    Remote Controlled Home Automation Using Android Application via WiFi Connectivity

    Today is a world of advanced ubiquitous mobile applications which are used exhaustively to save time and energy. These applications ease day-to-day life of a common man. Based on these technologies and applications we designed a Home Automation System. In this paper, we propose design and prototype implementation of home automation system that uses Wi-Fi technology and Android operating system. An attractive market for Home Automation System is for busy families and individuals with physical limitations. Users can control electrical appliances in home or office via smart phone. Application will also provide secure notifications and alarm for Burglary, fire hazards and LPG leakage.This project aims at controlling every happening at home or office on your fingers.     Internet of Things (IoT) conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects (things) through the Internet [1]. When it comes to our house, this concept can be aptly incorporated to make it smarter, safer and automated. Thi s IoT project focuses on building a smart wireless home security system which sends alerts to the owner by using Internet in case of any trespass and raises an alarm optionally. The main idea for the use of home security system is for the comfortab le living and it has also changed since the past decade as wireless technologies digital, vision are implemented. In the present world Internet plays a major role in every field, so the idea of integrating sensors technology along with an IoT environment could be helpful to resolve the security issues and the major problems of society to a very great extent. The drawbacks of existing technologies would be mainly cost and range. In this paper a perfect implementation and the complete design of sensor based smart security system with an IoT environment is been presented, which for sure resolves various security issues like fire detection in the places, unauthorized intruder entry and many. Therefore by the use of it continuous monitoring of the home or apartment or any locations can be possible. The system is much cost effective, has low power consumption and much reliable compared to the existing one

    dWatch: a Personal Wrist Watch for Smart Environments

    Intelligent environments, such as smart homes or domotic systems, have the potential to support people in many of their ordinary activities, by allowing complex control strategies for managing various capabilities of a house or a building: lights, doors, temperature, power and energy, music, etc. Such environments, typically, provide these control strategies by means of computers, touch screen panels, mobile phones, tablets, or In-House Displays. An unobtrusive and typically wearable device, like a bracelet or a wrist watch, that lets users perform various operations in their homes and to receive notifications from the environment, could strenghten the interaction with such systems, in particular for those people not accustomed to computer systems (e.g., elderly) or in contexts where they are not in front of a screen. Moreover, such wearable devices reduce the technological gap introduced in the environment by home automation systems, thus permitting a higher level of acceptance in the daily activities and improving the interaction between the environment and its inhabitants.
