    PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM KIMIA R SMA BI MENGGUNAKAN KURIKULUM RUJUKAN DARI SINGAPURA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk kurikulum R SMA BI berupa silabus dan RPP kimia untuk kelas XI Semester II melalui adaptasi dan/atau adopsi kurikulum kimia dari negara Singapura, serta untuk mengetahui kualitas dari keterlaksanaan silabus dan RPP hasil pengembangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) yang dilakukan dengan mengacu pada model 4-D dengan tahapan Definition, Design, Development, dan Dissemination. Penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap Development. Subjek coba pada penelitian ini adalah 36 peserta didik SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo dengan rincian: 8 peserta didik untuk uji kelompok kecil dan 28 peserta didik untuk uji lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, tes (post-test), dan lembar jawaban peserta didik pada lembar diskusi. Masukan terhadap sialbus dan RPP hasil pengembangan pada tahap penilaian yang berasal dari ahlli materi kimia, ahli pembelajaran, peer reviewer, guru kimia R SMA BI dan guru serta peserta didik pada tahap uji kelompok kecil digunakan sebagai dasar untuk perbaikan silabus dan RPP pada ujicoba tahap berikutnya. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) pengembangan silabus dan RPP hasil pengembangan kurikulum kimia menggunakan kurikulum rujukan dari Singapura ini dilaksanakan sesuai dengan prusedur pengembangan kurikulum; (2) kualitas sialbus dan RPP secara keseluruhan "Sangat Baik" dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia di SMAN & Purworejo; dan (3) keterlaksaan silabus dan RPP kimia kelas XI Semester II R SMA BI hasil adaptasi dan/atau adopsi kurikulum kimi R SMA BI terhadap kkurikulum kimia dari negara Singapura ditinjau dari uji coba terhadap peserta didik adalah "terlaksana dengan baik".     ABSTRAK Maylin Yohana, (2020): Kinerja Belajar Siswa dalam Menggunakan Kelas Google sebagai Sistem Manajemen Pembelajaran di Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris UIN Suska Riau Berdasarkan penelitian awal peneliti, penelitian, para peneliti menemukan kinerja belajar siswa menggunakan Google Classroom sebagai sistem manajemen pembelajaran di Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris UIN Suska Riau. Selain itu, peneliti juga menemukan teori yang relevan yang mengatakan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja belajar siswa yang menggunakan Google Classroom dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja belajar siswa. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif yang membantu peneliti untuk mengetahui kinerja belajar siswa menggunakan Google Classroom. peserta dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di UIN Suska Riau. Sampling bertujuan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Untuk penelitian ini peneliti memberikan kuesioner untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja belajar siswa, kemudian mereka juga diberikan pertanyaan dalam wawancara yang ditranskripsikan. Kemudian data dikategorikan ke dalam 2 kategori yang telah ditentukan oleh peneliti sebelumnya.     INVESTIGATING ENGLISH VOCABULARY OF GRADE X STUDENTS AT SMA NEGERI 3 TOLITOLI

