Semantic web for next generation of e-commerce
Web technology left a significant impact for business transaction. The role of buyers and vendors has been replaced by informative websites where the available information of products and services could improve supply chain and delivery
cycles. As the market segment grows, the need of having organized and thoughtful web content is increasing.Search functions using keyword-based search are known for its inability for the machine to interpret different terminology with the same meaning.Information needs to be structured for parametric search to locate products with certain combination of traits.Ontology is the solution to structure semantic of product data.It allows computer to process content with meaning for human based consensual terminologies.Ontology provides a shared platform and common understanding of a domain that can be communicated between user and application systems. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the importance of exploiting ontology based e-commerce for Semantic Web. The ontology is mediator for software agents to communicate and exchange data. These agents can search products with certain traits, negotiate products or
automatically configure product or services according to the required specifications. The semantic combination of product data elevate full potential of e-commerce and development of many specialized reasoning services bring full power of Semantic Web Based E-Commerce
Semantic web service offer discovery for e-commerce
Semantic Web Services (SWS) are an important part of the Semantic Web, traditionally focused on discovery and composition of e-services. In the area of e-commerce services, it is necessary to go past the granularity of service discovery and also to consider discovering the actual offers provided by a service. Nevertheless, Semantic Web Services research has only recently started to consider offer discovery. In this paper, we present a solution for offer discovery that uses WSMO-Lite, the new lightweight semantic Web service annotation framework
e-Commerce Ontology Web (e-COW)
The objective of "e-Commerce Ontology Web" (e-COW) is to implement the
ontology concept and semantic web in knowledge management to improve business
operation in organization. Generally, current problem of e-commerce system is
searching information is very difficult and sometimes may miss relevant information
especially details for certain products. Furthermore, human browsing and reading
required to extract relevant information from information sources. The semantic web
deals with important application areas such as knowledge management and
electronic commerce (both B2C and B2B). It may help to overcome many of the
current bottlenecks in these areas. In feasibility study, it helps author in identifying
the framework of semantic web and ontology development process. The important
feature ofthe e-COW is retrieving information based on the class and attributes of
data intree views, and advance search using ontology agents. Inaddition the system
will display products details in meaningful and organized which can help users to
understand easily. With development of many knowledge management systems
today, it shows that the knowledge management is very important especially to
organization. As a result, we know ontology has become important concept in
knowledge management especially for managing and organizing information and
data
A Semantic DOM Approach For Webpage Information Extraction
With the development of electronic technology and e-commerce, technology for Web pages has attracted a lot of research efforts which becomes one of the hottest topics recently. This paper has proposed a semantic DOM (SDOM) approach for information extraction of e-commerce Web pages. With the combination of content and structure information, the precision and recall can achieve a good result which is shown in our experiments on listpage and tablepage data sets.published_or_final_versio
Design of a trust system for e-commerce platforms based on quality dimensions for linked open datasets
This article describes a proposal about a trust system for e-commerce platform based on semantic web technologies and trust dimensions rules. We try to expose a system that allow to manage communication processes between e-commerce platforms and users in a trustworthy manner. It allows the data flows and transactions gain more trust across the entire process. All of this can be achieved through the inference of rules exposed in the defined ontology, complemented by a cloud-based system with microservices architecture. With the implementation of the system through an e-commerce platform, could consume data from the microservices in order to get inferences about its clients that want to buy or sell something within its system. This system was created based on rules defined by the ontology, as well as the microservices could be used to register information about multiple e-commerce transactions. The result of this work is the Ontology and semantic web rules defined and implemented through protege.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Building a Semantic Tendering System
In the new B2B e-commerce arena, applications such as auctions and data exchange are growing rapidly. However, Web content is currently designed for human consumption rather than computer manipulation. This limits the possibility of Web automation. Fortunately, the new development of the Semantic Web that allows Web pages to provide information not only in terms of their content, but also in terms of the properties of that content, can be used for automation. Electronic tendering systems are among the successfully commercial systems that can tremendously benefit from the availability of Semantic Web. This study proposes an e-tendering system that uses the Semantic Web to investigate the automatic negotiation process. The system is built in a P2P environment to simulate a two-player negotiation. It is found that the ontology of semantic information can be used to locate qualified suppliers and precede negotiation. The bargaining power of each party is then determined by the relative magnitude of the negotiators’ respective costs of haggling and the utility that varies with the degree of risk preference. Our experiments showed that applying automatic negotiation strategies to e-tendering system in semantic web can reflect the risk preference of the participants
Kata Kunci : shdm, hyperde, semantic web, ecommerceABSTRACT: Semantic Web is increasingly being used for supporting the communication with other websites with semantic meaning described. However, the system analyst should consider other functionality on the website such as navigation. One method of designing semantic web application that also focuses in designing navigation, namely the Semantic Hypermedia Design Method (SHDM).E-commerce applications requiring good navigation so that users can make purchases and provide benefits for the owner. On the other hand, if the application of e-commerce has semantic meaning and can be connected with other websites that will give an advantage for every stakeholder. Therefore, we built a test by implementing SHDM to build e-commerce website.Implementation done using HyperDE, which is a purpose built environment to implement SHDM. Testing method to test the quality of navigation is the Mean Opinion Score, that judge subjectively. Meanwhile, to test the semantics of a website, we do queries to RDF data. The results of the testing, navigation of the website is quite good while the semantics of the website is also generated well.Keyword: shdm, hyperde, semantic web, ecommerc
Business integration models in the context of web services.
E-commerce development and applications have
been bringing the Internet to business and marketing
and reforming our current business styles and
processes. The rapid development of the Web, in
particular, the introduction of the semantic web and
web service technologies, enables business
processes, modeling and management to enter an
entirely new stage. Traditional web based business
data and transactions can now be analyzed,
extracted and modeled to discover new business
rules and to form new business strategies, let alone
mining the business data in order to classify
customers or products. In this paper, we investigate
and analyze the business integration models in the
context of web services using a micro-payment
system because a micro-payment system is
considered to be a service intensive activity, where
many payment tasks involve different forms of
services, such as payment method selection for
buyers, security support software, product price
comparison, etc. We will use the micro-payment case
to discuss and illustrate how the web services
approaches support and transform the business
process and integration model.
