    The Country-specific Organizational and Information Architecture of ERP Systems at Globalised Enterprises

    The competition on the market forces companies to adapt to the changing environment. Most recently, the economic and financial crisis has been accelerating the alteration of both business and IT models of enterprises. The forces of globalization and internationalization motivate the restructuring of business processes and consequently IT processes. To depict the changes in a unified framework, we need the concept of Enterprise Architecture as a theoretical approach that deals with various tiers, aspects and views of business processes and different layers of application, software and hardware systems. The paper outlines a wide-range theoretical background for analyzing the re-engineering and re-organization of ERP systems at international or transnational companies in the middle-sized EU member states. The research carried out up to now has unravelled the typical structural changes, the models for internal business networks and their modification that reflect the centralization, decentralization and hybrid approaches.     AUTOMATED PLANNING OF PROCESS MODELS: THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIMPLE MERGES

    Business processes evolve dynamically with changing business demands. Because of these fast changes, traditional process improvement techniques have to be adapted and extended since they often require a high degree of manual work. To reduce this degree of manual work, the automated planning of process models is proposed. In this context, we present a novel approach for an automated construction of the control flow structure simple merge (XOR join). This accounts for a necessary step towards an auto-mated planning of entire process models. Here we build upon a planning domain, which gives us a general and formal basis to apply our approach independently from a specific process modeling lan-guage. To analyze the feasibility of our method, we mathematically evaluate the approach in terms of key properties like termination and completeness. Moreover, we implement the approach in a process planning software and apply it to several real-world processes

    The Deployment of an Enhanced Model-Driven Architecture for Business Process Management

    Business systems these days need to be agile to address the needs of a changing world. Business modelling requires business process management to be highly adaptable with the ability to support dynamic workflows, inter-application integration (potentially between businesses) and process reconfiguration. Designing systems with the in-built ability to cater for evolution is also becoming critical to their success. To handle change, systems need the capability to adapt as and when necessary to changes in users requirements. Allowing systems to be self-describing is one way to facilitate this. Using our implementation of a self-describing system, a so-called description-driven approach, new versions of data structures or processes can be created alongside older versions providing a log of changes to the underlying data schema and enabling the gathering of traceable (provenance) data. The CRISTAL software, which originated at CERN for handling physics data, uses versions of stored descriptions to define versions of data and workflows which can be evolved over time and thereby to handle evolving system needs. It has been customised for use in business applications as the Agilium-NG product.     Design and Programming of 5 Axis Manipulator Robot with GrblGru Open Source Software on Preparing Vocational Students’ Robotic Skills

    The rapid development of technology at the end of this decade, the industrial world is changing the human resources they have using the help of robot technology. The use of a robot was chosen because of the accuracy and precision that it can do in doing the job. In addition, robotic technology requires only one programming to do many things. Thus, there are many advantages for companies by using robotic technology in their production processes. This research aims to designing and building arm robot prototype to teach the robotics programming language. The result of this research is an arm robot prototype with Arduino Mega 2560 based programming. In addition, the robot movement programming uses the open source GrblGru software Grbl based. The GrblGru used for interpreting G-code and to convert pulse and direction information to control the stepper motor. This research concludes that there are 5 importance steps on develop the arm robot prototype, 1. Analyze; 2. Design; 3. Develop; 4. Evaluate; and 5. Implementation. With the GrblGru software the movements of arm robot prototype can work on simulation mode and control mode, there for students easier to study robotics programming language

    World-wide there is a great deal of movement on the market for office buildings. Since the middle of the 1990's, the steady demand-led market for office space has developed in many places to a market for suppliers. A deregulation process has been taking place in Germany for several years in the organisational structure of larger industrial enterprises, supra-regional services and public authorities. A project, or department oriented budgeting of all resources is part of this reorganisation. Above all the optimisation of the utilisation of the working area becomes the centre of a dynamic organisation of the work, as here a considerable potential for improvement can be seen. Assuming adequate space qualities, this can lead to a higher working quality. Information technology is improving software tools and the technical infrastructure for telephone networks with high bandwidths. These and other innovations bring tele-working into the area of a realistic possibility, where teamwork can be organised and carried out through a computer network. A long-proclaimed work paradigm only possible in theory can now become true: 'the office is where you are'. In this way, the requirements of offices, their technical infrastructure and their management models are changing. Harmonised with the working processes of a modern information society, the intelligent planning of flexibly usable buildings, their industrial production, technical adaptability, lifecycle and management processes will become the decisive question for building concepts for the future

    We explore a term, Agile, that is being used in various workplace settings, including the management of universities. The term may have several related but slightly different meanings. Agile is often used in the context of facilitating more creative problem-solving and advocating for the adoption, design, tailoring and continual updating of more innovative organizational processes. We consider a particular set of meanings of the term from the world of software development. Agile methods were created to address certain problems with the software development process. Many of those problems have interesting analogues in the context of universities, so a reflection on agile methods may be a useful heuristic for generating ideas for enabling universities to be more creative
