Resource modalities in game semantics
The description of resources in game semantics has never achieved the
simplicity and precision of linear logic, because of a misleading conception:
the belief that linear logic is more primitive than game semantics. We advocate
instead the contrary: that game semantics is conceptually more primitive than
linear logic. Starting from this revised point of view, we design a categorical
model of resources in game semantics, and construct an arena game model where
the usual notion of bracketing is extended to multi- bracketing in order to
capture various resource policies: linear, affine and exponential
Implementing Brouwer's database of strongly regular graphs
Andries Brouwer maintains a public database of existence results for strongly
regular graphs on vertices. We implemented most of the infinite
families of graphs listed there in the open-source software Sagemath, as well
as provided constructions of the "sporadic" cases, to obtain a graph for each
set of parameters with known examples. Besides providing a convenient way to
verify these existence results from the actual graphs, it also extends the
database to higher values of .Comment: 18 pages, LaTe
Some geometric structures and bounds for Ramsey numbers
AbstractWe investigate several bounds for both K2,mâK1,n Ramsey numbers and K2,mâK1,n bipartite Ramsey numbers, extending some previous results. Constructions based on certain geometric structures (designs, projective planes, unitals) yield classes of near-optimal bounds or even exact values. Moreover, relationships between these numbers are also discussed
