An extensible product structure model for product lifecycle management in the make-to-order environment

This paper presents a product structure model with a semantic representation technique that make the product structure extensible for developing product lifecycle management (PLM) systems that is flexible for make-to-order environment. In the make-to-order business context, each product could have a number of variants with slightly different constitutions to fulfill different customer requirements. All the variants of a family have common characteristics and each variant has its specific features. A master-variant pattern is proposed for building the product structure model to explicitly represent common characteristics and specific features of individual variants. The model is capable of enforcing the consistency of a family structure and its variant structure, supporting multiple product views, and facilitating the business processes. A semantic representation technique is developed that enables entity attributes to be defined and entities to be categorized in a neutral and semantic format. As a result, entity attributes and entity categorization can be redefined easily with its configurable capability for different requirements of the PLM systems. An XML-based language is developed for semantically representing entities and entity categories. A prototype as a proof-of-concept system is presented to illustrate the capability of the proposed extensible product structure model

NOW “ANDY GOES TO SCHOOL” TOMORROW “ANDY GEHT IN DIE SCHULE”: A PHENOMENON OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGES AND CULTURES OF NAMES IN INDONESIA

    Get PDF
This paper aims at describing the phenomenon of the development of language and culture of names in Indonesia especially of those new names that have been being talked about in both print and electronic media in Indonesia these recent months. One of those names is Andy Goes To School. The data were obtained from both print and electronic media in Indonesia. The data of names that were assumed being new were then paid attention to, noted down, categorized and elucidated. The development of languages and cultures was based on the forms, semantical meaning, and the language used in the names. The analysis results show that the development of languages and cultures for naming exist in Indonesian society. The development of the languages and cultures in the names could be seen from the forms, semantical meanings and the language style used in the names. This kind of development is more unique compared to the development of languages and cultures in naming in Germany society (as a comparison)

Pangeran Dan Puteri Lingkungan Sebagai Identitas Siswa Peduli Lingkungan

Universality in the 2D Ising model and conformal invariance of fermionic observables

It is widely believed that the celebrated 2D Ising model at criticality has a universal and conformally invariant scaling limit, which is used in deriving many of its properties. However, no mathematical proof of universality and conformal invariance has ever been given, and even physics arguments support (a priori weaker) M\"obius invariance. We introduce discrete holomorphic fermions for the 2D Ising model at criticality on a large family of planar graphs. We show that on bounded domains with appropriate boundary conditions, those have universal and conformally invariant scaling limits, thus proving the universality and conformal invariance conjectures.Comment: 52 pages, 11 figures. Minor changes + two important ones: a) Section 3.4 (a priori Harnack principle for H) added; b) Section 5 (spin-observable convergence) simplified and rewritten (boundary Harnack principle added, solution in the half-plane simplified

The European Forest and Agriculture Optimisation Model -- EUFASOM

Land use is a key factor to social wellbeing and has become a major component in political negotiations. This paper describes the mathematical structure of the European Forest and Agricultural Sector Optimization Model. The model represents simultaneously observed resource and technological heterogeneity, global commodity markets, and multiple environmental qualities. Land scarcity and land competition between traditional agriculture, forests, nature reserves, pastures, and bioenergy plantations is explicitly captured. Environmental change, technological progress, and policies can be investigated in parallel. The model is well-suited to estimate competitive economic potentials of land based mitigation, leakage, and synergies and trade-offs between multiple environmental objectives.Land Use Change Optimization, Resource Scarcity, Market Competition, Welfare Maximization, Bottom-up Partial Equilibrium Analysis, Agricultural Externality Mitigation, Forest Dynamics, Global Change Adaptation, Environmental Policy Simulation, Integrated Assessment, Mathematical Programming, GAMS