    Abstrak Tujuan dari studi kasus ini menggambarkan tentang permasalahan siswa dalam menguasai kosakata. Subyeknya adalah siswa kelas X pada SMA Negeri 3 Tolitoli. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumen sekolah, kuisioner, dan wawancara. Analisis datanya menunjukkan bahwa kosa kata siswa masih sangat rendah atau sangat kurang. Ini berarti hanya sedikit siswa yang dapat menjawab benar dalam pilihan ganda, mencocokkan kata pada soal mencocokan kata, melengkapi kalimat, mengartikan kata, dan menyusun kalimat. Diantara lima soal yang disediakan oleh guru, 93% siswa gagal dalam mengerjakan soal  menyusun kalimat. Selain itu, masalah dari pengaruh kosa kata siswa dan membuat proses belajar dan mengajar tidak efektif adalah gangguan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan proses komunikasi karena kurangnya minat siswa siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris, kurangnya kosakata bahasa inggris, dan sulitnya pemahaman dan mengidentifikasi konsep dalam bahasa Inggris.     Teacher is a professional educator with the main task of educating, directing, evaluating students on the path of education. The Indonesia government has introduced a new educational curriculum which called. “2013 Curriculum”. This research had two research question, 1. How does the English teacher implement of scientific approach in English language teaching (ELT) at SMPN 1 Driyorejo?, 2. What are the English teacher challenges in implementing of scientific approach in English language teaching (ELT) at SMPN 1 Driyorejo?. The aims of this research is to analyze English teachers’ in implementing scientific approach and the English teachers’ challenges in different grade in implementing scientific approach in English language teaching (ELT) at SMPN 1 Driyorejo. In this research, qualitative descriptive was use as the research design. This research collect the data with uses observation checklist and interview three English teacher in different grade at SMPN 1 Driyorejo. The conclusion of this research is implementation of scientific approach in English language teaching (ELT) at SMPN 1 Driyorejo, two English teacher in different grade had implement scientific approach still sequence with the step of implementing scientific approach in English language teaching (ELT). While one the English teacher did not implementated scientific approach did not sequence with step of implementation of scientific approach in English languag teaching. Three English teacher at SMPN 1 Driyorejo had the challenges to implement scientific approach are develop students ability, develop students understanding, develop students active, and make students happy to study English lesson

    Problem-Solving Ability of Science Students in Optical Wave Courses

    Optical wave courses at the Department of Science discuss waves and optics. The purpose of this study is to describe the problem-solving ability of students in optical wave courses. The method used is quantitative descriptive with one group pre-test post-test design. Method of data collection involves a test given to students before and after the student worksheet was provided in the course of optical waves. This study showed an increase in scores experienced by as many as 15 students. This shows that the problem-solving ability of students has increased

    Early Alert of At-Risk Students: An Ontology-Driven Framework

    As higher education continues to adapt to the constantly shifting conditions that society places on institutions, the enigma of student attrition continues to trouble universities. Early alerts for students who are at-risk academically have been introduced as a method for solving student attrition at these institutions. Early alert systems are designed to provide students who are academically at-risk a prompt indication so that they may correct their performance and make progress towards successful semester completion. Many early alert systems have been introduced and implemented at various institutions with varying levels of success. Currently, early alert systems employ different techniques for identifying students that may be at-risk. These techniques range from using machine learning algorithms for predicting students that may become at-risk to more manual methods where the professors are responsible for assigning at-risk tags to students in order to notify the student. This thesis will introduce an ontology-driven framework for early alert reporting of students at-risk. To be more precise we will determine early alerts for students who are at-risk with an ontology-driven framework employing situational awareness. Ontology-driven frameworks allow us to formalize situations in a way that is similar to the human interpretation of situational awareness. The ontology presented will be constructed using OWL the Web Ontology Language. The use of this language will facilitate the description and reasoning of the situation as it is a commonly supported programming language with computable semantics. In this piece we will consider factors such as advisor notes, learning management system interaction, as well as other factors related to student attrition to assign at-risk tags to students who may be at academic risk

    This research intents to know Teacher’s Strategies in Teaching Reading Recount Text at the First Year Students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio Kampar Subdistrict Kampar Regency. In this research, formulation of problem is “How are teacher’s strategies in teaching reading recount text at the first year students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio Kampar Subdistrict Kampar Regency?” This research is descriptive method and the subject of this research was English teacher at the first year students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio Kampar Subdistrict Kampar Regency. The instrument of this research was by using observation. Observation was conducted for four times to find out teacher’s teaching strategies on reading recount text at the first year students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio. While, the object of the research was strategies implemented by English teacher at the first year students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio The data analysis to find out teacher’s strategies in teaching reading recount text at the first year students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio was by using direct observation with alternative answer “yes” and “no”. It shows that the number of “yes” answer is 21 items (52.5%) and for “no” answer is 19 items (47.5 %). It is found that the percentage of the teacher’s teaching strategies is 52.5 %. It means, the teacher had strategy in teaching reading recount text is 52.5 %. Therefore, by having this percentage it is obviously indicated that the teacher’s teaching strategies on reading recount text to the first year students of MA Al-Islam Rumbio Kampar Subdistrict Kampar Regency is categorized “LESS”
