Cloud Service Selection System Approach based on QoS Model: A Systematic Review
The Internet of Things (IoT) has received a lot of interest from researchers recently. IoT is seen as a component of the Internet of Things, which will include billions of intelligent, talkative "things" in the coming decades. IoT is a diverse, multi-layer, wide-area network composed of a number of network links. The detection of services and on-demand supply are difficult in such networks, which are comprised of a variety of resource-limited devices. The growth of service computing-related fields will be aided by the development of new IoT services. Therefore, Cloud service composition provides significant services by integrating the single services. Because of the fast spread of cloud services and their different Quality of Service (QoS), identifying necessary tasks and putting together a service model that includes specific performance assurances has become a major technological problem that has caused widespread concern. Various strategies are used in the composition of services i.e., Clustering, Fuzzy, Deep Learning, Particle Swarm Optimization, Cuckoo Search Algorithm and so on. Researchers have made significant efforts in this field, and computational intelligence approaches are thought to be useful in tackling such challenges. Even though, no systematic research on this topic has been done with specific attention to computational intelligence. Therefore, this publication provides a thorough overview of QoS-aware web service composition, with QoS models and approaches to finding future aspects
Hybrid feature selection based on principal component analysis and grey wolf optimizer algorithm for Arabic news article classification
The rapid growth of electronic documents has resulted from the expansion and development of internet technologies. Text-documents classification is a key task in natural language processing that converts unstructured data into structured form and then extract knowledge from it. This conversion generates a high dimensional data that needs further analusis using data mining techniques like feature extraction, feature selection, and classification to derive meaningful insights from the data. Feature selection is a technique used for reducing dimensionality in order to prune the feature space and, as a result, lowering the computational cost and enhancing classification accuracy. This work presents a hybrid filter-wrapper method based on Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as a filter approach to select an appropriate and informative subset of features and Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) as wrapper approach (PCA-GWO) to select further informative features. Logistic Regression (LR) is used as an elevator to test the classification accuracy of candidate feature subsets produced by GWO. Three Arabic datasets, namely Alkhaleej, Akhbarona, and Arabiya, are used to assess the efficiency of the proposed method. The experimental results confirm that the proposed method based on PCA-GWO outperforms the baseline classifiers with/without feature selection and other feature selection approaches in terms of classification accuracy
Performance Evaluation of an Intelligent and Optimized Machine Learning Framework for Attack Detection
In current decades, the size and complexity of network traffic data have risen significantly, which increases the likelihood of network penetration. One of today's largest advanced security concerns is the botnet. They are the mechanisms behind several online assaults, including Distribute Denial of Service (DDoS), spams, rebate fraudulence, phishing as well as malware attacks. Several methodologies have been created over time to address these issues. Existing intrusion detection techniques have trouble in processing data from speedy networks and are unable to identify recently launched assaults. Ineffective network traffic categorization has been slowed down by repetitive and pointless characteristics. By identifying the critical attributes and removing the unimportant ones using a feature selection approach could indeed reduce the feature space dimensionality and resolve the problem. Therefore, this articledevelops aninnovative network attack recognitionmodel combining an optimization strategy with machine learning framework namely, Grey Wolf with Artificial Bee Colony optimization-based Support Vector Machine (GWABC-SVM) model. The efficient selection of attributes is accomplished using a novel Grey wolf with artificial bee colony optimization approach and finally the Botnet DDoS attack detection is accomplished through Support Vector machine. This articleconducted an experimental assessment of the machine learning approachesfor UNBS-NB 15 and KDD99 databases for Botnet DDoS attack identification. The proposed optimized machine learning (ML) based network attack detection framework is evaluated in the last phase for its effectiveness in detecting the possible threats. The main advantage of employing SVM is that it offers a wide range of possibilities for intrusion detection program development for difficult complicated situations like cloud computing. In comparison to conventional ML-based models, the suggested technique has a better detection rate of 99.62% and is less time-consuming and robust
Load Frequency Control (LFC) Strategies in Renewable Energy‐Based Hybrid Power Systems:A Review
The hybrid power system is a combination of renewable energy power plants and conventional energy power plants. This integration causes power quality issues including poor settling times and higher transient contents. The main issue of such interconnection is the frequency variations caused in the hybrid power system. Load Frequency Controller (LFC) design ensures the reliable and efficient operation of the power system. The main function of LFC is to maintain the system frequency within safe limits, hence keeping power at a specific range. An LFC should be supported with modern and intelligent control structures for providing the adequate power to the system. This paper presents a comprehensive review of several LFC structures in a diverse configuration of a power system. First of all, an overview of a renewable energy-based power system is provided with a need for the development of LFC. The basic operation was studied in single-area, multi-area and multi-stage power system configurations. Types of controllers developed on different techniques studied with an overview of different control techniques were utilized. The comparative analysis of various controllers and strategies was performed graphically. The future scope of work provided lists the potential areas for conducting further research. Finally, the paper concludes by emphasizing the need for better LFC design in complex power system environments
