This paper investigates how manufacturing companies reconfigure their assets in their digital servitization journey (transition from selling products to selling product-service-software offerings). By studying five leading manufacturers for a longer time-period (2010-2018), we found that depending on their previous role of being whether system sellers or system integrators, their capability development practices differed: system sellers used practices emphasizing control (e.g., insourcing, acquisitions) whereas system integrators stressed practices that enabled flexibility (e.g., outsourcing, alliances). Based on these findings, manufacturers should establish their vision as provider of smart, connected solutions, and develop associated capabilities and practices that support this vision achievement.Š2022 The authors. Structuring preferences has been developed with econometric models using functional flexible parametric form and the exploring the perceptions about expressed and latent needs using different multivariate approaches. Purpose of this research is to explore the demand for a new drink using the mean-end chain (MEC) theory and multivariate SEM procedure. The first part is dedicated to description of specialty foods for their capacity to create new niche markets. The MEC theory is introduced to explain the relations between attributes and consumers' perceptions of secondary needs revealed as benefit and values. The second part is dedicated to the empirical investigation of demand of a drink obtained from the "Olivello spinoso" a spontaneous plant. Empirical data were collected with "face to face sensorial test", and used to test the consumer perceptions for the product's attributes and preferences using the SEM approach. Conclusive remarks are in terms of suggestions about the modification of the product's attributes to increase the demand.Demand, Mean-End Chain, multivariate analysis, Specialty products, Niche market, customer satisfaction, SEM, Consumer/Household Economics,

The research examines the influence of three organizational pressures (such as, government, customer and rivals) on performance associated with environment and operations. These three organizational forces are analyzed by adopting green supply chain management (GSCM), considering the senior management and examining social capital in the supply chain between buyers and sellers. Information was obtained by an email questionnaire from buying companies in Indonesian manufacturing sector. The analysis was based on structural equation modeling (SEM) and applied on 250 available responses from Indonesian manufacturing sector to evaluate our hypotheses. Our findings demonstrated that almost all hypotheses are accepted. Our research expands the GSCM literature by incorporating significant and latest concepts into the GSCM theory, and at the same time offering implications for policy making through empirical evidence

The development of leasing relations is based on the adequate methodological basis for assessing the effectiveness of the leasing process. The purpose of our research is to describe the methodology for assessing and managing the leasing process taking into account the interests of the lessee and the factors of the external and internal environment. In our research leasing process is represented as an element of supply chain management. The main methods that we used in our research were the method of modeling cash flows of the enterprise - recipient and the method of discounting the cash flows generated with the participation of an industrial enterprise in the leasing process, the methodology for modeling the supply chain of an industrial enterprise. The proposed methodology is a universal tool for assessing and managing the leasing process, which includes the strengths of advanced methods for assessing the effectiveness of a leasing scheme for financing productive investments accumulated in scientific works of experts in the field of leasing and logistics. The proposed structure of strategic features based on a set of methods for assessing leasing activities, leasing potential and leasing climate allows an industrial enterprise to develop management strategies for the leasing process based on the performance. The methodology of assessment and management has practical value for a wide range of organizations that are considering the possibility of technological re-equipment of industrial production in the context of platform business networks, as well as the improvement of supply chain management

Abstract- Creating the business models for supply chain process is the subject of modern scientific research in the field of strategic planning and management of the enterprise. Some theoretical and practical aspects have not yet received a comprehensive scientific substantiation. General problem of enterprise management is traditionally analyzed in the researches, and business modeling is not fully investigated. The current state of the economy and peculiarities of its development, as well as the transformational nature of the Russian economy, show that the most important theoretical and practical aspects, which require scientific attention and development, analysis and systematization, are the theoretical provisions of business modeling concept for supply chain process; clarification of the term "business model" for supply chain process of an industrial enterprise; definition of the main elements and substantiation of the technology of business model formation; systematization and generalization of modern methods of strategic analysis; formation of an integrated system for assessment the effectiveness of the enterprises business model for supply chain process. The issues of strategic development of the enterprise always arouse a great interest among researchers. Today, a significant number of business models have been created for the development of enterprises of various industry structures. The purpose of the article is to systematize the information about the creation of business models for supply chain process of industrial enterprises, to consider the features of the models use at the present stage. Scientific and theoretical basis of the research was the methods of analysis and synthesis, scientific abstraction, the use of quantitative and qualitative assessment methods, with the help of which the categories of the concept business model for the supply chain process were defined. Endogenous and exogenous factors, influencing the functioning of enterprises business models were identified. The article deals with the conceptual issues of the business model for the supply chain process formation, in particular, the essence and peculiarities of modern business models, as well as management approaches to the processes of development of enterprises business model for supply chain process. Get PDF
The present work aims to identify the interrelations among trust, privacy, emotions and experience in order to predict high purchase intentions, when using personalized services in the area of e-commerce. Building on complexity theory we present a conceptual model followed by research propositions. Our propositions are empirically validated through a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) on 182 customers with experience in personalized online shopping. The results indicate five configurations of trust, privacy, emotions, and experience that explain high purchase intentions. The importance of trust and happiness should be noted since they are both present most frequently as core factors. The study has both theoretical and practical implications towards the development of new emotion-centric theories and the design and provision of personalized services

Program-modular approach to the coordination of interests of participants of regional water markets (the case of southern regions of Russia)

    Get PDF
Relevance. The efficiency of water management is determined by the quality of managerial decision-making. These decisions should ensure the balance of interests of all the actors in regional water markets. At present, in Russia, however, the balance of interests is considered only in macro-level strategies, which leads to the inefficiency of water distribution in regions. The study of the issues of rational distribution of water resources and their use in various industries and spheres of activity is, therefore, particularly relevant.Research objective. This article aims to propose methodology for maintaining the optimal balance between the interests of economic actors in regional water markets.Data and methods. This article proposes a program-modular approach to building a more efficient water management system. It is shown how the proposed methodology based on the incremental model of management can be used for balancing the interests of economic agents (suppliers and consumers of water resources). Results. It is proved that the plurality and divergence of interests of economic agents makes it difficult to manage them and thus precludes social and economic development of territories. The structural-functional analysis of the incremental model reveals various types of connections between the water-retaining capacity of gross regional product and indexes of industrial production for regions of the South Federal District.Conclusions. The prospects of development of water management in regions are associated with ensuring the balance of interests of the water market’s participants. The program-modular approach proposed by the authors combines the administrative and resource potential of regional water management and aligns the goals on the regional level with the more general goals of hydropower modernization. The novelty of our research is that it relies on the incremental model, which, unlike other models of management, leads to an incremental achievement of the desired through certain iterations

Considering how morphological traits of urban fabric create affordances for complex adaptation and emergence
