge and skills and occupational safety and control of all outputs of blasting operations is necessary. Therefore, selecting the most important project risks and taking actions to remove them is essential for risk management.Мета. Uncertain assessments challenge the aggregation of expert knowledge in the field of decision-making. Valuable, yet sometimes hesitant, insight of expert decision makers needs to be converted into numerically comparative form in the age of information management. . Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) enables the comparison of decision elements through expert judgements, even when the information at hand is uncertain. The present study explores Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) implementation in government projects in a systematic literature review. Theoretical framework for Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Fuzzy Set Theory (FST) and their combination, namely Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is provided. The systematic literature review categorizes research results under three categories and examines each paper by utilizing review questions. Three main application purposes rise from the literature review; policy planning and assessment, project selection and project and performance evaluation. Overall implementation processes of the three application areas are discussed. The conclusion provides comprehensive evaluation of the approach and considerations for practitioners.Asiantuntijanäkemysten epävarmuus vaikeuttaa tiedon keräämistä päätöksenteossa. Päätöksentekoprosessin kannalta arvokkaat, vaikkakin joskus epävarmat, asiantuntijanäkemykset tulee voida muuttaa numerollisesti vertailtavaan muotoon tietojohtamisen aikakautena. Sumea Analyyttinen Hierarkiaprosessi mahdollistaa päätöksenteossa käytettävien elementtien vertailun asiantuntija-arviointien avulla, jopa silloin kun käytettävissä oleva tieto on epävarmaa. Opinnäytetyössä tutkitaan systemaattisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen keinoin Sumean Analyyttisen Hierarkiaprosessin, eng. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), implementointia julkishallinnon hankkeissa. Tutkimus sisältää teoreettisen viitekehyksen Analyyttisen Hierarkiaprosessin, Sumean joukko-opin, eng. Fuzzy Set Theory (FST) ja niiden yhdistelmän, Sumean Analyyttisen Hierarkiaprosessin, eng. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), ymmärtämisen tueksi.

With increasingly mature global supply chain network with ports as the core, competition among ports has gradually turned to the ability and efficiency of resource integration. However, there is a lack of relevant studies on how to scientifically evaluate the resource integration performance of port enterprises. To comprehensively evaluate the actual effect of port enterprises in process of resource integration, a performance evaluation system of port enterprises resource integration covering 19 secondary indicators from the four dimensions of financial integration, operational efficiency, technological innovation, and realized benefit was built, fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was used to determine weights of various indicators and port enterprises in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Shandong and Guangdong provinces of China were taken as samples, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) was used to evaluate its resource integration performance. Results show that technological innovation is the primary performance indicator, followed by financial integration indicators, and the impact of realization efficiency and operational efficiency indicators is relatively weak. Resource integration performances of port enterprises in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Shandong, and Guangdong are generally good. Evaluation results of sample ports reflect the actual integration of ports, and the model can effectively evaluate the performance of port enterprise resource integration. Conclusions obtained from this study provide theoretical support for the scientific performance evaluation of port enterprise resource integration

    Get PDF
Importance of urban mobility system is increasing from year to year. This is the reason why decision making process is increasingly complex requiring taking into account more and more different criteria. One of the important and commonly used techniques that support decision making processes is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) while for the purpose of supporting a more realistic way of decision making, fuzzy logic is used. The paper examines the use of fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) in the urban mobility system. With the use of systematic literature review (SLR) it categorises peer reviewed journals’ articles related to the applications of FAHP in urban mobility system and extracted from Scopus and Web of science database, and analyses them methodologically. Papers were classified based on basic attributes of research papers, features of urban mobility system (UMS) where the FAHP was used, and use characteristics of the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP). The results of this study indicated that the use of FAHP in urban mobility system is increasing with the first published paper in 2009. Our review has found that FAHP is used for very different purposes such as evaluation of customer expectations or citing a selection problem. Most often it is used in combination with other methods. Interestingly, there is only one paper that uses FAHP for decision making in the whole urban mobility system

Choosing Wearable Internet of Things Devices for Managing Safety in Construction Using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process as a Decision Support System

    Get PDF
Many safety and health risks are faced daily by workers in the field of construction. There is unpredictability and risk embedded in the job and work environment. When compared with other industries, the construction industry has one of the highest numbers of worker injuries, illnesses, fatalities, and near-misses. To eliminate these risky events and make worker performance more predictable, new safety technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Wearable Sensing Devices (WSD) have been highlighted as effective safety systems. Some of these Wearable Internet of Things (WIoT) and sensory devices are already being used in other industries to observe and collect crucial data for worker safety in the field. However, due to limited information and implementation of these devices in the construction field, Wearable Sensing Devices (WSD) and Internet of Things (IoT) are still relatively underdeveloped and lacking. The main goal of the research is to develop a conceptual decision-making framework that managers and other appropriate personnel can use to select suitable Wearable Internet of Things (WIoT) devices for proper application/ implementation in the construction industry. The research involves a literature review on the aforementioned devices and the development and demonstration of a decision-making framework using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP)
