    In February 2021, the Marine Corps released its official guidance on the Human Resource Development Process (HRDP). The Marine Corps outlined the HRDP phases of Guidance, Planning, Production, Assignment, and Assessment as co-occurring and continuous operations. Each process within the phases produces vast amounts of qualitative and quantitative data for the Marine Corps. Using Monterey Phoenix to model both the HRDP and Information Management System (IMS) system behaviors supporting the HRDP, I evaluated the Marine Corps' IMS ability to support Talent Management 2030. First, processes designed in the industrial era and carried into the digital age should not persist. This study recommends IT IMS changes to deal with the legacy processes and methodologies from a bygone era. Secondly, this report provides a framework, tools, and examples to conduct process analysis across all administrative functions across the force, allowing Marine Corps leadership to capitalize on efficiencies already gained by Fleet Marine Forces.Captain, United States Marine CorpsApproved for public release. In a series of collaborations between NASA research and development centers and nearby universities, engineering faculty members spend 10 weeks working with professional peers on research.     Telescience testbed pilot program, volume 2: Program results

    Space Station Freedom and its associated labs, coupled with the availability of new computing and communications technologies, have the potential for significantly enhancing scientific research. A Telescience Testbed Pilot Program (TTPP), aimed at developing the experience base to deal with issues in the design of the future information system of the Space Station era. The testbeds represented four scientific disciplines (astronomy and astrophysics, earth sciences, life sciences, and microgravity sciences) and studied issues in payload design, operation, and data analysis. This volume, of a 3 volume set, which all contain the results of the TTPP, contains the integrated results. Background is provided of the program and highlights of the program results. The various testbed experiments and the programmatic approach is summarized. The results are summarized on a discipline by discipline basis, highlighting the lessons learned for each discipline. Then the results are integrated across each discipline, summarizing the lessons learned overall

    Papers and observatory reports presented at the second workshop of the Max '91 program are compiled along with discussion group summaries and invited reviews. The four discussion groups addressed the following subjects: high-energy flare physics; coordinated magnetograph observations; flare theory and modeling; and Max '91 communications and coordination.
