UTP Knowledge Based Healthcare Information Services
This report is an extension of the proposal that was submitted for approval as a Final
Year Project. It outlines the implementation of UTP Knowledge Based Healthcare
Information Services. UTP Knowledge Based Healthcare Information Services will be
developed to enhance the current system's functionalities and address issues such as
redundancy while providing informative and feedback to system users, who are the staff
of UTP Health Clinic, students and lecturer's, to provide a better standard of clinical
services. Among the benefits attainable by the UTP Health Clinic with the UTP
Knowledge Based Healthcare Information Services are productivity, time savings,
improved quality of care and profitability. For implementation, a basis for literature
review is determined and steps to conduct this scientific research is determined to derive
a hypothesis that builds on the works of others and relating its concepts to implement
UTP Knowledge Based Healthcare Information Services. The methodology of the project
is discussed where a complete research of the component-based software engineering
research is done based on the UTP Knowledge Based Healthcare Information Services
case. Finally, the purpose of gathering data together with its conclusions and
recommendations are briefly described in this report
Integration of Workflow Process in Managing Leave and Training Application in UTP
This document provides a report for final year project of IT/ IS students. The purpose of
this report is to provide further information on research topic to allow and ensure smooth
development inthis project. The propose project is called Automated Leave and Training
Management System (ALTMS), where it will determine an important issues and
requirement in developing ALTMS. Automated Leave and Training Management System
(ALTMS) is automated web application in managing leave and training application of
UTP staff. The scope of the study will be to design a system process based on current
manual procedures to be fully automated and implemented with minimum human
assistant. This is due to the current system that is still depending on manual system
which may cause difficulties in workflow process. This document also gives further
information about the system in the literature review/theory section, which is the main
supporting information that comes from the previous research by an expert in this field.
Those researches are useful as a reference and guideline in developing ALTMS. The
most suitable methodology would be the communication-based methodologies of process
modeling methodology which is Preparation, Negotiation, Performance and Acceptanc
Automation: Handwriting Recognition for Data Entry
The purpose of this report is to present the research and descriptions of project
"Automation: Handwriting Recognition for Data Entry". The objective ofthis project is
to automate the process ofhandwriting recognition for data entry. The automated process
will have the data automatically loaded and automatically located for the next step to take
place. The research and development in this project consisted of designing a platform for
examination booklet, finding a suitable circuit to control the platform from
microcontroller, establishing a serial communication between microcontroller and
personal computer, and also finding a suitable method as a means to determine the
correct location of the data sheet. This report is divided into four main parts which are
introduction, literature review, methodology and results and discussions. Introduction
will cover a brief description of background study, problem statement and objectives as
well as scope of study. The literature review will cover all findings and supporting
information just as the name. Methodology will revolve around procedure identification
and tool required in this project. Results and discussions will present some research,
progress and test conducted during the time period. In this project, an automated platform
which was controlled via RS232 on the Personal Computer was developed. The
positioning ofthe examination booklet was determined based on the location ofUTP oval
logo viewed from the first webcam and by utilizing Normalized Cross Correlation
method for the secondary program (ICDE) to take place
