ITS for Teaching French
Abstract: The paper depicts the blueprint of an electronic wise indicating system for demonstrating learning French to understudies to overcome the inconveniences they go up against. The fundamental idea of this structure is a proficient introduction into learning French. The system shows the purpose of learning French and coordinates thusly made issues for the understudies to clarify. The system is logically balanced at run time to the understudy’s individual progress. The system gives unequivocal help to adaptable presentation to learners
Using Applied Behavior Analysis in Software to help Tutor Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
There are currently many tutoring software systems which have been designed
for neurotypical children. These systems cover academic topics such as reading
and math, and are made available through various technological mediums. The
majority of these systems were not designed for use by children with special
needs, in particular those who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Since the 1970's, studies have been conducted on the use of Applied Behavior
Analysis to help autistic children learn [1]. This teaching methodology is
proven to be very effective, with many patients having their diagnosis of
autism dropped after a few years of treatment. With the advent of ubiquitous
technologies such as mobile devices, it has become apparent that these devices
could also be used to help tutor autistic children on academic subjects such as
reading and math. Though the delivery of tutoring material must be made using
Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, given that ABA therapy is currently the
only form of treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsed by the US Surgeon
General [2], which further makes the case for incorporating it into an
academics tutoring system tailored for autistic children. In this paper, we
present a mobile software system which can be utilized to tutor children who
are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the subjects of reading and
math. The software makes use of Applied Behavior Analysis techniques such as a
Token Economy system, visual and audible reinforcers, and generalization.
Furthermore, we explore how combining Applied Behavior Analysis and technology,
could help extend the reach of tutoring systems to these children.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figure
Family Life & Life Skills Education for Adolescents: Trivandrum Experience
Adolescence is a period of experimenting, experiencing and expanding. Adolescents need help and guidance in
decision-making, problem solving, critical thinking, developing interpersonal skills, self-awareness, empathy,
coping with stress and managing emotions. The rebelliousness and dislike for parental intrusion usually keeps
parents at bay because teenagers do not relish the idea of help and guidance from parents. However, this may not
always be so. Beneath frequent violent outbursts, sudden mood swings and related interpersonal problems of an
adolescent, there may be a person crying out for professional help. All adolescents need support and guidance.
When parents find it difficult to handle signs of trouble, professional help should be sought at the earliest. Extra
care is needed while offering help to adolescents problems because it is not easy for teenagers to accept the fact
that they need help. Attempts should be made to understand the adolescent, and to safeguard, protect and guide
him/her. The Family Life & Life Skills Education Programme is a good support system for adolescents at the
community level
Periodicity enclosed in boundaries: local density of states in photonic clusters\ud
We have studied the effect of the boundaries on the local density of states (LDOS) in one-, two-, and three-dimensional finite size photonic structures. The LDOS was calculated with the help of the local perturbation method (LPM) and a new LPM-Bloch method using periodicity of the system. The methods are applicable for the clusters made of small (relative to the incident wavelength) particles or for the clusters which can be considered as made of such particles. It was demonstrated that the LPM-Bloch method is an accurate numerical tool for calculation of the LDOS in the finite size photonic structures with weak interference. \ud

A Closed System of Production Possibility and Social Welfare
We offer a closed system production possibility and social welfare system that can be modelled using virtually any available software package. It has the attribute that social welfare is not independent of production possibilities. The closure is made using the famous result by Negishi (1960) for a purely competitive economy. The goal is to help students to understand the interaction, through experimentation, between production and social choice in a competitive economy.
A review of early warning system models
Financial crises have not declined in number, frequency or severity over the last two decades, rather the contrary. Each crisis causes enormous costs in the countries concerned. Thus, international financial institutions invest in researching early warning systems (EWS). The Early Warning System models can be made most useful to help sustain global growth and maintain financial stability, especially in light of the lessons learned from the current and past crises.Early Warning System models, financial crises
Relativistic Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions: Zone of Reactions and Space-Time Structure of a Fireball
A zone of reactions is determined and then exploited as a tool in studying
the space-time structure of an interacting system formed in a collision of
relativistic nuclei. The time dependence of the reaction rates integrated over
spatial coordinates is also considered. Evaluations are made with the help of
the microscopic transport model UrQMD. The relation of the boundaries of
different zones of reactions and the hypersurfaces of sharp chemical and
kinetic freeze-outs is discussed.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure
