In this paper I am discussing the repositioning of traditional conservation concepts of historicity, authenticity and versioning in relation to born digital artworks, upon findings from my research on preservation of computer-based artifacts. Challenges for digital art preservation and previous work in this area are described, followed by an analysis of digital art as a process of components interaction, as performance and in terms of instantiations. The concept of dynamic authenticity is proposed, and it is argued that our approach to digital artworks preservation should be variable and digital object responsive, with a level of variability tolerance to match digital art intrinsic variability and dynamic authenticity

At present, cultural heritage is in a dangerous condition and it is all influenced by several factors such as natural disasters and man-made disasters. For example, in Indonesia in March 2018 there was a destruction of the Dayak Indigenous Sites whose cases were damaged due to human factors, not to mention talking about the destruction of damaged cultural sites such as in several countries such as Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan & Indonesia. The use of technology-based Virtual Reality (VR) in maintaining cultural heritage is very important because the identity that is in cultural heritage is the foundation of evidence of human life in the past. Threats in the form of human behavior and natural disasters have an impact of erasing historical and cultural traces which could threaten a nation in relation to the main national interests of a country. Maximizing the benefits of technological advancements by using Virtual Reality as an alternative to preserve cultural heritage & cultural exploration, this utilization can lower the cost of study of cultural exploration such as exploration of cultural heritage locations that are far especially in transport costs

This paper takes as its focus the Midland Group Gallery in order to first, make a case for the consideration of the geographies of art galleries. Second, highlight the importance of galleries in the context of cultural geographies of the sixties. Third, discuss the role of provinciality in the operation of art worlds. In so doing it explicates one set of geographies surrounding the gallery – those of the local, regional and international networks that connected to produce art works and art space. It reveals how the interactions between places and practices outside of metropolitan and regional hierarchies provides a more nuanced insight into how art worlds operated during the sixties, a period of growing internationalism of art, and how contested definitions of the provincial played an integral role in this. The paper charts the operations of the Midland Group Gallery and the spaces that it occupied to demonstrate how it was representative of a post-war discourse of provincialism and a corresponding re-evaluation of regional cultural activity
