WEB MINING IN E-COMMERCE
Recently, the web is becoming an important part of people’s life. The web is a very good place to run successful businesses. Selling products or services online plays an important role in the success of businesses that have a physical presence, like a reE-Commerce, Data mining, Web mining
An Approach to Recommend Pages to User after Path Completion
With the huge amount of data available on the web, the effective and timely search is most important aspects. Because of tremendous USAge of web the size of the log files are becoming huge day by day. Web Mining which is an application of data mining can be used to improve web performance by generating patterns in the log files. Web Pre-fetching based on recommendation can be used to improve web performance. This paper proposes an architecture that recommends pages to the user based on studying the browsing activity of the user and other user of same USAge profile and completing it in every aspects and then recommending the pages which can be pre-fetched to improve web performance. This paper proposes about the path completion which shows users interest and then recommending pages to the user which will result in effective recommendation
Investigation of Heterogeneous Approach to Fact Invention of Web Users’ Web Access Behaviour
World Wide Web consists of a huge volume of different types of data. Web mining is one of the fields of data mining wherein there are different web services and a large number of web users. Web user mining is also one of the fields of web mining. The web users’ information about the web access is collected through different ways. The most common technique to collect information about the web users is through web log file. There are several other techniques available to collect web users’ web access information; they are through browser agent, user authentication, web review, web rating, web ranking and tracking cookies. The web users find it difficult to retrieve their required information in time from the web because of the huge volume of unstructured and structured information which increases the complexity of the web. Web usage mining is very much important for various purposes such as organizing website, business and maintenance service, personalization of website and reducing the network bandwidth. This paper provides an analysis about the web usage mining techniques. Â
A Survey on Web Usage Mining
Now a day World Wide Web become very popular and interactive for transferring of information. The web is huge, diverse and active and thus increases the scalability, multimedia data and temporal matters. The growth of the web has outcome in a huge amount of information that is now freely offered for user access. The several kinds of data have to be handled and organized in a manner that they can be accessed by several users effectively and efficiently. So the usage of data mining methods and knowledge discovery on the web is now on the spotlight of a boosting number of researchers. Web usage mining is a kind of data mining method that can be useful in recommending the web usage patterns with the help of users2019; session and behavior. Web usage mining includes three process, namely, preprocessing, pattern discovery and pattern analysis. There are different techniques already exists for web usage mining. Those existing techniques have their own advantages and disadvantages. This paper presents a survey on some of the existing web usage mining techniques

Design and Implementation of a Web Usage Mining Model Based On Upgrowth and Preflxspan
Web Usage Mining (WUM) integrates the techniques of two popular research fields - Data Mining and the Internet. By analyzing the potential rules hidden in web logs, WUM helps personalize the delivery of web content and improve web design, customer satisfaction and user navigation through pre-fetching and caching. This paper introduces two prevalent data mining algorithms - FPgrowth and PrefixSpan into WUM and they are applied in a real business case. Maximum Forward Path (MFP) is also used in the web usage mining model during sequential pattern mining along with PrefixSpan so as to reduce the interference of false visit caused by browser cache and raise the accuracy of mining frequent traversal paths. Detailed analysis and application on the corresponding results are discussed
Routes for breaching and protecting genetic privacy
We are entering the era of ubiquitous genetic information for research,
clinical care, and personal curiosity. Sharing these datasets is vital for
rapid progress in understanding the genetic basis of human diseases. However,
one growing concern is the ability to protect the genetic privacy of the data
originators. Here, we technically map threats to genetic privacy and discuss
potential mitigation strategies for privacy-preserving dissemination of genetic
data.Comment: Draft for comment
