Generating Feynman Diagrams and Amplitudes with FeynArts 3
This paper describes the Mathematica package FeynArts used for the generation
and visualization of Feynman diagrams and amplitudes. The main features of
version 3 are: generation of diagrams at three levels, user-definable model
files, support for supersymmetric models, and publication-quality Feynman
diagrams in PostScript or LaTeX.Comment: 10 pages, minor changes in the text and markup, version to appear in

Albert Camus: Rebellion Through the Ethical Frameworks of Emmanuel Levinas and Soren Kierkegaard
Albert Camus, in his novel length essay The Rebel, puts forth an argument regarding the nature of rebellion and how it is differentiated from other acts of political violence on account of its fidelity to its initial premise - the fundamental value of all individuals and parties involved. Camus, throughout this text, discusses the limitations of rebellion, its ethical character and how it is differentiated from its fallen counterpart revolution. Due to the fact that this text is primarily a critique of totalising political systems and philosophies, Camus is equivocal about the underlying philosophical foundations of this phenomena, refusing to put forth any argument as to why rebellion occurs, preferring to focus upon what rebellion is. This research proposal will outline an avenue of research into why rebellion occurs by calling on Emmanuel Levinas and Soren Kierkegaard. Specifically, I intend to conduct an ethical reading of Camus’ rebellion utilising the thought of Levinas and Kierkegaard in order to argue that rebellion is essentially a manifestation of the human condition and the entailing predisposition for one to act ethically, even if it may go against one’s best interests
Symmetry properties of one- and two- electron molecular integrals
The maximum numbers of distinct one- and two-electron integrals that arise in calculating the electronic energy of a molecule are discussed. It is shown that these may be calculated easily using the character table of the symmetry group of the set of basis functions used to express the wave function. Complications arising from complex group representations and from a conflict of symmetry between the basis set and the nuclear configuration are considered and illustrated by examples
Greek Ritual Norms: The Textuality of Ritual Norms ('Sacred Laws') in the Ancient Greek World
In this second of two essays on the topic of ancient Greek inscriptions, I will briefly explore and discuss the textuality of ritual norms or, 'sacred laws', by looking 1) at the reasons for these ritual norms to have been written down in the first place and 2) how these norms/laws/decrees were able to get their observers to adhere to them. Throughout the essay I have made use of J.L. Austin's Speech Act Theory to better contextualize the meaning of the inscriptions dealt with
Multi-Media Mail in heterogeneous Networks
The MIME approach seems to be the most reasonable effort for allowing the sending and receiving of multimedia messages using standard Internet mail transport facilities. Providing new header fields, such as MIME-Version, Content-Type, and Content- Transfer-Encoding, it is now possible to include various kinds of information types, e.g. audio, images, richtext, or video, into a RFC 822-conformant mail. Making use of these headers, it is possible to fully describe an attached body part, so that a receiving mail user agent is able to display it without any loss of information. Additionally, the definition of the "multipart" and "message" content types allows the creation of hierarchical structured mails, e.g. a message containing two alternative parts of information, one that can be shown using a simple ASCII-terminal, the other to be displayed on a multimedia workstation. Allowing the definition of bilaterally defined content types and providing a standardized means of establishing new content types prevent MIME from being a one-way road and supply mechanisms to extend MIME for future use
Rethinking the demarcation of Malachi 2:17-3:5
emarcating a unit remains important for the interpretation and understanding of the particular unit in a (Biblical) book. In the case of the book of Malachi, the majority of scholars adhere to the traditional demarcation of the fourth unit in the book of Malachi (2:17-3:5). Closer investigation reveals that the matter is not as settled as one might think. Other possibilities are also advocated by scholars. Some regard Mal. 2:17-3:12 as a unit. Another possibility is to regard Mal. 2:17 as a unit on its own followed by either Mal. 3:1-5 or 3:1-12 as a separate unit. A third possibility is to view Mal. 2:17-3:6 as a unit. This paper argues for yet another possibility stretching from Mal. 2:17-3:7a. Arguments for this delimitation are given and the impact this new possibility has on the exegesis and eventual meaning of both Mal. 2:17-3:7a and the following unit (Mal. 3:7b-12) is explored
MATLAB - Teil I: Vektoren, Matrizen und lineare Gleichungssysteme
This is a tutorial on teaching and programming in MATLAB. It is based on scripts and exercise in the course of numerical mathematics for students of the faculties Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Computer Science and Automation after first term. This part I contains basic aspects and elements of numerical linear algebra, especially methods for systems of linear equations. Further parts give MATLAB-based algorithms and programming tools for eigenvalue problems, nonlinear equations and systems of equations, polynomial and spline interpolations and approximation
