Calculation of the even-odd energy difference in superfluid Fermi systems using the pseudopotential theory

The pseudopotential theory is extended to the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations to determine the excess energy when one atom is added to the trapped superfluid Fermi system with even number of atoms. Particular attention is paid to systems being at the Feshbach resonance point. The results for relatively small particle numbers are in harmony with the Monte-Carlo calculations, but are also relevant for systems with larger particle numbers. The Role of Fellow-Feelings and Organisational Harmony to Organisational Performance: A Comparative Analysis Between Two National Contexts

This study aims to test and validate the mediating role of organisational harmony and fellow feelings in the relationship between market orientation and organisational performance across two national contexts � China and Indonesia. The relevant theoretical framework suggests that when market orientation (intelligence generation, dissemination and response implementation) is used as a determinant of business performance, organisational harmony emerged as the most significant contributor to organisational performance. For the present study a data set of 108 Chinese and 67 Indonesian responses gathered via convenience sampling from senior managers and the multi-level sequential mediation path analysis is used to examine the above mediating role. The results from the multi-group analysis (MGA) of the above relationship between China and Indonesia demonstrate that the research framework�s implications did not differ between the two countries. The findings of this paper contribute to the relevant theory by testing and validating fellow feeling and organisational harmony suggesting managers as well to devote resources on building harmonious organisations. Religious Community Harmony In Hadith Perspective

The study of religious harmony is essential as religious sentiments often lead to conflict of tension. Not only in Indonesia, but also in other parts of the world, although social, political, economic factors are quite coloring, but religion cannot be denied its role in social conflict. This is meanly related to the lack of tolerance towards other faiths. Among the way to create religious harmony is to examine the framework of Islamic epistemology analysis on the basis of religious harmony. Islamic epistemology believes in the source of the truth of revelation, reason, empirical, and intuition. The methods and tools used in the search of truth are the guidance of revelation, reason, empirical, and intuition. The Theological basis examined in this study is derived from The Hadiths of The Prophet Muhammad that are relevant with religious harmony. This study is included in the literature study category with primary data taken from the books of hadiths and supported by secondary data from various books that examine the religious harmony. Islamic epistemology is used as an analytical blade of foundation for exploring sources of truth which are related to the foundations of religious harmony in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad which later expected to grow awareness to respect each other. This step is expected to be one of intersection that bridges the realization of religious harmony, especially in Indonesia

Diversity and Humanity in Islam: A Perspective of Religious Moderation

The important principles in Islam that emphasize simplicity, balance, tolerance, justice, and respect for differences reflect the profound teachings of Islam and play a key role in maintaining social harmony in diverse societies. Overall, religious moderation in Islam is an approach centered on values that promote tolerance, peace, and appreciation of differences. This is a relevant and essential principle in an increasingly interconnected and diverse world, where a deep understanding of Islamic teachings can help resolve conflicts and promote harmony among different religious communities. The research method used in this study is a literature review (library research), with a research approach based on the analysis and synthesis of literature relevant to the specific research topic. The literature review method can be employed to gather and analyze relevant text sources, including books, academic papers, journals, and other sources discussing diversity, humanity, and moderation in the context of Islam. The results of this research show that religious moderation provides a comprehensive overview of the importance of religious moderation in Islam and how values such as tolerance, national commitment, anti-violence, respect for tradition, welfare, justice, balance, humanity, and diversity are applied in the Islamic context. In the modern era, where communities are increasingly interconnected and global challenges such as extremism and radicalization arise, understanding and practicing religious moderation is crucial to promoting peace, harmony, and cooperation among humanity

Strengthening the global system of protected areas post-2020: A perspective from the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas

Protected areas are the cornerstones of biodiversity conservation and have never been more relevant than at the present time when the world is facing both a biodiversity and a climate change crisis. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) has been helping to set global standards and best practice guidelines in protected area planning and management for 60 years. Following this guidance, many countries have made significant progress toward their Aichi Target 11 commitments under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The global community will be coming together at the 15th Conference of the Parties of the CBD to set new biodiversity conservation targets for the next decade, as milestones to 2050 and a vision of “a world living in harmony with nature.” This paper lays out the WCPA perspective on priorities for supporting effective protected and conserved areas for the post-2020 era

The use of animal-based health and welfare parameters – what is it all about?

Organic farming is characterized by several goals that are expressed in daily practices and in standards. Some of the important goals for organic production systems are naturalness, harmony on all levels of production, local recycling of resources, and the principle of precaution (Anonymous, 2002). For organic herds, good animal welfare is an explicit goal, and this includes that the overall goal for the organic farming systems regarding naturalness and harmony in the herd are met by giving the animals possibilities to perform natural behavior and achieve harmony within the group. Freedom for the animals to make as many choices as possible should be respected (Vaarst et al., 2004; Verhoog et al., 2002 & 2004). The production system is not sustainable if animals show evidence of pain, disease, or distress as a result of an inadequate system or disharmony between the animals and the system. Therefore it is of crucial importance to be able to assess and evaluate the animals’ response to the system. This need is not only relevant for organic systems. Public concern about farm animal welfare has steadily grown during recent years. In this context, welfare assessment has many roles such as identifying current welfare problems, checking farm assurance and legislative requirements have been met, indicating risk factors leading to a welfare problem, testing the efficacy of interventions, formulating a product information/labelling system, or research tool for evaluating and comparing production systems, environments, management systems, animal genotype etc. (Whay, 2007). Improvements in animal welfare may be achieved through (1) assessment of animal welfare, (2) identification of risk factors potentially leading to welfare problems and (3), interventions in response to the risk factors. In order to see whether the improvements have worked, it is furthermore important to be able to measure or assess the improvements and see if it has worked. In this process the animal based parameters help us to identify the animal’s response to the system, and therefore also the potential problems in this system. It is the aim of this presentation to give an overview over concepts of welfare assessments, and animal based parameters, and present the ideas in the project Welfare Quality in order to create a background for understanding and discussing the use of animal based parameters in the current ANIPLAN project
