Relative controllability of linear difference equations
In this paper, we study the relative controllability of linear difference
equations with multiple delays in the state by using a suitable formula for the
solutions of such systems in terms of their initial conditions, their control
inputs, and some matrix-valued coefficients obtained recursively from the
matrices defining the system. Thanks to such formula, we characterize relative
controllability in time in terms of an algebraic property of the
matrix-valued coefficients, which reduces to the usual Kalman controllability
criterion in the case of a single delay. Relative controllability is studied
for solutions in the set of all functions and in the function spaces and
. We also compare the relative controllability of the system for
different delays in terms of their rational dependence structure, proving that
relative controllability for some delays implies relative controllability for
all delays that are "less rationally dependent" than the original ones, in a
sense that we make precise. Finally, we provide an upper bound on the minimal
controllability time for a system depending only on its dimension and on its
largest delay
Control of functional differential equations with function space boundary conditions
Problems involving functional differential equations with terminal conditions in function space are considered. Their application to mechanical and electrical systems is discussed. Investigations of controllability, existence of optimal controls, and necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality are reported

Consensus Control for Leader-follower Multi-agent Systems under Prescribed Performance Guarantees
This paper addresses the problem of distributed control for leader-follower
multi-agent systems under prescribed performance guarantees. Leader-follower is
meant in the sense that a group of agents with external inputs are selected as
leaders in order to drive the group of followers in a way that the entire
system can achieve consensus within certain prescribed performance transient
bounds. Under the assumption of tree graphs, a distributed control law is
proposed when the decay rate of the performance functions is within a
sufficient bound. Then, two classes of tree graphs that can have additional
followers are investigated. Finally, several simulation examples are given to
illustrate the results.Comment: 8 page
On the computation of -flat outputs for differential-delay systems
We introduce a new definition of -flatness for linear differential delay
systems with time-varying coefficients. We characterize - and -0-flat
outputs and provide an algorithm to efficiently compute such outputs. We
present an academic example of motion planning to discuss the pertinence of the
approach.Comment: Minor corrections to fit with the journal versio
Relative controllability of multiagent systems with pairwise different delays in states
In this manuscript, relative controllability of leader–follower multiagent systems with pairwise different delays in states and fixed interaction topology is considered. The interaction topology of the group of agents is modeled by a directed graph. The agents with unidirectional information flows are selected as leaders, and the others are followers. Dynamics of each follower obeys a generic time-invariant delay differential equation, and the delays of agents, which satisfy a specified condition, are different one another because of the degeneration or burn-in of sensors. With a neighbor-based protocol steering, the dynamics of followers become a compact form with multiple delays. Solution of the multidelayed system without pairwise matrices permutation is obtained by improving the method in the references, and relative controllability is established via Gramian criterion. Further rank criterion of a single delay system is dealt with. Simulation illustrates the theoretical deduction
