Network simulation using the simulation language for alternate modeling (SLAM 2)
The simulation language for alternate modeling (SLAM 2) is a general purpose language that combines network, discrete event, and continuous modeling capabilities in a single language system. The efficacy of the system's network modeling is examined and discussed. Examples are given of the symbolism that is used, and an example problem and model are derived. The results are discussed in terms of the ease of programming, special features, and system limitations. The system offers many features which allow rapid model development and provides an informative standardized output. The system also has limitations which may cause undetected errors and misleading reports unless the user is aware of these programming characteristics
Distributed object-oriented discrete event simulation
This paper presents criteria for an \u27ideal\u27 simulation language, compares four traditional simulation languages to this ideal and concludes that an object-oriented approach to simulation comes closer to the ideal than the traditional procedural approach. It also examines how the object-oriented approach can be very beneficial for distributing a simulation problem among several machines. A distributed object-oriented package is described and a manufacturing example written and explained using this package
A Comprehensive Guide to Industrial Engineering Computer Software at Florida Technological University
The purpose of this manual is to provide a guide to Florida Technological University Computer Center programs which are commonly used for Industrial Engineering analysis. The user need not have extensive prior knowledge of computers to use this manual but an adequate understanding of the applied engineering techniques is recommended
Otomatikleştirilmiş rehberli araç sistemlerinin transport tekniğinde modellemesi
The study objectives are to 1) provide information regarding the use and benefits of Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems in manufacturing environments, and 2) review the literature related to design, modeling and simulation of AGV systems. We classify the tools utilized in design problems of AGV systems as analytical and simulation-based tools.

Automatic programming of simulation models
The concepts of software engineering were used to improve the simulation modeling environment. Emphasis was placed on the application of an element of rapid prototyping, or automatic programming, to assist the modeler define the problem specification. Then, once the problem specification has been defined, an automatic code generator is used to write the simulation code. The following two domains were selected for evaluating the concepts of software engineering for discrete event simulation: manufacturing domain and a spacecraft countdown network sequence. The specific tasks were to: (1) define the software requirements for a graphical user interface to the Automatic Manufacturing Programming System (AMPS) system; (2) develop a graphical user interface for AMPS; and (3) compare the AMPS graphical interface with the AMPS interactive user interface
