    Employment services and active labor market programs in Eastern European and Central Asian countries

    The objective of this paper is to look at employment services and labor market policies in the transition countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and identify key benefits and constraints of active labor market programs, as well as the main characteristics and features of successful policy interventions. Various policy options are discussed on how to enhance public employment services but also private employment agencies which might be relevant to and suitable for the countries in the region given their macroeconomic and labor market situation. Overall, this report recommends that greater resources will be needed for active labor market programs (ALMPs) in the future. However, the emphasis should be put on improving the design and effectiveness of ALMPs, rather than on increasing spending levels only.Labor Markets,Labor Policies,Markets and Market Access,Labor Management and Relations,Population Policies

    Enterprise and entrepreneurship education: Towards a comparative analysis

    Purpose - This paper states the case for adopting a comparative method of analysis to the study of enterprise education. Adopting a comparative approach can provide fresh insights and opportunities for researching from different perspectives. It develops understanding of the concept by reexamining its origins and history. By default its purpose, development operation and rationale are also briefly discussed through reference to literature and policy. Design/methodology/approach - This paper draws on the literature around enterprise and entrepreneurship education. It argues that comparative analysis of enterprise education is an important methodological tool that can enrich, deepen and inform research processes, findings and outcomes. Comparative analysis can take a number of forms and can include within country, cross-country, historical, temporal, longitudinal, spatial, pedagogical, policy or other types of comparison. Findings - This paper unpacks and teases out some of the points of difference and similarity between enterprise education concepts, policies and practices; and the way they are introduced to, applied and operate in different contexts. The main focus and point for comparison is the UK. Enterprise education is distinct from and should not be confused with business and economics. Teacher training in the techniques of enterprise education and resources designed to suit social and cultural requirements is crucial to achieve successful project outcomes. Originality/value - The comparative analysis of enterprise education programmes and policies advocated here adds value and provides additional insight to these concepts and practices

We are talking about All-Ukrainian business-tournament “Strategy of Firm”, which open opportunities for mass entrepreneurship education for young 13-17 years old.     This report analyzes and makes recommendations regarding three related documents: the Draft Model Regulation on Legal Clinic of a Higher Educational Institution as posted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science on April 19, 2017 (hereafter Regulation); the Standards for Legal Clinics Functioning in Ukraine developed by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine (hereafter Standards); and an instrument to monitor law school clinics being developed by the Association (hereafter Monitoring Instrument). The report also makes recommendations about how the Association Legal Clinics of Ukraine (hereafter ALCU or Association) might be strengthened to enhance its impact in building strong clinical legal education programs in Ukraine, both for the value of legal experiential education itself and for the role that clinical education may play in legal education reform

To meet the current challenges in healthcare, it is crucial to employ innovative pedagogical approaches. These approaches include the integration of virtual reality simulations, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, utilizing real-world case studies, implementing telehealth platforms, and establishing mentorship programs. Addressing this need for forward-thinking nursing administrators is imperative. Aim: This study comprehensively examines the impact of these innovative strategies on nursing administration education. It assesses how their integration enhances decision-making, communication, strategic thinking, technological proficiency, and leadership skills among students. The goal is to illuminate the potential of these approaches in molding skilled healthcare leaders. Method: A mixed-methods approach is utilized. Qualitative interviews with nursing administration students exposed to innovative approaches provide insights. Thematic analysis is employed to extract meaningful patterns, capturing both subjective experiences and skill development outcomes. Results: Findings highlight the transformative potential of innovative approaches in nursing administration education. Virtual reality simulations enhance decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration fosters effective communication and teamwork, real-world case studies cultivate strategic thinking, telehealth platforms enhance remote service proficiency, and mentorship programs empower leadership competencies. Conclusion: This study underscores the pivotal role of innovation in shaping adept nursing administrators. Integration of innovative approaches equips healthcare leaders with holistic perspectives, adaptable skills, and technological readiness. As healthcare systems evolve, these approaches offer promise for addressing challenges effectively. Innovative Contribution: By delving into cutting-edge nursing administration education, this study offers insights that reshape healthcare leadership.
