Global stability of a Cohen-Grossberg neural network with both time-varying and continuous distributed delays

    Get PDF
In this paper, a generalized neural network of Cohen-Grossberg type with both discrete time-varying and distributed unbounded delays is considered. Based on M-matrix theory, sufficient conditions are established to ensure the existence and global attractivity of an equilibrium point. The global exponential stability of the equilibrium is also addressed, but for the model with bounded discrete time-varying delays. A comparison of results shows that these results generalize and improve some earlier publications.Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT)Universidade do Minho. Centro de Matemática (CMAT

Convergence of asymptotic systems of non-autonomous neural network models with infinite distributed delays

    Get PDF
In this paper we investigate the global convergence of solutions of non-autonomous Hopfield neural network models with discrete time-varying delays, infinite distributed delays, and possible unbounded coefficient functions. Instead of using Lyapunov functionals, we explore intrinsic features between the non-autonomous systems and their asymptotic systems to ensure the boundedness and global convergence of the solutions of the studied models. Our results are new and complement known results in the literature. The theoretical analysis is illustrated with some examples and numerical simulations. The paper was supported by the Research Centre of Mathematics of the University of Minho with the Portuguese Funds from the "Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia", through the Project PEstOE/MAT/UI0013/2014. Synchronization of Chaotic Neural Networks with Leakage Delay and Mixed Time-Varying Delays via Sampled-Data Control

    Get PDF
This paper investigates the synchronization problem for neural networks with leakage delay and both discrete and distributed time-varying delays under sampled-data control. By employing the Lyapunov functional method and using the matrix inequality techniques, a delay-dependent LMIs criterion is given to ensure that the master systems and the slave systems are synchronous. An example with simulations is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed criterion
