Journalists in Switzerland : structures and attitudes revisited
It is often stated that journalism and the media are going through some fundamental changes. In this article, we present a description of the journalists in Switzerland, based on a nation-wide survey conducted in 2015. This data gives a quantitative description of journalists in Switzerland. Furthermore, this article makes comparison between various groups of journalists, for example between the different language regions in Switzerland, in order to give a differentiated picture of who the journalists are, what their working situation looks like and how they perceive their own professional role in society

Soft tissue structure modelling for use in orthopaedic applications and musculoskeletal biomechanics
We present our methodology for the three-dimensional anatomical and geometrical description of soft tissues, relevant for orthopaedic surgical applications and musculoskeletal biomechanics. The technique involves the segmentation and geometrical description of muscles and neurovascular structures from high-resolution computer tomography scanning for the reconstruction of generic anatomical models. These models can be used for quantitative interpretation of anatomical and biomechanical aspects of different soft tissue structures. This approach should allow the use of these data in other application fields, such as musculoskeletal modelling, simulations for radiation therapy, and databases for use in minimally invasive, navigated and robotic surgery
Bjorken Sum Rule and pQCD frontier on the move
The reasonableness of the use of perturbative QCD notions in the region close
to the scale of hadronization, i.e., below \lesssim 1 \GeV is under study.
First, the interplay between higher orders of pQCD expansion and higher twist
contributions in the analysis of recent Jefferson Lab (JLab) data on the
Generalized Bjorken Sum Rule function at is studied. It is shown that the inclusion of the higher-order
pQCD corrections could be absorbed, with good numerical accuracy, by change of
the normalization of the higher-twist terms. Second, to avoid the issue of
unphysical singularity (Landau pole at Q=\Lambda\sim 400 \MeV ), we deal with
the ghost-free Analytic Perturbation Theory (APT) that recently proved to be an
intriguing candidate for a quantitative description of light quarkonia spectra
within the Bethe-Salpeter approach. The values of the twist coefficients
extracted from the mentioned data by using the APT approach provide
a better convergence of the higher-twist series than with the common pQCD. As
the main result, a good quantitative description of the JLab data down to
350 MeV is achieved.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures, minor change
System-size dependence of strangeness production in high-energy A+A collisions and percolation of strings
We argue that the shape of the system-size dependence of strangeness production in nucleus-nucleus collisions can be understood in a picture that is based on the formation of clusters of overlapping strings. A string percolation model combined with a statistical description of the hadronization yields a quantitative agreement with the data at sqrt s_NN = 17.3 GeV. The model is also applied to RHIC energies
Statistical theory of thermodynamic and dynamic properties of the RbHSO ferroelectrics
Within the modified four-sublattice model of RbHSO with taking into
account the piezoelectric coupling to the strains ,
, , and , the polarization
components, static and dynamic dielectric permittivity of clamped and free
crystal are calculated in the mean field approximation. At the proper choice of
the values of the theory parameters, a satisfactory quantitative description of
the available experimental data is obtained.Comment: 16 pages, 15 figure
