    Demand driven web services

Web services are playing a pivotal role in e-business, service intelligence, and service science. Demand-driven web services are becoming important for web services and service computing. However, many fundamental issues are still ignored to some extent. For example, what is the demand theory for web services, what is a demand-driven architecture for web services and what is a demand-driven web service lifecycle remain open. This chapter addresses these issues by examining fundamentals for demand analysis in web services, and proposing a demand-driven architecture for web services. It also proposes a demand-driven web service lifecycle for the main players in web services: Service providers, service requestors and service brokers, respectively. It then provides a unified perspective on demand-driven web service lifecycles. The proposed approaches will facilitate research and development of web services, e-services, service intelligence, service science and service computing

Against the backdrop of the development of modern technologies in the field of scientific research the new class of Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) and related intelligent information technologies has arisen. It was called - Research and Development Workstation Environment (RDWE) - the comprehensive problem-oriented information systems for scientific research and development lifecycle support. The given paper describes design and development fundamentals of the RDWE class systems. The RDWE class system's generalized information model is represented in the article as a three-tuple composite web service that include: a set of atomic web services, each of them can be designed and developed as a microservice or a desktop application, that allows them to be used as an independent software separately; a set of functions, the functional filling-up of the Research and Development Workstation Environment; a subset of atomic web services that are required to implement function of composite web service. In accordance with the fundamental information model of the RDWE class the system for supporting research in the field of ontology engineering - the automated building of applied ontology in an arbitrary domain area, scientific and technical creativity - the automated preparation of application documents for patenting inventions in Ukraine was developed. It was called - Personal Research Information System. A distinctive feature of such systems is the possibility of their problematic orientation to various types of scientific activities by combining on a variety of functional services and adding new ones within the cloud integrated environment. The main results of our work are focused on enhancing the effectiveness of the scientist's research and development lifecycle in the arbitrary domain area.Comment: In English, 13 pages, 1 figure, 1 table, added references in Russian. Toward an open cloud standard

Today's cloud ecosystem features several increasingly divergent management interfaces. Numerous bridging efforts attempt to ameliorate the resulting vendor lock-in for customers. However, as the number of providers continues to grow, the drawback of this approach becomes apparent: the need to maintain adapter implementations. The Open Cloud Computing Interface builds on the fundamentals of modern Web-based services to define a standardized interface for cloud environments while enabling service providers to differentiate their service offerings at the same time

Current educational systems have the need to resort to technological means to improve the teaching - learning process. One of these means are multimedia didactic materials. But are they really effective, in order to achieve the objective for which they have been designed? Are they only content transmitters? How effective are they? We can affirm that for the design of multimedia materials, not only should we think about meeting short-term goals, but also if the results that will be achieved in the long term will have some effect on the integral formation of the person. Bearing these objectives clear, it is necessary that all didactic material comply with standards that guarantee effectiveness. Therefore, the teacher must know these standards and know how to use them. In this way, all multimedia didactic material should not be based on rote learning but should promote the construction of knowledge and research, thus fulfilling the functions of providing information, awakening interests, maintaining a continuous activity and interaction with materials, guiding the learning, promote it from the mistakes, since it should offer them the possibility of improving gradually; and finally should facilitate the evaluation and control of learning both individually and as a team. Therefore, the module is divided into four (4) sessions whose credible products in each session will enable it to be published in web 2.0 services and / or virtual learning platforms:   In session 1, you will know the basic fundamentals on the subject and explore the various resources needed for the design, preparation and publication of multimedia didactic materials using software or web 2.0 services. In session 2, you will design, produce and publish textual and hypertextual content using web 2.0 software or services. In Session 3, you will explore various audio databases. You can also create your own audios or podcast using software and web 2.0 tools. In turn, credible products will be published in web 2.0 services. In session 4, you will explore and edit various video databases. Additionally, you will create your own webcast or videos using software and web 2.0 tools. In turn, credible products will be published on the Internet

University of Technology, Sydney. Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.E-government service integration process has recently become an important research topic in e-government domain since many countries have developed various levels of e-government services. Non-interoperability between government agencies in service delivery implementation and platform posing the technical challenge, and the lack of the formulated modelling framework is the main methodological obstacle on the way of achieving dynamic delivery of integrated e-government services. This research is a study of the problems associated with the integration and delivery of integrated e-government services, and proposes a novel solution to tackle them. We start with investigating the fundamentals of e-government as a field of research to build a sensible argument for the questions investigated by this research, which lead to the exposure of the methodological as well as technological problems with the mechanics of e-government in the areas of service integration and delivery. The outcomes of this study in Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 respectively 1) suggests the most practically relevant and technically possible evolutionary pathway to e-government transformation, 2) proposes a modified software engineering process to achieve such transformation, 3) develops an innovative framework for modelling the service integration, 4) proposes an ontology as its knowledgebase, and 5) develops an innovative and intelligent software to support the practice of service integration and delivery. These outcomes collectively result in the introduction of a novel, complete and coherent solution for the abovementioned problems. This research is a cross disciplinary study of software integration engineering frameworks, e-government service delivery platform and semantic web technology, all working to devise the most efficient and robust framework of using semantic web capabilities to enable the delivery of integrated e-government services in an intelligent platform
