    Result Oriented Based Face Recognition using Neural Network with Erosion and Dilation Technique

    It has been observed that many face recognition algorithms fail to recognize faces after plastic surgery and wearing the spec/glasses which are the new challenge to automatic face recognition. Face detection is one of the challenging problems in the image processing. This seminar, introduce a face detection and recognition system to detect (finds) faces from database of known people. To detect the face before trying to recognize it saves a lot of work, as only a restricted region of the image is analyzed, opposite to many algorithms which work considering the whole image. In This , we gives study on Face Recognition After Plastic Surgery (FRAPS )and after wearing the spec/glasses with careful analysis of the effects on face appearance and its challenges to face recognition. To address FRAPS and wearing the spec/glasses problem, an ensemble of An Optimize Wait Selection By Genetic Algorithm For Training Artificial Neural Network Based On Image Erosion and Dilution Technology. Furthermore, with our impressive results, we suggest that face detection should be paid more attend to. To address this problem, we also used Edge detection method to detect i/p image properly or effectively. With this Edge Detection also used genetic algorithm to optimize weight using artificial neural network (ANN)and save that ANN file to database .And use that ANN file to compare face recognition in future DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.16041

    Preserving Trustworthiness and Confidentiality for Online Multimedia

    Technology advancements in areas of mobile computing, social networks, and cloud computing have rapidly changed the way we communicate and interact. The wide adoption of media-oriented mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets enables people to capture information in various media formats, and offers them a rich platform for media consumption. The proliferation of online services and social networks makes it possible to store personal multimedia collection online and share them with family and friends anytime anywhere. Considering the increasing impact of digital multimedia and the trend of cloud computing, this dissertation explores the problem of how to evaluate trustworthiness and preserve confidentiality of online multimedia data. The dissertation consists of two parts. The first part examines the problem of evaluating trustworthiness of multimedia data distributed online. Given the digital nature of multimedia data, editing and tampering of the multimedia content becomes very easy. Therefore, it is important to analyze and reveal the processing history of a multimedia document in order to evaluate its trustworthiness. We propose a new forensic technique called ``Forensic Hash", which draws synergy between two related research areas of image hashing and non-reference multimedia forensics. A forensic hash is a compact signature capturing important information from the original multimedia document to assist forensic analysis and reveal processing history of a multimedia document under question. Our proposed technique is shown to have the advantage of being compact and offering efficient and accurate analysis to forensic questions that cannot be easily answered by convention forensic techniques. The answers that we obtain from the forensic hash provide valuable information on the trustworthiness of online multimedia data. The second part of this dissertation addresses the confidentiality issue of multimedia data stored with online services. The emerging cloud computing paradigm makes it attractive to store private multimedia data online for easy access and sharing. However, the potential of cloud services cannot be fully reached unless the issue of how to preserve confidentiality of sensitive data stored in the cloud is addressed. In this dissertation, we explore techniques that enable confidentiality-preserving search of encrypted multimedia, which can play a critical role in secure online multimedia services. Techniques from image processing, information retrieval, and cryptography are jointly and strategically applied to allow efficient rank-ordered search over encrypted multimedia database and at the same time preserve data confidentiality against malicious intruders and service providers. We demonstrate high efficiency and accuracy of the proposed techniques and provide a quantitative comparative study with conventional techniques based on heavy-weight cryptography primitives

    This thesis addresses the question of the authenticity of identity photographs, part of the documents required in controlled access. Since sophisticated means of reproduction are publicly available, new methods / techniques should prevent tampering and unauthorized reproduction of the photograph. This thesis proposes a hashing method for the authentication of the identity photographs, robust to print-and-scan. This study focuses also on the effects of digitization at hash level. The developed algorithm performs a dimension reduction, based on independent component analysis (ICA). In the learning stage, the subspace projection is obtained by applying ICA and then reduced according to an original entropic selection strategy. In the extraction stage, the coefficients obtained after projecting the identity image on the subspace are quantified and binarized to obtain the hash value. The study reveals the effects of the scanning noise on the hash values of the identity photographs and shows that the proposed method is robust to the print-and-scan attack. Cette thèse propose une méthode de hachage pour l’authentification de photographies d’identité, robuste à l’impression-lecture. Ce travail met ainsi l’accent sur les effets de la numérisation au niveau de hachage. L’algorithme mis au point procède à une réduction de dimension, basée sur l’analyse en composantes indépendantes (ICA). Dans la phase d’apprentissage, le sous-espace de projection est obtenu en appliquant l’ICA puis réduit selon une stratégie de sélection entropique originale. Dans l’étape d’extraction, les coefficients obtenus après projection de l’image d’identité sur le sous-espace sont quantifiés et binarisés pour obtenir la valeur de hachage. L’étude révèle les effets du bruit de balayage intervenant lors de la numérisation des photographies d’identité sur les valeurs de hachage et montre que la méthode proposée est robuste à l’attaque d’impression-lecture. Biometric systems follow a typical pipeline, that is composed of separate preprocessing, feature extraction and classification. Deep learning as a data-driven representation learning approach has been shown to be a promising alternative to conventional data-agnostic and handcrafted pre-processing and feature extraction for biometric systems.     Security and Privacy Attacks with and against Machine Learning

    Both researchers and industry have increased their employ of machine learning in new applications with the unfaltering march of the Digital Revolution. However, without complete consideration of these rapid changes, undiscovered attack surfaces may remain open that allow bad actors to breach the security of the system, or leak sensitive information. In this work we shall investigate attacks with and against Machine Learning, starting in the application space of authentication which has observed the adoption of ML, before generalizing to any ML model application. We shall explore a multitude of attacks from ML-assisted behavioral side-channel Attacks against novel authentication systems, Random Input Attacks against the ML models of biometrics, to Membership and Attribute inference attacks against ML models which find employ in Authentication among a host of other sensitive applications. With any proposed attack, there is an obligation to define mitigation strategies. This advancement of knowledge in both attacks and defenses will make the ever-evolving landscape that is our digital world more hardy to external threats. However, in the constant arms race of security and privacy threats, the problem is far from complete, with iterative improvements to be sought on both attacks and defenses. Having not yet attained the perfect defense, they are currently flawed, paired with a tangible cost in either the usability or utility of the application. The necessity of these defenses cannot be understated with a looming threat of an attack, we also need to better understand the trade-offs required, if they are to be implemented. Specifically, we shall describe our successful efforts to rapidly recover a user's secret from observation resilient authentication schemes (ORAS), through behavioral side-channels. Explore the surprising effectiveness of uniform random inputs in breaching the security of behavioral biometric models. Dive deep into membership and attribute inference attacks to highlight the infeasibility of attribute inference due to the inability to perform strong membership inference, paired with a realigned definition of approximate attribute inference to better reflect the privacy risks of an attribute inference attacker. Finally evaluating the privacy-utility tradeoffs offered by differential privacy as a means to mitigate the prior membership and attribute inference attacks
