Purpose: Brazil has adopted e-Health as a national policy applied to healthcare and education since 2006. The aim of the present study is to present the evolution of the legislation as it reflects the evolution of the Brazilian Telehealth Program along this period of time, as well as some learned lessons. Methods: To describe the evolution of the program, a model was adopted, and analysed  in parallel to the three main edicts that oriented the evolution of the  program. Results: The life cycle stages of e-health implementation were identified in the evolution of the 3 different stages of the Brazilian Telehealth Program and also reflected in the evolution of its legislation. The results of pilot project from the first stage was followed and guided the implementation of the National Program applied to primary health care in the second stage. The Program has been implemented all over the country, developed new concepts, became integrated to the Unified Health Systems not only in primary health care, but also include median and high complexity level of care. Conclusion: The Brazilian Telehealth Program, along his implementation and consolidation, established new concepts and had telehealth included in its roll of services. These accomplishments are reflected in the Brazilian legislation, which considers and applies e-Health as a national policy

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all groups, including groups such as pregnant women. It is not only the issue of transmission that is the direct impact of Covid-19. However, there are also indirect implications that are of less concern at this time, namely regarding access to health services for women during pregnancy and childbirth. Restrictions on access to health services are directly recommended for pregnant women during this pandemic. This is done because pregnant women are a vulnerable group who can contract Covid-19. Restrictions on the mobility of pregnant women during this pandemic can actually be a misperception. Where pregnancy checks are not a must to do, even though it can involve the safety of pregnant women and the children they are carrying. In addition, the impact of social distancing and lockdown policies can be an obstacle to the use of health services. In this case, pregnant women also need to spend additional money as a condition for getting services during this pandemic, which includes rapid examinations which are a requirement to get services at health facilities. If a solution is not formulated, this problem will explode again in the next epidemic. Based on these problems, we need media that can assist pregnant women in conducting consultations and remote monitoring to help maintain during their pregnancy, so we propose a research proposal "Teleconsulting for Pregnant Women Based on Mobile Applications for Covid 19 Prevention" where the media will assist in the consultation process. and monitoring pregnant women without having to do face-to-face. The methods used in this research are Requirements Gathering, Quick Design, Prototype Development, Prototype Testing, Prototype Improvement, and Prototype Results. With the resulting system, it is hoped that pregnant women can conduct pregnancy consultations remotely, thereby reducing the risk of spreading Covid19

Application of telemedicine systems to cover distant geographical areas has increased recently. However, the potential usefulness of similar systems for creation of national networks does not seem to be widely appreciated. The article describes the "Virtual Health Care Knowledge Center in Georgia" project. Its aim was the set up of an online integrated web-based platform to provide remote medical consultations and eLearning cycles. The project "Virtual Health Care Knowledge Center in Georgia" was the NATO Networking Infrastructure Grant dedicated for development of telemedicine in non-NATO countries. The project implemented a pilot to organize the creation of national eHealth network in Georgia and to promote the use of innovative telemedicine and eLearning services in the Georgian healthcare system. In June 2007 it was continued under the NATO Networking Infrastructure Grant "ePathology – Virtual Pathology Center in Georgia as the Continuation of Virtual Health Care Center"

Telemedicine is changing the way medicine can be practiced, and how medical knowledge is communicated, learnt and researched in today\u27s technologically oriented society. The adoption of internet based communication has significantly expanded the patients\u27 ability to access a multitude of world class medical information. Research has shown that patients would welcome the ability to consult a doctor using the same computing tools they use to communicate with family, friends and work colleagues. This paper discusses the use of telemedicine today and how it could be used to access medical services from home. Further, it investigates the incentives and barriers to widespread adoption of such services in Australia with particular reference to the issues of information security. The technology to make home telemedicine a reality is already available and all that remains for this to come to fruition is a shift in culture to accept it as a suitable alternative to current medical consultation practice

Two teleradiology applications with the added-value of teleconsulting are described: CARE, a high level diagnostic oriented application with videoconference and image and cursor synchronization based on SUN stations, and RAIM, a lower level PC-based application oriented to the transmission of patients' results, reports and associated images. Their technical characteristics and solutions adopted are presented together with the context in which they have been developed and thought to fit in.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
