New sufficient criteria for global robust stability of neural networks with multiple time delays

    Get PDF
In this paper, we study global robust asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point for neural networks with multiple time delays. By employing suitable Lyapunov functionals, we derive a set of delay independent sufficient conditions for global robust asymptotic stability of this class of neural networks. Some examples are constructed to compare the reported results with the related existing results. This comparison proves that our results establish a new set of robust stability criteria for delayed neural networks. It is also demonstrated that the reported results can be easily verified as they can be expressed in terms of the network parameters only.Publisher's Versio

General criteria for asymptotic and exponential stabilities of neural network models with unbounded delays

    Get PDF
For a family of differential equations with infinite delay, we give sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic, and global exponential stability of an equilibrium point. This family includes most of the delayed models of neural networks of Cohen-Grossberg type, with both bounded and unbounded distributed delay, for which general asymptotic and exponential stability criteria are derived. As illustrations, the results are applied to several concrete models studied in the literature, and a comparison of results is given.Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) - 2009-ISFL-1-209Universidade do Minho. Mean almost periodicity and moment exponential stability of discrete-time stochastic shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with time delays

summary:By using the semi-discrete method of differential equations, a new version of discrete analogue of stochastic shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks (SICNNs) is formulated, which gives a more accurate characterization for continuous-time stochastic SICNNs than that by Euler scheme. Firstly, the existence of the 2th mean almost periodic sequence solution of the discrete-time stochastic SICNNs is investigated with the help of Minkowski inequality, Hölder inequality and Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem. Secondly, the moment global exponential stability of the discrete-time stochastic SICNNs is also studied by using some analytical skills and the proof of contradiction. Finally, two examples are given to demonstrate that our results are feasible. By numerical simulations, we discuss the effect of stochastic perturbation on the almost periodicity and global exponential stability of the discrete-time stochastic SICNNs

ψ-type stability of reaction–diffusion neural networks with time-varying discrete delays and bounded distributed delays

    Get PDF
In this paper, the ψ-type stability and robust ψ-type stability for reaction–diffusion neural networks (RDNNs) with Dirichlet boundary conditions, time-varying discrete delays and bounded distributed delays are investigated, respectively. Firstly, we analyze the ψ-type stability and robust ψ-type stability of RDNNs with time-varying discrete delays by means of ψ-type functions combined with some inequality techniques, and put forward several ψ-type stability criteria for the considered networks. Additionally, the models of RDNNs with bounded distributed delays are established and some sufficient conditions to guarantee the ψ-type stability and robust ψ-type stability are given. Lastly, two examples are provided to confirm the effectiveness of the derived results

New Results for Periodic Solution of High-Order BAM Neural Networks with Continuously Distributed Delays and Impulses

    Get PDF
By M-matrix theory, inequality techniques, and Lyapunov functional method, certain sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness, and global exponential stability of periodic solution for a new type of high-order BAM neural networks with continuously distributed delays and impulses. These novel conditions extend and improve some previously known results in the literature. Finally, an illustrative example and its numerical simulation are given to show the feasibility and correctness of the derived criteria

Existence and Exponential Stability of Equilibrium Point for Fuzzy BAM Neural Networks with Infinitely Distributed Delays and Impulses on Time Scales

    Get PDF
By using the fixed point theorem and constructing a Lyapunov functional, we establish some sufficient conditions on the existence, uniqueness, and exponential stability of equilibrium point for a class of fuzzy BAM neural networks with infinitely distributed delays and impulses on time scales. We also present a numerical example to show the feasibility of obtained results. Our example also shows that the described time and continuous neural time networks have the same dynamic behaviours for the stability

    Robust Stabilization and H

This paper is concerned with the problem of robust stabilization and H∞ control for a class of uncertain neural networks. For the robust stabilization problem, sufficient conditions are derived based on the quadratic convex combination property together with Lyapunov stability theory. The feedback controller we design ensures the robust stability of uncertain neural networks with mixed time delays. We further design a robust H∞ controller which guarantees the robust stability of the uncertain neural networks with a given H∞ performance level. The delay-dependent criteria are derived in terms of LMI (linear matrix inequality). Finally, numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained results
