PhD ThesisThe Qur'an is at the heart of Islamic culture. Careful, well-informed interpretation of it is fundamental both to the faith of millions of Muslims throughout the world, and also to the non-Islamic world's understanding of their religion. There is a long and venerable tradition of Qur'anic interpretation, and it has necessarily been based on literary-historical methods for exegesis of hand-written and printed text. Developments in electronic text representation and analysis since the second half of the twentieth century now offer the opportunity to supplement traditional techniques by applying the newly-emergent computational technology of exploratory multivariate analysis to interpretation of the Qur'an. The general aim of the present discussion is to take up that opportunity. Specifically, the discussion develops and applies a methodology for discovering the thematic structure of the Qur'an based on a fundamental idea in a range of computationally oriented disciplines: that, with respect to some collection of texts, the lexical frequency profiles of the individual texts are a good indicator of their semantic content, and thus provide a reliable criterion for their conceptual categorization relative to one another. This idea is applied to the discovery of thematic interrelationships among the suras that constitute the Qur'an by abstracting lexical frequency data from them and then analyzing that data using exploratory multivariate methods in the hope that this will generate hypotheses about the thematic structure of the Qur'an. The discussion is in eight main parts. The first part introduces the discussion. The second gives an overview of the structure and thematic content of the Qur'an and of the tradition of Qur'anic scholarship devoted to its interpretation. The third part xvi defines the research question to be addressed together with a methodology for doing so. The fourth reviews the existing literature on the research question. The fifth outlines general principles of data creation and applies them to creation of the data on which the analysis of the Qur'an in this study is based. The sixth outlines general principles of exploratory multivariate analysis, describes in detail the analytical methods selected for use, and applies them to the data created in part five. The seventh part interprets the results of the analyses conducted in part six with reference to the existing results in Qur'anic interpretation described in part two. And, finally, the eighth part draws conclusions relative to the research question and identifies directions along which the work presented in this study can be developed

Nowadays, information hiding is becoming a helpful technique and fetches more attention due to the fast growth of using the internet; it is applied for sending secret information by using different techniques. Watermarking is one of major important technique in information hiding. Watermarking is of hiding secret data into a carrier media to provide the privacy and integrity of information so that no one can recognize and detect it's accepted the sender and receiver. In watermarking, many various carrier formats can be used such as an image, video, audio, and text. The text is most popular used as a carrier files due to its frequency on the internet. There are many techniques variables for the text watermarking; each one has its own robust and susceptible points. In this study, we conducted a review of text watermarking in the spatial domain to explore the term text watermarking by reviewing, collecting, synthesizing and analyze the challenges of different studies which related to this area published from 2013 to 2018. The aims of this paper are to provide an overview of text watermarking and comparison between approved studies as discussed according to the Arabic text characters, payload capacity, Imperceptibility, authentication, and embedding technique to open important research issues in the future work to obtain a robust method

This paper examines the challenges of da‘wa in multicultural communities in three regencies of Central Kalimantan. These three regencies are usually dubbed ad watersheds because they are the initial pathways for the spread of Islam in Central Kalimantan which at present, the majorities of population are muslims. This paper based on research field result on basis interview, FGD, and documentation. This study finds : Broadly speaking, da'wa challenges on multicultural communiries consist of internal and external factors. From internal factors derived from da'i; mad'u ; the approach and method of da'wa and the media. From external factors namely the existence of Christianization activities .Another fact was that although the majority Muslim community, in certain areas politically / governmentally was controlled by non-Muslims. This had animpact on policies and budgets that were not considered significant enough for the development of good da'wa

Indonesia has ethnicity and cultural richness. Beside it, Indonesia has also conflict potential in many faces. The relationship between societal conflict and local wisdom has been one of the main themes of study among scholars within the last decade. Some scholars believe that conflict is in contradiction with local values. This paper, however, argues that conflict and local wisdom are in harmony by analysing the relationship between conflict and local tradition among the Dayak people, an ethnic group in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Using an phenomenology study approach, it focuses on how Dayak people maintain and preserve the tradition of Manyanggar. They regard this tradition as an ancient heritage that has to be maintained due to its important values. They also believe that tradition of Manyanggar is a spirit of reconciliation among the community

The intercultural relationship between persian and english literature: a translational perspective (with emphasis on the role of Sir William Jones)

Abstract This PhD dissertation scrutinizes some of Edward Said's notions concerning Western imperialism and colonialism as the hidden targets of Orientalism, presented in his celebrated book, Orientalism. It also demonstrates that Said's political ideas have prevented him from conceiving the literary and cultural bonds which were created between the Orient and the Occident via the endeavors of the Orientalists. In a historical context, this study explores the influence of Persian literature on the development of English poetry particularly during the Romantic Period. It also designates that German Romanticism and American Transcendentalism were inspired by Oriental literature and philosophy, conveyed to them through the translated works. Accordingly, the significance of translation in transmitting literature and culture between nations is examined. Focusing on Sir William Jones as the counterexample of Said's prototype of Orientalists, the study investigates the influence of Jones' translations on European literary works during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in England. This dissertation concludes that literature is man's universal and immortal legacy which is improbable to be colonized, contrary to Said' hypothesis. It also proves that some Orientalists devoted their life to transfer the literature and culture of the Oriental lands to the world, not to dominate them, but based on love and enthusiasm

Along with the times, the Javanese culture that upholds ethics began to degraded and replaced by foreign cultures that came later. The parents’ roles in instilling the Javanese culture to their children also decreased gradually. This paper will examine the Javanese culture’s roles toward the character building in elementary schools’ students. Descriptive method supported by a depth review of the literature and the previous studies is used in this paper as a method. Based on the results of these reviews, we obtain some information about the types and mechanisms of Javanese culture in character building of students, especially elementary school students

This article is devoted to the problem of introduction and implementation of inclusive education. This work contains psychological aspects and conditions of forming parents’ personal position and attitudes who bring up children with limited abilities in relation to inclusive education. Main principles and approaches of their psychological support have been determined for the purpose of ensuring successful integration of children with limited abilities into the inclusive educational environment. The model of psychological and pedagogical support for the family under the conditions of inclusive education was presented. It has been grounded that psychological and pedagogical support at the stage of a child’s entry into the inclusive educational environment must be directed towards the search for the parents’ internal resources who bring up (foster) children with special needs for the purpose of harmonizing and improving their psychical state, raising the level of their resilience, an ability to overcome difficulties by means of building up personal resources. It has been proved that modern psychological support for parents under conditions of inclusive education will help to neutralize and reduce the extent of emotional stress expressiveness which will consequently lead to the child’s defect acceptance and hence, it will provide his further integration into society. The formation and raising social competence in the course of the parents’ interaction with their and other children contributes to the acceptance of stable tolerant attitudes and development of their readiness to cooperate with the participants of the educational process which is the factor of successful building the inclusive educational environment. The article can be of use to psychologists-practitioners, pedagogues, pedagogues-psychologists as well as staff members of educational institutions