Recent techniques used in home energy management systems: a review
Power systems are going through a transition period. Consumers want more active participation in electric system management, namely assuming the role of producers–consumers, prosumers in short. The prosumers’ energy production is heavily based on renewable energy sources, which, besides recognized environmental benefits, entails energy management challenges. For instance, energy consumption of appliances in a home can lead to misleading patterns. Another challenge is related to energy costs since inefficient systems or unbalanced energy control may represent economic loss to the prosumer. The so-called home energy management systems (HEMS) emerge as a solution. When well-designed HEMS allow prosumers to reach higher levels of energy management, this ensures optimal management of assets and appliances. This paper aims to present a comprehensive systematic review of the literature on optimization techniques recently used in the development of HEMS, also taking into account the key factors that can influence the development of HEMS at a technical and computational level. The systematic review covers the period 2018–2021. As a result of the review, the major developments in the field of HEMS in recent years are presented in an integrated manner. In addition, the techniques are divided into four broad categories: traditional techniques, model predictive control, heuristics and metaheuristics, and other techniques.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Artificial intelligence techniques have grown rapidly in recent years, and their applications in practice can be seen in many fields, ranging from facial recognition to image analysis. In the cybersecurity domain, AI-based techniques can provide better cyber defense tools and help adversaries improve methods of attack. However, malicious actors are aware of the new prospects too and will probably attempt to use them for nefarious purposes. This survey paper aims at providing an overview of how artificial intelligence can be used in the context of cybersecurity in both offense and defense.Web of Science123art. no. 41
A Comprehensive Review of Bio-Inspired Optimization Algorithms Including Applications in Microelectronics and Nanophotonics
The application of artificial intelligence in everyday life is becoming all-pervasive and unavoidable. Within that vast field, a special place belongs to biomimetic/bio-inspired algorithms for multiparameter optimization, which find their use in a large number of areas. Novel methods and advances are being published at an accelerated pace. Because of that, in spite of the fact that there are a lot of surveys and reviews in the field, they quickly become dated. Thus, it is of importance to keep pace with the current developments. In this review, we first consider a possible classification of bio-inspired multiparameter optimization methods because papers dedicated to that area are relatively scarce and often contradictory. We proceed by describing in some detail some more prominent approaches, as well as those most recently published. Finally, we consider the use of biomimetic algorithms in two related wide fields, namely microelectronics (including circuit design optimization) and nanophotonics (including inverse design of structures such as photonic crystals, nanoplasmonic configurations and metamaterials). We attempted to keep this broad survey self-contained so it can be of use not only to scholars in the related fields, but also to all those interested in the latest developments in this attractive area
Performance Analysis of Different Optimization Algorithms for Multi-Class Object Detection
Object recognition is a significant approach employed for recognizing suitable objects from the image. Various improvements, particularly in computer vision, are probable to diagnose highly difficult tasks with the assistance of local feature detection methodologies. Detecting multi-class objects is quite challenging, and many existing researches have worked to enhance the overall accuracy. But because of certain limitations like higher network loss, degraded training ability, improper consideration of features, less convergent and so on. The proposed research introduced a hybrid convolutional neural network (H-CNN) approach to overcome these drawbacks. The collected input images are pre-processed initially through Gaussian filtering to eradicate the noise and enhance the image quality. Followed by image pre-processing, the objects present in the images are localized using Grid Guided Localization (GGL). The effective features are extracted from the localized objects using the AlexNet model. Different objects are classified by replacing the concluding softmax layer of AlexNet with Support Vector Regression (SVR) model. The losses present in the network model are optimized using the Improved Grey Wolf (IGW) optimization procedure. The performances of the proposed model are analyzed using PYTHON. Various datasets are employed, including MIT-67, PASCAL VOC2010, Microsoft (MS)-COCO and MSRC. The performances are analyzed by varying the loss optimization algorithms like improved Particle Swarm Optimization (IPSO), improved Genetic Algorithm (IGA), and improved dragon fly algorithm (IDFA), improved simulated annealing algorithm (ISAA) and improved bacterial foraging algorithm (IBFA), to choose the best algorithm. The proposed accuracy outcomes are attained as PASCAL VOC2010 (95.04%), MIT-67 dataset (96.02%), MSRC (97.37%), and MS COCO (94.53%), respectively
