Introduction Cognitive behaviour therapy delivered in the format of guided self-help via the internet has been found to be effective for a range of conditions, including depression and anxiety disorders. Recent results indicate that guided self-help via the internet is a promising treatment format also for psychodynamic therapy. However, to date and to our knowledge, no study has evaluated internet-delivered psychodynamic therapy as a transdiagnostic treatment. The affect-phobia model of psychopathology by McCullough et al provides a psychodynamic conceptualisation of a range of psychiatric disorders. The aim of this study will be to test the effects of a transdiagnostic guided self-help treatment based on the affect-phobia model in a sample of clients with depression and anxiety. Methods and analysis This study will be a randomised controlled trial with a total sample size of 100 participants. The treatment group receives a 10-week, psychodynamic, guided self-help treatment based on the transdiagnostic affect-phobia model of psychopathology. The treatment consists of eight text-based treatment modules and includes therapist contact in a secure online environment. Participants in the control group receive similar online therapist support without any treatment modules. Outcome measures are the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale and the 7-item Generalised Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7). Process measures that concerns emotional processing and mindfulness are included. All outcome and process measures will be administered weekly via the internet and at 6-month follow-up. Discussion This trial will add to the body of knowledge on internet-delivered psychological treatments in general and to psychodynamic treatments in particular. We also hope to provide new insights in the effectiveness and working mechanisms of psychodynamic therapy based on the affect-phobia model

Recent trends in process control and industrial automation scenarios have resulted in the emergence of many pioneering techniques that have revolutionized the manufacturing industry. In order to maintain quality and precision, advances have been associated with the increasing use of microprocessors in process control applications. Most of the industrial process control systems utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Also due to the increase in internet usage and recent innovations in PLC software, remote monitoring and PLC control of process through the internet is also a recent trend. This thesis presents course/lab material for integration in the Industrial Engineering curriculum. The course/lab content was designed to improve the student\u27s knowledge and to broaden the industrial engineering curriculum at West Virginia University (WVU). This thesis proposes the use of inexpensive T100MD+ PLCs. A traffic light control system was developed to introduce the fundamental concepts of Boolean algebra and real-time control. A series of control exercises can be carried on the traffic light system. A temperature sensitive system was also developed. Students can test various PID control strategies on this hardware/software platform. Students will also have the ability to control the process via the internet

Building upon the notion that TV and video programmes will soon be accessible via the World Wide Web, there is the question of if and how it can bring added value for education. How will these two genres (working on the Internet vs. relaxing on the sofa) go together? From a post-modern point of view, the mass media (such as TV) contribute to the supposed mechanism of 'social constructionism'. However, the programme makers have a major control over the underlying message that is articulated, whereas constructionism for learning is a more conscious process by which students 'build' new knowledge through experimentation and conceptualizatio

Developing the electronic service acceptance model from Internet securities trading system

This study examines the antecedents of electronic service acceptance in the context of Internet securities trading. The survey results, from a sample of securities investors show five antecedents that have a positive impact on perceived usefulness: ease of use, information quality, accessibility, trust, and flow-control of the securities trading process. Respondents see the highest benefit in the flow-control of the securities trading processes via the Internet channel. Investors prefer to have the freedom to control details of the trading process when trading securities. In this context, the results suggest that trust may be a better antecedent to perceived usefulness and attitude toward usage, rather than a parallel, direct determinant of intention to use

Today many web-based applications developed to be accessible via the internet. The problem that often occurs is commonly found on web application vulnerabilities. Many application developers often ignore security issues when developing applications that can cause substantial losses if a hacker manages to gain access to the system. A hacker can replace web pages, obtain sensitive information, or even take over control of the website. For that reason there is a need for applications that can help developers to overcome these problems. This application is expected to detect the vulnerabilities that exist on a website. Existing processes include: The process of crawling to get the whole link from target websites, attacking process is useful for testing the attacks, and the last is the process of displaying a report about the security hole on the website. This application is developed using Microsoft Visual C # 2010. Based on the results of tests made on this application, it can be concluded that the application can detect vulnerabilities in the website and report any form of link that has a security hole on the website

Internet and industrial revolution 4.0 brought influence in society, especially in agriculture, the changes that occurred were in farming activities by applying appropriate technology. This activity is much in demand, especially the planting irrigation process. However, the process of irrigation or irrigation that has used appropriate technology still has some shortcomings such as pumping and control hardware systems that are still stand-alone using a timer, so the automation and monitoring process is still semi-manual. As done in the cultivation of janggelan (black grass jelly), which focuses more on irrigation governance, because the janggelan requires water intake and fertilizer nutrition which is always monitored. In order for the device to function optimally, it is made a miniature tool based on the internet of things to facilitate control and monitoring via a smartphone. In order for the miniature tool can be integrated and function in real-time with the Internet of things, then all devices (YL 69 sensors, Relay, Board NodeMCU esp 8266 are given C language coding commands, via the Arduino ID interface. synchronization between the user interface, the miniature devices, and Internet networks running normally. IoT devices and internet networks can run normally. Sensor data is able to give the pump selenoid command to turn on under humidity conditions of less than 65%, while the pump is off at 40% humidity. The success rate of data sent on Google Firebase with an average total ping of 70.28% was all successful

Organic Industry Challenges in the Face of Negative Media Reports

As the organic industry continues to grow in volume and profile, so too does the resistance to the industry by vested interests, aided by the sensationalist media. Information and misinformation concerning the quality and safety of organic foods is being conveyed to consumers via the mass media and the Internet. Although the organic industry is defined by process standards, detractors of the industry are focusing on product quality and safety issues. Reactive responses by the organic industry may be justified and may or may not include critiquing the disparaging research and the negative media reporting. Proactive responses involving disseminating favourable research are more desirable but must be based on well designed research. Reducing opportunities for critics can be accomplished through rigorous organic product quality control and ensuring that the touted product benefits match the actual product attributes
