Perspectives of Integrated “Next Industrial Revolution” Clusters in Poland and Siberia

Sokołowicz.The paper presents the mapping of potential next industrial revolution clusters in Poland and Siberia. Deindustrialization of the cities and struggles with its consequences are one of the fundamental economic problems in current global economy. Some hope to find an answer to that problem is associated with the idea of next industrial revolution and reindustrialization initiatives. In the paper, projects aimed at developing next industrial revolution clusters are analyzed. Development of an Extended Product Lifecycle Management through Service Oriented Architecture.

Lifecycle Management (ExtPLM), analysing its potential implementation within a Service Oriented
Architecture. ExtPLM merges the concepts of Extended Product, Avatar and PLM. It aims at allowing a
closer interaction between enterprises and their customers, who are integrated in all phases of the life cycle,
creating new technical functionalities and services, improving both the practical (e.g. improving usage,
improving safety, allowing predictive maintenance) and the emotional side (e.g. extreme customization) of

Engineering of next generation cyber-physical automation system architectures
Cyber-Physical-Systems (CPS) enable flexible and reconfigurable realization
of automation system architectures, utilizing distributed control architectures
with non-hierarchical modules linked together through different communication
systems. Several control system architectures have been developed and validated in
the past years by research groups. However, there is still a lack of implementation
in industry. The intention of this work is to provide a summary of current alternative
control system architectures that could be applied in industrial automation domain
as well as a review of their commonalities. The aim is to point out the differences
between the traditional centralized and hierarchical architectures to discussed ones,
which rely on decentralized decision-making and control. Challenges and impacts
that industries and engineers face in the process of adopting decentralized control
architectures are discussed, analysing the obstacles for industrial acceptance and the
new necessary interdisciplinary engineering skills. Finally, an outlook of possible
mitigation and migration actions required to implement the decentralized control

Cyber-physical systems (CPS) in supply chain management: From foundations to practical implementation
Since 2015 developments such as Industry 4.0 and cyber-physical production systems on the technology side, and approaches such as flexible and smart manufacturing systems hold great potential. These in turn give rise to special requirements that the production planning, control and monitoring, among others, needing a paradigm shift to exploit the full potential of these methods and techniques. Starting from foundations in Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), building upon definitions and findings reported by literature, a practical example of innovative Cyber Physical Supply Chain Planning System (CPS2) is provided. The paper clarifies the advantages of cyber-physical systems in the production planning, controlling and monitoring perspective with respect to manufacturing, logistics and related planning practices. A set of basic features of CPS2 systems are discussed and addressed by contextualizing service orientation architecture and microservices components with respect to supply chain management collaboration and cooperation practices. The identification of specific technologies behind those functions, within the developed research, provides some practical insight if the interesting CPS2 potential
A Framework for Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)-Based IoT Application Development

Factories are using multiple Internet of Things (IoT) platforms to harvest sensor information to improve production. Such a transformation contributes to efficiency growth and reduced production costs. To deal with the heterogeneity of the services within an IoT system, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is referred to in the literature as being advantageous for the design and development of software to support IoT-based production processes.The aim of SOA-based design is to provide the leverage to use and reuse loosely coupled IoT services at the middleware layer to minimise system integration problems. We propose a system architecture that follows the SOA architectural pattern and enables developers and business process designers to dynamically add, query or use instances of existing modular software in the IoT context.
