Time-delayed impulsive control for discrete-time nonlinear systems with actuator saturation
This paper focuses on the problem of time-delayed impulsive control with actuator saturation for discrete-time dynamical systems. By establishing a delayed impulsive difference inequality, combining with convex analysis and inequality techniques, some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure exponential stability for discrete-time dynamical systems via time-delayed impulsive controller with actuator saturation. The designed controller admits the existence of some transmission delays in impulsive feedback law, and the control input variables are required to stay within an availability zone. Several numerical simulations are also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Robust H∞ filtering for markovian jump systems with randomly occurring nonlinearities and sensor saturation: The finite-horizon case
This article is posted with the permission of IEEE - Copyright @ 2011 IEEEThis paper addresses the robust H∞ filtering problem for a class of discrete time-varying Markovian jump systems with randomly occurring nonlinearities and sensor saturation. Two kinds of transition probability matrices for the Markovian process are considered, namely, the one with polytopic uncertainties and the one with partially unknown entries. The nonlinear disturbances are assumed to occur randomly according to stochastic variables satisfying the Bernoulli distributions. The main purpose of this paper is to design a robust filter, over a given finite-horizon, such that the H∞ disturbance attenuation level is guaranteed for the time-varying Markovian jump systems in the presence of both the randomly occurring nonlinearities and the sensor saturation. Sufficient conditions are established for the existence of the desired filter satisfying the H∞ performance constraint in terms of a set of recursive linear matrix inequalities. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed filter design scheme. This work was supported in part by the National Natural Science Foundation

SATURATED AND ASYMMETRIC SATURATED IMPULSIVE CONTROL SYNCHRONIZATION OF COUPLED DELAYED INERTIAL NEURAL NETWORKS WITH TIME-VARYING DELAYS
This paper considers control systems with impulses that are saturated and asymmetrically saturated which are used to examine the synchronization of inertial neural networks (INNs) with time-varying delay and coupling delays. Under the theoretical discussions, mixed delays, such as transmission delay and coupling delay are presented for inertial neural networks. The addressed INNs are transformed into first order differential equations utilizing variable transformation on INNs and then certain adequate conditions are derived for the exponential synchronization of the addressed model by substituting saturation nonlinearity with a dead-zone function. In addition, an asymmetric saturated impulsive control approach is given to realize the exponential synchronization of addressed INNs in the leader-following synchronization pattern. Finally, simulation results are used to validate the theoretical research findings
Static anti-windup compensator design for locally Lipschitz systems under input and output delays
This paper proposes a static anti-windup compensator (AWC) design methodology for the locally Lipschitz nonlinear systems, containing time-varying interval delays in input and output of the system in the presence of actuator saturation. Static AWC design is proposed for the systems by considering a delay-range-dependent methodology to consider less conservative delay bounds. The approach has been developed by utilizing an improved Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, locally Lipschitz nonlinearity property, delay-interval, delay derivative upper bound, local sector condition, L2 gain reduction from exogenous input to exogenous output, improved Wirtinger inequality, additive time-varying delays, and convex optimization algorithms to obtain convex conditions for AWC gain calculations. In contrast to the existing results, the present work considers both input and output delays for the AWC design (along with their combined additive effect) and deals with a more generic locally Lipschitz class of nonlinear systems. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is demonstrated via simulations for a nonlinear DC servo motor system, possessing multiple time-delays, dynamic nonlinearity and actuator constraints
