Exponential stabilization of fractional-order continuous-time dynamic systems via eventtriggered impulsive control (EIC) approach is investigated in this paper. Nonlinear and linear fractional-order continuous-time dynamic systems are studied, respectively. The impulsive instants are determined by some given event-triggering function and event-triggering condition, which are dependent on the state of the systems. Sufficient conditions on exponential stabilization for nonlinear and linear cases are presented, respectively. Moreover, the Zeno-behavior of impulsive instants is excluded. Finally, the validity of theoretical results are also illustrated by some numerical simulation examples including the synchronization control of fractional-order jerk chaotic system

Robust synchronization of fractional-order unified chaotic systems via linear control

AbstractA new scheme for accomplishing synchronization between two fractional-order unified chaotic systems is proposed in this paper. The scheme does not require that the nonlinear dynamics of the synchronization error system must be eliminated. Moreover, the parameter of the systems does not have to be known. A controller is a linear feedback controller, which is simple in implementation. It is designed based on an LMI condition. The LMI condition guarantees that the synchronization between the slave system and the master system is achieved. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme

Modified Projective Synchronization between Different Fractional-Order Systems Based on Open-Plus-Closed-Loop Control and Its Application in Image Encryption

A new general and systematic coupling scheme is developed to achieve the modified projective synchronization (MPS) of different fractional-order systems under parameter mismatch via the Open-Plus-Closed-Loop (OPCL) control. Based on the stability theorem of linear fractional-order systems, some sufficient conditions for MPS are proposed. Two groups of numerical simulations on the incommensurate fraction-order system and commensurate fraction-order system are presented to justify the theoretical analysis. Due to the unpredictability of the scale factors and the use of fractional-order systems, the chaotic data from the MPS is selected to encrypt a plain image to obtain higher security. Simulation results show that our method is efficient with a large key space, high sensitivity to encryption keys, resistance to attack of differential attacks, and statistical analysis

Projective synchronization in fractional order chaotic systems and its control

The chaotic dynamics of fractional (non-integer) order systems have begun to attract much attention in recent years. In this paper, we study the projective synchronization in two coupled fractional order chaotic oscillators. It is shown that projective synchronization can also exist in coupled fractional order chaotic systems. A simple feedback control method for controlling the scaling factor onto a desired value is also presented.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figure
