Design of a GSM based digital door lock
The proposed project is intended to design an access control system using GSM technology. GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) is a digital mobile telephony system that uses a variation of Time Division Multiple Accesses (TDMA) and most widely uses the three digital wireless telephony technologies i.e., TDMA, CDMA & FDMA. The present project is an innovative idea for providing security by restricting the access of certain areas to certain people only. In this case of security, the opening & closing of the gate of the restricted areas is done through SMS. A GSM modem is used for this purpose. It allows only authenticated SIM cards or number for the access purpose rejecting all other unauthenticated SIM card users. When an ‘OPEN ’SMS is sent, the gate opens up and then closes automatically
Design of a Controller for Simultaneous Control of Multiple Systems in Wireless Scenario
Wireless technology is becoming an ever-emerging part of human life with new services and products being released every month. Thus wireless communications brings huge benefits to the user or users. The used Radio Frequency (RF) Module is basically an Advanced Virtual RISC (AVR) microcontroller based communication system. The RF Module used in our project contains two units transmitter and receiver. The transmitter module converts parallel data into serial by using HT12E encoder prior to wireless transmission. The encoded data get received by receiver and converts or decodes the serial data into parallel by using HT12D decoder. After converting the data into parallel form which is made use by AVR16A micro controller to generate instructions for operation of relays connected to two different bulbs
E-Learning: Case Studies in Web-Controlled Devices and Remote Manipulation
Chances are that distance learning will transparently extend colleges and institutes of education and could plausibly overtake and turn into a preferred choice of higher education, especially for adult and working students. The main idea in e-learning is to build adequate solutions that can assure educational training over the Internet, without requiring a personal presence at the degree offering institution. The advantages are immediate and of unique importance, to enumerate a few: Education costs can be reduced dramatically, both from a student's perspective and the institution's (no need for room and board, for example); The tedious immigration and naturalization issues common with international students are eliminated; The limited campus facilities, faculty members and course schedules an institution can offer are no longer a boundary; Working adults can consider upgrading skills without changing their lifestyles We are presenting through this material a sequence of projects developed at University of Bridgeport and than can serve well in distance learning education ranging from simple "hobby" style training to professional guidance material. The projects have an engineering / laboratory flavor and are being presented in an arbitrary order, topics ranging from vision and sensing to engineering design, scheduling, remote control and operation

REVERSE ENGINEERING THROUGH THE EXAMPLE OF AN INFRARED REMOTE CONTROLLER
U članku je objašnjen postupak povratnog
inženjeringa na primjeru infracrvenog daljinskog
upravljača i pripadajućeg detektora. U potpunom
nedostatku dokumentacije za raspoloživi
infracrveni upravljač/detektor sustav ostvarena
je potpuna funkcionalnost. U postupku se koristi
fl eksibilna programska okolina za akviziciju
podataka i upravljanje. Analizom infracrvenog
In this paper the process of reverse engineering
through the case of an infrared remote control
set (IR remote control with a complement
sensor) is described. In spite of total absence of
corresponding documentation for the available
IR set, complete functionality is achieved.
The process is based on a fl exible programing
environment for data acquisition and process
control. Through the analysis of the remote
control infrared signal the specifi c button binary
codes are established, and are subsequently used
to control other devices. The described process
is general enough that it can be used with any IR
remote control device. The modularity of the code
enables easy integration and control within other
parts of the code
Design and Implementation of HD Wireless Video Transmission System Based on Millimeter Wave
With the improvement of optical fiber communication network construction and the improvement of camera technology, the video that the terminal can receive becomes clearer, with resolution up to 4K. Although optical fiber communication has high bandwidth and fast transmission speed, it is not the best solution for indoor short-distance video transmission in terms of cost, laying difficulty and speed.
In this context, this thesis proposes to design and implement a multi-channel wireless HD video transmission system with high transmission performance by using the 60GHz millimeter wave technology, aiming to improve the bandwidth from optical nodes to wireless terminals and improve the quality of video transmission. This thesis mainly covers the following parts:
(1) This thesis implements wireless video transmission algorithm, which is divided into wireless transmission algorithm and video transmission algorithm, such as 64QAM modulation and demodulation algorithm, H.264 video algorithm and YUV420P algorithm.
(2) This thesis designs the hardware of wireless HD video transmission system, including network processing unit (NPU) and millimeter wave module. Millimeter wave module uses RWM6050 baseband chip and TRX-BF01 rf chip. This thesis will design the corresponding hardware circuit based on the above chip, such as 10Gb/s network port, PCIE.
(3) This thesis realizes the software design of wireless HD video transmission system, selects FFmpeg and Nginx to build the sending platform of video transmission system on NPU, and realizes video multiplex transmission with Docker. On the receiving platform of video transmission, FFmpeg and Qt are selected to realize video decoding, and OpenGL is combined to realize video playback.
(4) Finally, the thesis completed the wireless HD video transmission system test, including pressure test, Web test and application scenario test. It has been verified that its HD video wireless transmission system can transmit HD VR video with three-channel bit rate of 1.2GB /s, and its rate can reach up to 3.7GB /s, which meets the research goal
Artificial Intelligence in the Creative Industries: A Review
This paper reviews the current state of the art in Artificial Intelligence
(AI) technologies and applications in the context of the creative industries. A
brief background of AI, and specifically Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, is
provided including Convolutional Neural Network (CNNs), Generative Adversarial
Networks (GANs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and Deep Reinforcement
Learning (DRL). We categorise creative applications into five groups related to
how AI technologies are used: i) content creation, ii) information analysis,
iii) content enhancement and post production workflows, iv) information
extraction and enhancement, and v) data compression. We critically examine the
successes and limitations of this rapidly advancing technology in each of these
areas. We further differentiate between the use of AI as a creative tool and
its potential as a creator in its own right. We foresee that, in the near
future, machine learning-based AI will be adopted widely as a tool or
collaborative assistant for creativity. In contrast, we observe that the
successes of machine learning in domains with fewer constraints, where AI is
the `creator', remain modest. The potential of AI (or its developers) to win
awards for its original creations in competition with human creatives is also
limited, based on contemporary technologies. We therefore conclude that, in the
context of creative industries, maximum benefit from AI will be derived where
its focus is human centric -- where it is designed to augment, rather than
replace, human creativity
ANALYSIS AND INVESTIGATION OF IMAGE TRANSMISSION VIA RADIO FREQUENCY
In the present day an assortment of correspondence mediums are enhancing of innovation and make the life more less demanding. The enormous change of innovation has definitely given a positive effect to the innovation of correspondence. Moreover, in this cutting edge world information transferring turn out to be extremely urgent for all of as we all need to be quick and productive. In this way, to fulfil these necessities, Radio Frequency (RF) correspondence can be an essential option venture to overcome correspondence issues
