    This study was aimed to generally determine student perceptions on lecturer’s teaching skills and the effect of learning motivation towards student achievement among Mechanical Engineering FKIP UNSRI students. The specific purpose of this study was to determine the student perceptions on lecturer’s teaching skills, to determine learning motivation among college students, and to determine the effect of learning motivation towards student achievement among Mechanical Engineering FKIP UNSRI students. This study used the analytical descriptive method and correlative study technique. The sampling method of this study was purposive sampling to 40 college students of Mechanical Engineering FKIP UNSRI, which were: 25 sixth semester students and 15 eight semester students. The data were collected using questionnaires. The data analysis about student perceptions to skillful lecturers during teaching and supervision process increased the learning motivation among college students. Meanwhile, the learning motivation among students had a positive and significant contribution towards student achievements. The result shown that the learning motivation influenced as much as 43,03 % towards student achievement. The conclusion in this study is, about student perceptions to skillful lecturers during teaching and the learning motivation among students had a positive and significant contribution towards student achievements. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi mahasiswa tentang keterampilan mengajar dosen dan seberapa besar pengaruh motivasi belajar mahasiswa terhadap pencapaian prestasi belajar mahasiswa program studi pendidikan teknik mesin FKIP UNSRI. Secara khusus tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui gambaran persepsi mahasiswa tentang keterampilan mengajar dosen, gambaran motivasi belajar yang dimiliki mahasiswa, dan mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa program studi pendidikan teknik mesin FKIP UNSRI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analisis dengan teknik penelitian korelasional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampel dengan jumlah sampel 40 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan teknik mesin FKIP UNSRI, yaitu: 25 mahasiswa semester enam dan15 mahasiswa semester delapan. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan instrumen angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan persepsi mahasiswa dosen terampil dalam melakukan tugasnya dalam membimbing mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar, secara umum mahasiswa memiliki motivasi yang tinggi untuk belajar, dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa memiliki kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Dari hasil analisis diketahui motivasi belajar mahasiswa mempunyai pengaruh (kontribusi) sebesar 43,03% terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan persepsi mahasiswa dosen terampil mengajar dan motivasi belajar memiliki kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa.     The objectives of the study is to describe the influence of Time Token learning model towards learning motivation, to describe the influence of Time Token learning model towards students' learning achievement of Biology Cell, and to determine the relationship between students' motivation and learning achievement of Biology Cell in Biology Education Studies Program at the Sintuwu Maroso University. The research design uses posttest only control group design in quasi-experiment research. The sample of the research is 79 students. Data were obtained from the learning motivation and learning achievement of biology cell. Data were analyzed using t test and product moment correlation test using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that there is significant influence of Time Token learning model toward student' motivation in learning Biology Cell (t> t table, 1.950> 1.665); there is significant influence of Time Token learning model toward students' learning achievement of Biology Cell (t> t table, 10.941> 1.665); and there is a positive relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of Biology Cell in Biology Education Studies Program at Sintuwu Maroso University (r = 0.601 it is the strong category). Based on the results can be concluded that Time Token learning model can improve student' motivation and learning achievement

    The Efficacy of a Counseling Program in Stimulating the Academic Achievement of a Student with Learning Difficulties ( A Case Study)

    This study aimed at identifying the impact of a counseling program in stimulating the achievement motivation for a student with learning difficulties who suffers from low-level performance motivation. Thus, he was observed and notes were documented around his situation, knowledge, attitudes and self-concept, then his performance was examined during a whole semester in which he was exposed to an educational counseling program for increasing his achievement motivation within specific intervals and this program was executed in the educational counseling room of his school.The quantitative and qualitative analysis of this study, both the diagnostic and the remedial, revealed that the students suffers from low-level motivation towards achievement and performance, and in need for a clear self-concept. Moreover, the study showed that the implemented counseling program was effective in motivating the student and increasing his academic achievement.     The Effect of Computer Assisted Learning and Learning Motivation on the Outcomes of Studying Physics at SMA Negeri 5 Palu

    Abstract. This study was conducted to test the significance of research on student learning outcomes using computer-assisted learning with conventional learning, to test research on learning outcomes of students who have high learning motivation with low learning motivation and the interaction between computer assisted learning and learning motivation towards physics learning outcomes. The research method used was quasi-experimental. The research design used was a 2 x 2 factorial design. Sampling was determined by purposive sampling technique. The research sample was class XI IPA 3 which was planned by 26 students as an experimental class and XI IPA 4 which could be carried out by 26 students as a control class. The research variables consisted of independent variables, namely computer assisted learning, the dependent variable on learning outcomes and the moderator variable, namely learning motivation. Retrieval of data through learning outcomes test and physics learning motivation questionnaire. The data of this study were analyzed using the two-way ANOVA technique using the SPSS version 21 program. The results showed that: (1) there were differences in student learning outcomes between those using computer assisted learning and conventional learning, (2) there were differences in student learning outcomes between those who had high learning motivation with low learning motivation, and (3) there is an interaction between computer assisted learning and learning motivation towards student learning outcomes, which means that students who have high learning motivation will have better learning outcomes than students who have low learning motivation Especially in classes that use computer assisted learning

    AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe 1) Increasing student motivation and learning outcomes towards the application of the snowball throw cooperative learning model to class X students in learning the basics of the accounting expertise program. 2) Increasing motivation and learning outcomes before and after participating in the application of the snowball throw cooperative learning model to increasing motivation and learning outcomes of class X students in learning the basics of the accounting expertise program. 3) Student responses to the application of the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model to increase student motivation and learning outcomes. This study uses a class action research design. This research was conducted in three cycles referring to classroom action research procedures, namely: action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Research data were collected through several instruments: interview guide instruments, observation sheets, written tests, questionnaires and documentation. The subjects of this study were class X students at SMK PGRI 2 Tuban in the academic year 2022/2023, totaling 25 students. The results of the study obtained motivation, namely student learning after the implementation of the snowball throw cooperative learning model experienced an increase in each cycle. In cycle I, the proportion of students\u27 learning motivation was 56% in the moderately motivated category, and increased, in cycle II, the proportion of 80% was in the highly motivated category, and in cycle III, the proportion was 94%, in the category highly motivated. Furthermore, student learning outcomes through the post test scores of cycle I, the proportion of student learning outcomes was 64% in the good category, and increased, in cycle II with the proportion of 84% in the very good category and in cycle III with the proportion of 96% in the very good category. The results of this study indicate that the cooperative learning model of throwing snowballs has increased.     Effect of changes to the formal curriculum on medical students' motivation towards learning: a prospective cohort study

    BACKGROUND: One of the factors known to influence performance in the learning process is student motivation. In turn, students' motivation can be regulated by a large number of variables relating to the individual (such as sex, age and socioeconomic status) or to aspects of the academic life.OBJECTIVE: The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of curriculum changes involving reduction in content overload and increased early exposure to clinical settings, on motivation towards learning among Year 1 medical students. Secondarily, the aim was to ascertain whether this influence on motivation remained stable until the undergraduate program ended (Year 6).DESIGN AND SETTING: Prospective study on two student cohorts at a Brazilian state-owned university.METHODS: Two consecutive student cohorts were assessed: one with a traditional curriculum (n = 87) and the other with a reformed curriculum (n = 63), at the same medical school. Participants in both cohorts gave responses on four scales in Years 1 and 6: the Academic Motivation Scale, containing subscales for autonomous and controlled motivation, and lack of motivation towards learning; Beck's Anxiety and Depression Inventories; Spielberger's State Trait Anxiety Inventory; and the Social Adjustment Scale. In Year 6, 68% of the initial sample (66 students with the traditional curriculum and 36 with the reformed curriculum) was reassessed.RESULTS: No differences between Year 1 cohorts were found regarding demographic and social background, social adjustment, depression or anxiety. Students with the reformed curriculum scored significantly higher regarding autonomous and controlled motivation than those with the traditional curriculum.     Impact of elearning on motivation and critical thinking ability of multimedia major vocational school students

    This article aims to determine the impact of e-learning and students' motivation on students' critical thinking skills. The quantitative approach is to process data and numbers obtained through statistical analysis. Sources of data used in this study are primary data or data obtained directly from respondents. This study aims to examine the effect of the independent variable, namely e-learning (X1), students' learning motivation (X2) on the dependent variable, namely students' critical thinking ability (Y). Researchers took a sample of 118 respondents. Collecting data by giving questionnaires to respondents to all students majoring in multimedia at SMK Ketintang Surabaya. Based on data from the results of research and tests that have been conducted, it can be concluded that: (1) There is a significant contribution between e-learning and students' critical thinking skills. (2) There is a significant contribution between student learning and students' critical thinking skills. (3) There is a significant contribution between e-learning and student learning motivation towards students' critical thinking skills in the SMK Multimedia Expertise Program with a contribution value of 61.3%

    The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and online learning on college stress in accounting students directly and mediated by accounting student motivation. The sampling technique is probability sampling with a simple random sampling as many of as 149 students from the Accounting Study Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS version 3.2.9 was used to analyze the data in this study. The results of this research indicate that: Emotional intelligence and self-efficacy have no impact on college stress and are insignificant; online learning and motivation have a significant effect on college stress; emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and online learning have a significant effect on motivation; motivation can mediate emotional intelligence on college stress; motivation can mediate self-efficacy towards college stress; motivation can mediate online learning against college stress

    Evaluation Policy on Assistance Program Bidikmisi Higher Education in Private Kopertis Region Xii

    One of the governments’ policy through Directoral General of Learning and Student Affair, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in improving the access for new students namely the bidikmisi program. Program bidikmisi is a tuition fee subsidy program allocated to selected new students who possess excellent academic capability yet facing economic difficulties due to poor economical condition parents. bidikmisi program has been conducted annually in order to improve accesses to gain higher education. The purpose of this study is to reveal the impact of bidikmisi extension to the students’ success in terms of student learning interest, learning attitude, motivation and academic achievement. Data collection technique used in this study were descriptive qualitative and quantitative, by spreading questionnaire to bidikmisi receiver which consisted of 246 students of year 2013, 2014 and 2015 on 28 higher education in private under kopertis regional XII. Data analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple regression. The study result indicates that the intrinsic characteristic for admission year of bidikmisi program, gender, age, school origin, area origin, parents’ educational background and parents’ income partially did not influence significantly to students’ attitude and behaviour; however, parents’ occupation gave a real impact towards students’ attitude and behaviour. bidikmisi program management and the characteristic environment of college students partially gave a significant influence to students’ learning interest, learning attitude, motivation in order to attain academic achievement
