Social dynamics is a social networking service that allows users to input updates including letters, pictures, videos and share them with their social friends. Previous research mainly focus on the application of dynamic messages in the fields of communication science and economics. Based on impression management theory, this paper studies the influencing factors of users\u27 dynamic message deleting intention on social networks. The results show that impression management performance and social network fatigue significantly affect user\u27s intention to delete the dynamic messages. While message sender factors, such as self-monitoring, interpersonal interaction and image promotion; social platform factors such as information overload and social overload, indirectly influence the deleting intention through intermediary variables. This paper makes up for the lack of relevant empirical research, making users more social flexibility and effectiveness, thereby enhancing social validity, and have some practical implications for social networking services platforms

WeChat has been integrated into the daily lives of Chinese people, including travel. This study adopts affordance theory to examine the influences of affordances and constraints on users’ usage of travel-related WeChat mini programs. We plan to conduct a survey of users who have used at least one travel-related mini program. We hope this research can provide both theoretical implications to tourism literature and practical implications for tourism service providers as well as designers of travelrelated mini programs

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a prominent public issue, particularly in China, where the government has announced plans to turn the country into a global AI power. This study analyses public discourse about AI in China through the conceptual lens of public spheres theory and counter-public spheres. It compares the official AI narrative on People’s Daily Online with public discussion about AI on the social medium WeChat, where we assumed that official views would be challenged. Using a combination of qualitative and computational methods, 140,000 AI-related articles published between 2015 and 2018 were studied. Findings reveal that AI-related discourse on WeChat is surprisingly similar to that on People’s Daily Online. That is, it is dominated by industry and political actors, such as government agencies and technology companies, and is mostly characterized by discussions about the economic potential of the technology, with strongly positive evaluations, and little critical debate
